Nedelcovic is definitely not a red wing. maybe i'm missing something since i havent finished the video
I definitely butchered the spelling of his last name, but you know who I'm talking about :D
Oops, it happens. Just pretend it's a Pens magnet,
@@TheHockeyGuy No problem mistakes happen, just noticed only 3 comments and I had to point that out as a wings fan. Love your videos
easy to confuse since he was a redwing just the season prior.
he was playing in detroit last season, but thg has said, its not thg video if there arent mistake😄
Sean Monahan playing 83 games in an 82 game season is epic.
That's what happens when you get traded mid-season sometimes. Good on him for staying healthy all year.
It’s cool to see him healthy.
Fun fact… the NHL record is 86 GP in a single season.
@@TheDolfanar Bob Kudelski. And he scored 40 goals in those 86 games. Way to boost your stats and get a 40 goal season!
they played 84 games years ago for a few seasons....maybe two 🤔
Ned was in Pittsburgh this year not Detroit.
Shannon looks good in red and white.
Wings are moving up in his personal list. Choo Choo MFers!
I’ve long thought Monahan would end up on the Islanders eventually. He seems to be such an Islanders type, and now that he’s almost 30 he’s just at the age where Lou will find him interesting.
That's the shame, though, how the Isles always seem to be trending older, yet their overall age is still decent. Old and young with barely anything in the middle. That's the drawback to being a middling of the pack team. I'd like to see them get better, because they're definitely trending that way.
Warren Foegele is GROSSLY overrated. He had a career year by a country mile in a contract year. Anything more than 2.5m would be a GIGANTIC boat anchor for a bottom 6 forward. Unfortunately he is a McDavid buddy…
He scored 20 by being on Draisaitl's wing. He's not worth more than 2.5 because as a true 3rd line guy he'll never score more than 13 or 14 again.
Hows Huberdoo working out?!?!?
I agree with overrated but not GROSSLY overrated. He is definitely getting the benefit of McDavid and Draisaitl but i think he will be a good 35-40 point player in the coming years. I see something like a 2.5-3 × 4 type of contract but thats just me
There ain’t no way he’s re signing in Edmonton
I guess the question is whether he will want to be a discounted 3rd liner on the Oilers or a have a 2nd line opportunity on a non-contender
That wings hat is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Think a Detroit blackout or rave jersey as a third would be legit
@@heathclark318 yeah... something better than this reverse retro jersey.
@@halion50100 I agree, too close to the normal jersey. Need some fresh takes with base colors. Keep the Red but use any number of other color combos outside white. Cool with some white trim out but use Black, hell trim out that wheel and wing with some Chicago style piping. Lots of ideas
I want to see where Patrick Kane ends up. That was a helluva audition contract with my Red Wings. Definitely proved he can still play.
LOAD MANAGEMENT CONTRACT! Patrick Kane is almost a point per game player. But he's not getting any younger and you never know about surgery ... especially when the testosterone levels naturally drop and you cant "heal like Wolverine"
I'd like to sign Patty for 4.75 million, on a load management contract that says 65 games MAX regular season, no back to back games and miss the middle game on a 7 day 3 game stretch. bonuses for going deep in the playoffs where he plays every night! I want him on Draisaitl's wing.
52 pts! >in 63 games< is decent points for 4.75 million caphit. GM's kindof sort of look at the brittleness of older players with a history of missing games ... and pray to the LTIR gods. Mark stone should get a load management contract ... 7 mil expecting he plays 60. Fucks with the fuckery of LTIR ... its kind of expected IR for nagging injuries ... the kind that don't come off the cap.
@@SamayelIamseeing Kane in an Edmonton jersey would be very very strange. Can’t argue he wouldn’t be a good hit with Drai or Mcdavo though
@@jacoblaurain8911 Edmonton doesn't need scoring, they need a reliable goalie.
@@ChiipGames Seems like it. Just playing along 🤷♂️
Agents don’t do the players many favors. The players themselves aren’t very smart. Agents point players to the most money, by and large, but don’t mention taxes, both state and local. I’d rather play for less and on a winner, than make more, play for a crap team, and get screwed on taxes. Again, the players aren’t usually smart enough to see this.
+1 for Wings thumbnail and uni 🐙🛞🪽
So you've got 4 Red Wings, and also, 4 former Red Wings.
Yea, a lot of the signings by Steve were simply stop gaps for prospects coming up soon.
Man I sure hope the Wings bring back Kane he was fun to watch every night.
No doubt. I'd love to see it too. However, there are other UFAs I'd want to keep over him. It depends on if we could get a good forward who had more defensive skills. Kane is amazing in that last 70 feet, and having his experience and leadership on the team is an unquantifiable but undoubtedly major benefit, but this team's Achilles' Heel has been, and continues to be, team defense, with consistent S-tier goaltending being a close second.
The UFAs I think I would want to keep (in order from most to least):
1. Ghost
2. Sprong
3. Kane
4. Fischer
4. Perron (tie)
6. Reimer
That was harder to do than I first thought it would be! Had to think about it for a bit.
@@iagmusicandflying thank god our GM doesn’t have your vision. Sprong at 2 🤣🤣🤣 kanes number 1. Just for the sole fact our young guys would have a generational superstar to learn from. Let alone all the other factors he provides. I love ghost but he isn’t in this team’s long term future. Everyone else can go either this year or the next when the kids start taking over.
@@-Nv-94 well, there is a reason i work in computer security and I'm not an NHL GM. 🤣
@@-Nv-94 I agree. Kane is #1. If we don’t resign him we’ll have the cap space to sign a 2nd line winger that fits our time line (Necas, Debrusk). Ghost and Sprong don’t fit our future.
@igmusicandflying you mention Detroit needing to improve the team defense, yet your top 3 UFAs to keep are all poor defensive players. At the end of the season Sprong was getting scratched because he was so bad. I don't think there's anyway he stays.
Mike Sillinger actually played for 12 teams.
Wish the Oilers could afford to keep Henrique. He’s so smart and reliable.
He might go back to NJ on a cheap deal. But its very unlikely, but i would love him back in NJ for a cheap deal, he is 33 so a big deal will be a yikes
@judistzoinkiski3395 If we are talking about old guys in NJ, Henrique and Kane both would fit perfectly.
Plus, there is enough young players to give them a day off every now and again to remain fresh.
I hope Detroit keeps Kane and Gostisbehere. Perron on the other hand I'd prefer if we didn't resign him. He's too much of a liability with the dumb penalties and that suspension he had when Larkin got knocked out.
Ned was with Penguins, no?
Yes Nedelcovic played for Pittsburgh in 23/24????
Goalie Ned played with Pittsburgh this year. You are getting tired. Take a month off and come back fresh
Beniers has had 40 good games and then was concussed and has had 1.5 bad seasons since. He's not the same and may never return to his pre-concussion stats. Hopefully they don't overpay.
The one I'm watching that I don't think I heard mention of: Chris Tanev. Huge core part of Dallas Stars defense, very quiet player. I think Jim Nill will want to keep him, but it's whether he wants to stay in Dallas or move on. And if he wants to move on, I think a lot of hungry GM's will be looking for him to shore up their own D cores.
If he wants to come back to Vancouver I know the fans would for the most part like it
Why does ned have a wings logo next to him he was on Pittsburgh this year
Thinking Ned was still a Red Wing was pretty funny when you named all 3 actual Red Wing Goalies talking about him. I more so thought the Winged Wheel was because you had Bert and Mantha right next to 2 expiring Red Wing deals. Tons of rumors about either of them coming back, doubt there's much to it, but figured that'd where you were going.
I count 12 teams for Mike Sillinger.
your videos are so detailed. But if there's anyone to listen to about hockey, its this guy!
Not Ned back in Detroit 😭 Shannon must be tired
Nedeljkovic played for the Penguins NOT Detroit
I bet our Utah license plate looks better than whatever lame logo they come up with. Would actually prefer those colors also- sky blue, white, and clay/copper.
Alot of rumors on Ehlers/Perfetti
KentJohnson,Mercer,Schneider,McMicheal,Jokiharju RFA as well
Brossoit has earned a 1b tandem or could see a Toronto,LA,Carolina,NJ,Ottawa tske chance on him.
Drouin is 29 already? WOW.
Kaner pls stay :))))
Kane wants TERM. He’s sick of moving
Surprised you don't have Matt Roy (RD, LA) on the list, seems like a pretty big target.
Yeah, I thought I missed something when I didn't see him. He had a really strong year playing with a pretty good not great partner. I don't know if he stays in LA.
Both the Seattle guys are part of the core. Get 'em signed Ron.
MADNESS BOARDS!!!! We are all here for it! Love the note to commenters, I have talked about these guys already!!!
I'd rather the Bruins take a stab at getting Bertuzzi who showed some good chemistry with Pastrnak. Time for DeBrusk to move on.
It'd be suprising if a 20 goal player came back to the stars? get your opinions right, he wants to come back and said he'd be happy to come back and it's a very open possibility.
Nedelkovic played for Pittsburg last season. Not the Red Wings. Wings had Lyon, Husso, and Reimer.
Speaking of Sillinger and playing for the most different teams, the Duke has 8 right now I believe.
Thumbs-up for wearing a Wings jersey.
I am surprised that there was no discussion about Matt Roy, I know the Kings were "making a run, lol" but they could've gotten a heckavu return for te Dman. Nechas was a spark in the post season, I don't watch much of Carolinas games but he looked like the most dangerous guy against NYR. As a fan of the Kings and never a Byfield hater I'm glad he didn't have the best 2nd half and playoffs and hope that his AAV isn't an untapped potential cap hit. Talbot was overrated all season. Thanks for all the coverage my guy.
Signing Lundell to play under Barkovs lead seem like a no-brainer. Especially when we look at his play off performance so far.
Pavelski is done, can no longer follow the fast pace of these games, specially in the Playoffs. Telling by Johnston's reaction last night, he knows it is over.
I wish you would've talked about Olofsson. I feel like he has the talent but he's been biting the curb with his ice time. Could definitely see him become a reliable 20+ goal scorer on the middle 6.
Leafs need to bring back maximum domi, and bring in Sean durzi. I wouldn't mind Jones back as a third string,
Doesn't mean too much but its interesting. Reino didn't buy a house in Florida, he built a house. So at the very least he actually likes living in Florida.
Nedeljkovic played for Pittsburgh this year
Utah - Who will they land ? Would love to see them make a big splash & go after the big fish . Stamkos (TB)
anthony duclair should also be on mike sillinger watch as well! a year younger than Domi and has played for 8 teams
Perron’s return to stl isn’t a want. It’s a NEED
If marchessault leaves, that opens a roster spot for Mark stone!
😅😅😅
Is there a video on this channel that does like a team breakdown for each team so I could become more acquainted with their rosters and notable players?
As a Jets fan I hope we find a way to keep Brossoit, but he will be getting PAID
Good summary. Looking forward to your pre-draft show and then your thoughts post the draft.
The Nucks should keep Hronek if he takes a somewhat reasonable deal.
Ned was with Pitt 23-24 and Det 22-23.
If the Rangers lose tonight I could see them taking a run at wild Bill to be their rw1 with mika and kreider
Alex lyon
I really hope we are able to extend Henrique and Pickard, they are the most important I would say.
I don't see Henrique happening, 75% of his salary is being retained by other teams so he'd have to take a massive paycut to stay on (at least I think that's how that works I'm no salary cap expert)
Domi,Duclair &Sprong would make a pretty strong 3rd line for a reasonable cap hit!
Yes but you’ll discover sooner or later why it would be a very good 3rd and not 2nd line, all 3 of these players are capable of turning invisible at any time … meaning your entire line has pretty good odds of disappearing completely a few dozen times per season.
Sprong could easily get a deal with almost any team especially at 2mil cap hit.
I’d really like to see the leafs nab Montour Pesce or Skeji
Domi in Toronto is a lock
Not at 5-6m. I wouldn't do more than 4yrs at 4m
Has Mo Seider signed yet for the red wings? There’s no news in Germany
Jonathan Toews.
Will he play hockey or is gone forever?
I think he's pretty much retired at this point. I doubt his body can play competitive NHL caliber hockey
@@adriane7841 was afraid of na answer like that.
Haven't heard anything about him.
Hope he is okay though.
Most successful captain we've had in decades and decades
Not one Islander on this list. I can't decide if that's good or bad.
Rangers look like they need to do some things. Any thoughts on the rangers?
I wouldn't mind seeing Domi coming back to Chicago at something like 2 year x 5mil - could be great on Bedard's wing
He wants to stay in Toronto. He'll get 4.5
love Pinto in Ottawa! Give them 2 more years
Just stay away from the betting sites
He definitely gave the team some energy, he is well-liked by the team and plays hard, a keeper for sure. Would be great to see him get back to 20+ goals which he is surely capable of over a full season.
If you are the San Jose Sharks (with Celebrini most likely being in the opening roaster, Smith confirmed on the roaster, Musty might make it since he can’t play in the AHL and no point of playing another year in a league you dominated in , Borderlue made the roaster at the end of season and Gushkin still fighting for a spot) who are realistic ufa/rfa targets for this team that would be a good idea? I always wanted Necas to come over due to him and Hertl being friends but that shipped has sailed and doesn’t make much sense to do now. I think one forward who can be a mentor would be a great idea and the team desperately could use 2 defensmen who can lead the young kids and play lots of minutes
Kotkaniemi? Lindholm? Backlund?Beetuzzi? Debrusk? Seem like forward options
Ghost? Barrie? Hronek? Pesce? Dumba? Seem like defensive options
drouin belongs with mckinnion .on his rw :P
LOAD MANAGEMENT CONTRACT! Patrick Kane is almost a point per game player. But he's not getting any younger and you never know about surgery ... especially when the testosterone levels naturally drop and you cant "heal like Wolverine"
I'd like to sign Patty for 4.75 million, on a load management contract that says 65 games MAX regular season, no back to back games and miss the middle game on a 7 day 3 game stretch. bonuses for going deep in the playoffs where he plays every night! I want him on McDavid's wing.
52 pts in 63 games is decent points for 4.75 million is reasonable. We kindof sort of look at the brittleness of older players with a history of missing games ... LOAD MANAGEMENT. Mark stone should get a load management contract ... 7 mil expecting he plays 60. Fucks with the fuckery of LTIR ... its kind of expected IR for nagging injuries ... the kind that don't come off the cap.
okay, like a brother don't ever change! I wish Boston made it to the finals so the oilers would crush all of your favs on the way to the cup. That would be evil! but fun. Soulcrushing. Fun. There's prolly some METAL tune that would play the highlights of that fun. I prolly jynxd my beloved OIL with this trashtalk. Okay :) Cheers.
I think Ottawa should look at Sean Durzi, make a trade involving Chychrun.Jusso Valimaki is another right shot d man thats 6'2" and 214.JBD and Chychrun for Jusso Valimaki and Sean Durzi.
TAMPA FAN: Its pretty hilarious to me that Drouin is getting such a low amount these days, I guess you could say he had it coming. That boy was a star when he was younger in Tampa until he threw a fit (some would say rightfully so), but as a Tampa fan looking back on Drouin, I really wish he stayed with Tampa long term (Marchessault as well, moreso even).
Didn't Jake Debrusk request a trade a year or so ago?
Warren Foegle is a 20-25 pt guy who skates fast, doesn't hit or fight, retrieves pucks, has a league average shot (good! sometimes) ... and an overpay dissapointment until he got to play with Leon for 22 pts instead of the 3rd line role. 2.5 million! If he wants a raise to play somewhere else, he can eff off elswhere. Kassian. Played with mcdavid. Resigned for $$ cuz he got so many points ... arrrgh Same shit.
Henrique for 2 years at 4 million/yr isn't an overpay. solid player.
You have first line center dedication sir...
I’d love it if we were able to keep Henrique & McLovin. But according to “rumours” McLovin wants more money. So who knows
Ah yes. Detroits goalie, Nedeljkovic
he was the season before, minor mistake
Look out for my Utah Coyotes. We finally got an owner that will spend money and allow us to be near the cap max. So looking forward to who we get. Yes I said Utah Coyotes. I been a fan of the boys since CUJO was a Coyotes. Til they have an official name i'm calling them the coyotes of Utah. The team basically moved despite the Arizona team being inactive.
My favorite that i dont think i heard and would rank top 10. I think brandon montour will be big pick up for someone. Super tough tp judge what hos contract will be....
I don't get it. Mantha's a bum.
The Canucks only have three free agents of note and two of them are RFAs. Thank goodness, because this could be a very silly off season with the first salary cap increase since covid-19. It might be smart to wait a week after most teams will have zero cap space and prices will drop.
I personally feel that Toronto focuses on forward/D, and goes with Woll and Hildeby in net with Pettruzzeli (spelling) or Jones as 3rd string. Get the russian goalie warmed into the AHL (1 of 2 they have).
Kind of surprised you didn’t address Zadina in SJ. 13 goals on an offensively starved team, RFA, possibility of not getting resigned.
If losing Necas means re-signing Guentzel, I think that tradeoff is absolutely worth it. Guentzel already looks like a better fit in the Canes system over the course of a few months, than Necas ever has over the past few years. That's not a knock on Necas, he just needs to be somewhere that plays a more open, offensive style to take full advantage of his skillset. Also, Seth Jarvis is about to make bank lol.
I can't watch hockey without hearing Shannon's analysis in my head sometimes.
" they exchanged some pleasantries after the play."
" The ref is being informed that he sucks."
" There was some pushing and shoving after the goalie held onto the puck."
"Does anybody user checkbooks anymore?"
My auto repair shop has added a 3% fee for card transactions, so I have had to dig out the check book when getting work done there.
Neds in shitsburg not Detroit dude
I have a soft spot for goalies may be one of my flaws
I do agree you (THG) with Stolarz and his nrs. when he was a Duck but it was a bit weird to see him in a Panthers jersey
Ducks going shopping
Love y'all. Be well.
Dang I forgot Ghost is a free agent he really helped our power play and we’re gonna take a big step back without him and Kane if we don’t resign them.
I’m curious which center(s) specifically Boston will go for.
Lot's of decisions to be made with the Wings. Would love to see Bert back in Red and White.
Jake Debrusk in Edmonton would be cool. Loui would love that.
I really want to know how much it might cost for the Oilers to keep Desharnais. There were rumors not that long ago about it maybe being a longer contract.
Samsonov to LA?
I too have NEVER trusted Canucks management but I do trust the current management team
Here's the Wings fan POV:
Gostisbehere: His offense was nice, but it was inconsistent at 5 on 5 where he wasn't as reliable defensively and MAN did he look shaky with the puck in the last couple months of the season. I'll always be grateful for that leap to hold the puck in that lead to Raymond's miracle goal in game 81, but I don't think we can afford to keep him just for his offense with how many defensemen we already have.
Kane: Hope he stays. He was a big boost to the team, 47 points we didn't expect to get. He'll keep the top 6 solid and be good for a player like Berggren to spend time with.
Sprong: His goal scoring efficiency is undeniable, but his defensive ability is almost non-existent. We don't really have room for him, at all. We need a few younger guys to come in and start getting NHL time, so he's got to go.
Perron: He said he wants to stay, he's provided consistent points, and he's a huge part of the locker room. He should definitely take a pay cut, but I still want him around.
Totally agree with all of this.
Patrick Kane to the Oilers is gonna hit like crack
I think Sprong would fit nicely in Vancouver
