I am a Canadian and live in Nova Scotia. We are kind of protected from all the strange things happening in the world. However our small island of Prince Edward Island is experiencing migrants protesting things that the foreign students should be in titled to things that belong to the Canadian people. Now a city Brampton,Ontario, is under attack with an influx of migrants from the east. With this there are constant protests with fighting and destroying of property.
The reason that I am bringing this up is that I do think these countries are planning on taking over the Western countries. I cannot believe the entitlement that this group of people want the next day they have landed in our country. I live in the province of Quebec. When I hear that the woke mind virus has caught on mostly in the anglosphere, I can concur. Not saying that we don't have to deal with some of it, but the French aren't known for being pc, if you know what I mean. Ontario and BC are just gone!

I respect his intellectual integrity and courage, I admire his broad-minded, thorough analysis, deep thought and superb eloquence. My sentiments are also very personal, as I feel immense gratitude as an Israeli Jew who finds herself in a dark, collapsing, savage world. Knowing that he is there, seeing him wear the Dog Tag makes me very emotional and I feel slightly less alone.

As someone who has lived in both the Muslim world and the West, I find Douglas Murray's analysis to resonate deeply. Having spent a good portion of the first half of my life in a Palestinian refugee camp and the latter half in the West, I've witnessed firsthand the stark differences between these worlds. I agree with 99% of what Douglas says, I also recognize the complexities involved.
The polarization and societal breakdown in the West are alarming, and it's disheartening that many people, including those like myself, feel unable to fully express our views due to fears of reprisal from "certain communities". The vindictive and vengeful aspects of some "cultures" can make it difficult to engage in honest discussions.
At the same time, it's crucial not to overlook the role of Western/US foreign policy in contributing to global unrest. The depletion of resources and the support of tyrannical regimes have certainly played a part in creating the challenges we see today. These actions have had far-reaching consequences, and in some ways, we're witnessing the 'chickens coming home to roost.'
However, I wholeheartedly agree with Douglas on the value of what the West-particularly its Judeo-Christian roots-has brought to the world. The principles of freedom, individual rights, and the rule of law are some of the best things humanity has ever developed, and I am in full support of preserving and promoting these values. I am even willing to fight on the side of these values because I have been on both sides of the fence and have come to firmly believe that this is the only way for us to move forward as a species. Allowing any other ideology or power to take charge would be a major step backward, one that could potentially cause humanity to lose a thousand years of advancement.

May I add my thoughts: The Muslim Brotherhood intends to rule the world. There is no need for us to fear being called 'biased' or ”unfair" or " prejudiced". Our fears are from their clearly written manífesto. The 'war' in Gaza is really the West's first battle in the war for Democracy against Dictatorship. Now in 2024 Our Individual Rights, An elected legislature, An Independent Judiciary, Our freedom of expression and the Rule of Law (over citizens, the courts of law, police, government and the military) are all under attack.

In 1975 as a child I went to Northern Ireland. There were places you did not go in Northern Ireland. My cousin blew a tire and my mother asked my cousin why he did not ask for help to change the tire from one of the soldier's on the bridge. My cousin at the time said you do not talk to soldier's as they would shoot first and ask questions later. He fixed the tire and we went on our way.
Anyone who lived in Northern Ireland during that time understands division and the horrors of fight between the Catholics and the Protestants.
I also had a Canadian cousin who served in the Canadian Army forces and he always said that he wished that all young adults should be shipped to a war zone, because if Northern American young adults witnessed what he and his fellow soldiers did, we a society would understand how good we have it in Northern America.
All politicians should be required to have served in the army, navy, and air force. Then they would understand what it's like to live in a free world and they would likely to start forever wars.

Absolutely. Listening to him; I actually remember what a beautiful thing the English language can be, and I'm not even a native English speaker - I don't even live in an English speaking country!
But I have had SUCH a journey coming from my strict and tough English teachers who despised we defaulted to American accent because it was easier, to actually moving in to the USA and realising, ACTUALLY realising, that my English was too advanced for most people and that I should abandon the tenses and the sentence structure and just talk like a racist depiction of a Native American from a 1950ies movie to talk with people who are Americans NOW... It's... it's bizarre. Glad to be home.

He is more thorough than any journalist alive today, or maybe ever. He has a uniquely gifted way of speaking, plus is unmatched as a wordsmith. So, from now on, it's mandatory everyone hears every public word this man says, for the benefit of humanity.
America first is not isolationist, it’s common sense. When you’re $36 trillion in debt and lack even the manufacturing capability to keep your own military supplied how does it make sense to arm non ally’s in a conflict that it is not vital to our national security interests?
The USA is the most powerful country on earth, due to its military, economics and US$ as world reserve currency. The US also runs NATO, which gives the USA a big say in European affairs. The European partners in NATO deeply care about Ukraine because it is on their borders, and the whole purpose of NATO was to oppose USSR/Russia.
An isolationist USA loses its preeminent status on the world stage, loses influence on NATO and probably loses world reserve currency. It would also leave you with an unnecessarily large and purposeless military. Sounds like a bad deal to me.
Who’s a non-ally?
Lets not forget a small issue of globalization . When WW I and II happened , USA could mostly be unaffected (due to the ocean in between) . It wont be able to if we get WW III. Washing your hands of the problems(which you could have solved or limited at least) just allows them to escalate - and eventually comes back to bite you in the a**(after it escalated enough) .
Douglas Murray is a real visionary.
HIs interlude chapter (Gratitude) in "The War On The West" is one of the finest pieces of writing i have ever read.
So true about education in this country. Cra Cra. Kind of reminds me of why the Catholic Church created their own schools. Best decision. I can always tell when someone has gone through the Catholic school system. Moral, educated, fair. It’s honestly just natural education of the whole human being. Prove me wrong if you dare!
When I discovered Douglas Murray I have never stopped following his news it’s unbiased forthright in what he says and so true….strange that his thinking runs parallel to mine, straight and unbiased. Hard to find journalist with such view.

I'm from a wee tiny island in Shetland, Scotland. I came to America when I was 13, 1963. When you come from a place so small that you know everyone, you learn the real definition of INDEPENDENCE: IN-DEPENDENCE. We worked together. We shared the same holidays together -- we have Up Helly aa, where we take the long boat to the shore and BURN IT! So much fun. I doubt there is a place in Norway or any Scandinavian countries that still celebrate that. -- My entire life there I never saw anyone who wasn't US! The first Black person I ever saw was when we lived in Detroit, Michigan for about a year. I saw my first Indian/Sikh. He had this peacock blue turban trimmed with a gold band. He had a dark blue three piece, double breasted suit, with wingtiped shoes. A big gold watch on his right wrist, carrying a brown leather brief case. I ran up to him and asked if he was Indian. He smiled and we had a wee conversation. I was about to tell him where I was from. He stopped me so I could let him guess. He guessed right away. I asked, how did you know? He went to business school in St. Andrews! SOOOO COOOOOL! I too NEVER thought people were really mean. Sometimes you might get cross with someone, but kill to hurt with dire intent, I just couldn't believe it. Five years later, I found out, in Vietnam, there ARE people who live to kill! Their religions even grants them murder if done in the name of their god. But I learned also that we in The West were once no better than the rest. But when the king has little care for the people who make him king, those people band together and create the one, SINGULAR SAFE PLACE, The West. We had to clear out the riff raff, and it takes so long that in The West, and especially America works on improving every second of every day. But there are those who wish to destroy us. Where will the people who ACTUALLY, REALLY need a safe place to stay, to learn how to make where they came from a place they can't wait to go back to. That ain't what's happening now! Greece is the name most people know when talking about where Democracy came from. I say: Greece had the IDEA of Democracy, but America is the IDEAL of Democracy. Or it was until now. This must stop. Or it will be stopped. If you have never been to war, and most all of you HAVE NOT, you don't want it. And a civil war -- which will not happen when our worlds are now over-filled with the dregs of the world simpering through our streets; but not in the streets of, Nancy Pelosi -- except for a guy with a hammer with her husband -- or any of those smug, rich Dems and RINOS. EVERY 65 MINUTES OF EVERYDAY A VETERAN PUTS A BULLET IN HIS EAR. WHY DOESN'T ANYONE CARE?

42:41 wait. What? Wasn’t Al-Qaeda like 200 people in Afghanistan which shifted their location to Pakistan or Sudan or somewhere like that after the invasion? And why does it take 20 years to eat out 200 people? Does he think that they were flying planes out of Afghanistan to bomb America? I’m totally confused about his take on this right here. how did 20 years in Afghanistan prevent another attack? Because another didn’t happen in the last 20 years? How do I know that wasn’t just all the precautions set up after 9/11 that prevented it? Somebody explain.

@@harrymills2770 The US already had an "Empire" before WWI when it annexed the Philippines. And it was the French who were primarily responsible for the harsh reparations that Germany had to pay following WWI during the Treaty of Versailles. That combined with the Great Depression of the late 1920s led to the rise of the Nazis in Germany. So, I don't really see how American "meddling" led to WW2 as you put it.
Liberal-led America has caused more post second world war problems meddling in other countries affairs than it has solved.

yeh, i saw that silent march of muslim men, walking down tottenham court rd (a few days after the girls in southport were murdered) and I felt a chill. The police hadn't been told in advance, several roads were closed on a week day, and the message was clear. ''look how many of us there are, are you scared?''. I was scared, and I'm in Ireland. They weren't chaotic yobs, they walked with a calm unified intention to send that message.

To add to that leaders who think they God like and invincible. My God is your God, and I believe in only one creator, the same creator of this world.
