Yes, but even if both would have the very same panel, you will still see difference in picture, colors etc. Just check the JZ1500 vs JZ2000 comparison.
Usually the factory default Luminance level on the LZ2000 has not been set to a proper level and the Ambient sensor has not been turned off, that's why it looks dim.
New Panasonic LZ2000 TV Is Much Better Than Ever. Both Panasonic And Samsung Have Best Pictures And Look Similar Desgin Same Both Are Brand Japan Had Sony And Panasonic And Korean Had Samsung And LG.
Wouldn't it be amazing if Panny went with a QD Oled panel next year for its top tier 2000 oled model. That's the one reason I'm holding off in 2022. If it happens then you'll have the ultimate TV.
@neogeomaster What problem are you talking about? lol. Nah, it isn't. The Panasonic hits 1,000 nits of peak brightness while the Samsung hits 1,500 nits of peak brightness. 6 HDR? WUT?! Count them all! And what would you say about sound of Sony A95K? Would it be better than Panasonic LZ2000's?
It’s impossible to tell watching this over the internet - however I’m slightly on the side of the Panasonic the Samsung does look brighter but I can also see that bright picture resulting in blown highlights. For example stop the video exactly on timeframe 4:12 and look at the front of the cat, all the detail is lost and blown on the Samsung but can easily be seen on the Panasonic. I’m all about the most natural looking picture and I prefer the Panasonic; they probably have the most accurate out of the box picture of any TV manufacture….however as I said, it’s impossible to accurately judge looking at this over the internet.
In comparisons like this, the blown out highlights are usually do to the camera not being able to capture the luminosity of the TV, not from the TV blowing them out.
Wonder how the Q tech will develop in 2023 modele, and if Panasonic will finały be one step ahead event when geting the panel from main source. Let's hope that it is in final development stage before 2023:)
IMO out of box filmmaker set on a lower luminance on Panasonic. Otherwise, the Panasonic is capable of providing high brightness maybe even higher than Samsung. In terms of color accuracy Skin tones looks a little orangish on Samsung too. Of course, on the default settings.
Nah, not higher than the Samsung. The Samsung hits 1500 nits peak brightness. The Panasonic can't reach that. It's not just brightness but also color brightness is higher on the Samsung amplifies the perceived brightness. Also, it's not how it works. You can't judge a brightness of a TV when it put next to another that is brighter than the one you judge to when you see it individually cuz the lens make the dimmer one is even dimmer focusing on the brighter one. And yep, Vivid mode unleashes the full potential of a TV so any other mode is automatically dimmer. Skin tones look way better on the Samsung also for being brighter. ;D
The panasonic is a far better quality tv and will last for years. The samsung won't last long as you can see on the tech giant UA-cam channel. It was already bent out of the box and then developed big red bar's across the screen.
does the lz2000 or lg g2 suffer from automatic dimming? what would be a better choice. excluding priceit usage will be 60% watching TV 40% gaming. Thanks
Of course it’s difficult to judge over a UA-cam video but it does seem close . During the Smurf cat scene the Samsung is overblown so there’s less detail on the cat . Yet at the same time there’s more detail and texture to the cardboard box . Just watched digital trends G2 vs A95K too and I do think the whole QD OLED revolution hype was a tad overplayed . Hope we’re able to get some A95K vs LZ2000 action soon
The LZ2000 misses colors at 3:51. So it's not close, it only looks close on some scenes but on some scenes the difference is HUUUGE. It's overblown cuz of camera doesn't have dynamic range of QD-OLED or it's smt like this. Nah, not at all. You are blind. lmao. Can't you just see how diluted colors LG's WRGB OLED have and how many more shades and higher color brightness QD-OLED gets? If you think it's a tad overplayed then you're blind. What do you expect for a TV tech to be revolutionary? To get 10,000 nits like Sony made? Nah, not at all. You probably wait microLED that suffer from massive uniformity issues. lmao.
