This is such an act of humble service. Most folks will never even know he did it. The ones who drive through prior to the clearing will just think the city is laying down on the job and that it eventually cleared itself, those who drive through after won't even consider that there's a problem.

For drains like this that are initially submerged, could you take something like a section of pipe and stick it on top of the grate to allow air escape and speed up the draining process? Ive seen your vids where the water jumps like a fountain because the air cannot escape and it made me think of snorkels like you see on submarines and stuff and wondered if could translate to civil engineering like this
So like a 2-3 foot PVC pipe stuck down into the grate while he is raking the grate open to allow the air to flow through the pipe and with the air pressure released trough the pipe the whirlpool will be stronger? -Or- are you saying that all drains should have additinal snorkle pipe attached to them so even in a localized flood the drains could all drain faster. With the side effect of being easier to locate when clogged.
@@Mac_Omegaly Pretty sure he's saying Post10 should just have a stiff pipe to shove down into the clogged drains to release air and allow it to clear faster.
