Jamie Benn man, might be tied my least favourite player alongside Trouba. Last year when he cross checked Stone, got kicked out, left the rink while the game was still going on, dodged media and left it to him teammates to face the music. All while being the captain...and then next day says it was unfortunate how he tripped on Stone. Taking zero ownership / responsibility. That's a shit captain right there.
Honestly the tipping point for me with the Hawks was that press conference were the Hawks owner began to "discuss" with the reporters because they had the nervers to ask about KB
Seeing your video title, I could not believe how the Flames were not on that board. Then I realized this was (mostly) about playoff teams. As you were...

man just a few years ago I could see the Ducks being on here with Getzlaf, Perry, and Kesler...even earlier if you replace Kesler with Pronger and add in Parros and Brad May lol
I'm a Dallas fan and I understand those who don't like Benn. When I'm playing against Dallas in EA Sports Hockey, I spend a lot of time trying to cheap shot Benn. My player gets a lot of penalty time in those games!
If I hear media say "storylines" one more time... I just want to see my team go 16-0 and win it all. I don't care about any "storyline" beyond that one.
Montreal has fans all over Canada too for that matter, even in southern ontario and all the way to BC, but I guess they don't get as much coverage, even when they are a top tier team and the Leafs are not (a lot of the mid-late 00's to mid '10s) which is kinda weird.
Ever since the Blackhawks got rid of Kane they’ve been completely different. The change was happening when he was there but once he was gone it felt like a brand new organization to me.

Super Mario would look over his shoulder for the referee, (only 1 in those days) rabbit punch his opponent, and get the retaliatory call….and Rempe in NY
As a Vegas fan I accept and understand the villain status. It is deserved and I’ve not loved all the things the organization has done especially Fluery. But ownership got it done and brought a chip to Vegas a city of 2.2 million that had nothing to cheer for prior to VGK.
My hatred for Tampa Bay goes back to 2004, when uproar over the Bertuzzi/Moore episode had so many people declaring hockey an abomination. There was a reporter (who wrote for a Tampa Bay paper) who wrote a column basically declaring that Canadians were immoral deviants and that the NHL, hockey and Canada could basically go to hell and die with the impending lockout. After, of course, hopefully, the Lightening win the Stanley Cup. I have never, in my entire life, wanted a team to lose more than the Lightning. But, of course, they did win the cup. And I have never forgiven them.
As far as Chicago goes, there isn't a single person involved with the Brad Aldrich scandal that's still in the organization. They all were either fired/resigned, or died.
As a Rangers fan, Flyers fans are easily the reason to hate on the Flyers. Homophobic slurs at my brother, several fans offering fights, a beer thrown at me. Burning their city down for a championship really feels par for the course with that place It’s obviously not all the fans, it never is. But I’ve had better experiences in my colors at the Devils or Caps then neutral at Philly
Wasn't there a sexual harassment suit filed against Chicago just a couple of weeks ago? For an organization with a turned-over front office, they are alleged to have kept some of the same 'sweep it under the rug' shitty behavior.

That photo of Marchand posing beside his EXTERMINATE THE RAT sign is pretty classic.
Honestly the tipping point for me with the Hawks was that press conference were the Hawks owner began to "discuss" with the reporters because they had the nervers to ask about KB
Its most definitely Florida, straight yanked that crown from Tampa and Boston
I'm new to hockey this season, so seeing the hatred between fans of certain teams is fascinating to me
I’m a Panthers fan and I love the villain aspect it’s part of our grittiness of play
Dirtiness does NOT equal grittiness...
@@blackenedmagic888don't call us dirty just because you can't beat us
Going as a ref around 2019-21 with a Pens hat for Halloween is elite level trolling. That's fantastic.
Dude, a dalek magnet? You just became my favourite person on the internet.
winnipeg fan here finally happy about a video that doesn't mention the jets!
Seeing your video title, I could not believe how the Flames were not on that board. Then I realized this was (mostly) about playoff teams. As you were...
On Facebook I constantly get a group in my feed called ‘Maple Leafs SUCK’ without even seeking it out, that’s how hated they are lmao
I always embrace the villain role with any sports team I cheer for.,
A couple of those had Radko Gudas in it playing for them so villanous indeed!
How could you forget Gary Bettman? Bettman is the biggest a villain in the NHL.
Not sure how you can have a list like this but miss or skip.Tom Wilson of the capitals.
I was shocked to find FlamesNation channel on YT. They spend half the podcast ripping on Oilers. I didn't realize there was groups like this out there cos in Edmonton, we don't even think about Flames for more than a few minutes yearly. Flattering.
man just a few years ago I could see the Ducks being on here with Getzlaf, Perry, and Kesler...even earlier if you replace Kesler with Pronger and add in Parros and Brad May lol
I was soooo expecting my penguins to make the list.... its a good day - thanks hockey guy!!!
As a hater, this shocked me as well.
yeah Penguins are my greatest villain, so I don't agree with Hockey Guy. It's always been anyone but Pittsburgh
@lorencappelson6475 but the penguins are so adorable--
I'm a Dallas fan and I understand those who don't like Benn. When I'm playing against Dallas in EA Sports Hockey, I spend a lot of time trying to cheap shot Benn. My player gets a lot of penalty time in those games!
Villains make for the best storylines in sports, change my mind.
If I hear media say "storylines" one more time...
I just want to see my team go 16-0 and win it all. I don't care about any "storyline" beyond that one.
That's a nice retro flyers logo Shannon 👍
Boston gear for this vid - perfect 🤣
This could’ve been a 32 team video, gotta try to come up with reasons why each team is a villain
The Sabres would be easy 13 year playoff drought that has made a rabid fan base, apathetic to the team
Shannon don't you remember that hit by Benn on Larkin? Oh no?
Could you do a video on Marner's time as a maple leaf please?
Benn should definitely be on the list for Dallas
Shannon, your thought on the new Dr. Who?
The villains of the maple leafs? Having too many fans so they can have bad fans
As a Dallas fan it’s Benn no doubt. I make jokes about wanting benn to throw an elbow when we are losing. He’s known to be rough and Dallas fans love it for the most part from what I’ve seen and heard
Super Mario would look over his shoulder for the referee, (only 1 in those days) rabbit punch his opponent, and get the retaliatory call….and Rempe in NY
How did you miss Benn in Dallas
Dallas, fans are annoying, Benn is very dirty
It's a lot harder to claim a guy is overrated when they have 3+ cups compared to 0. 😂
Torts is the reason to love the Flyers
As far as Chicago goes, there isn't a single person involved with the Brad Aldrich scandal that's still in the organization. They all were either fired/resigned, or died.
As a Rangers fan, Flyers fans are easily the reason to hate on the Flyers. Homophobic slurs at my brother, several fans offering fights, a beer thrown at me. Burning their city down for a championship really feels par for the course with that place
It’s obviously not all the fans, it never is. But I’ve had better experiences in my colors at the Devils or Caps then neutral at Philly
thats a Philadelphia fan in general in all sports. It doesnt matter who they play, or who is playing for them, Philly fans are nasty.
Wasn't there a sexual harassment suit filed against Chicago just a couple of weeks ago? For an organization with a turned-over front office, they are alleged to have kept some of the same 'sweep it under the rug' shitty behavior.
Sir, Red Wings fans despise Benn and still hold a grudge for him hurting Larkin in 21. You da man Shannon!
Add Vinny Trocheck in there, he's like a store brand version of Rat Marchand.
he was already disliked when he was on FL. Kind of disappeared in Carolina. Remerged annoying and more skillful then before. I would love to have him back on the Panthers right now. This way Barkov could win a faceoff.
