I absolutely love that you had 2 set ups, one with the camera looking at the drainage of the street and one for the clearing of the drain. It gives me so much pleasure to see the water levels receding from the street that you just can't grasp with the close up shots.
I can't believe an engineer believed those drains would work on any street, let alone one that has so many trees around it. Post 10 to the rescue, once again!
@Briarrose29 you are right. A curb inlet without a grate requires little to zero maintenance, everything floats away. And these roads don't even need the curbs, there could be a ditch or the water could just freely go into the lower forest.
Julian Niemiec not trying to be a troll, but I’m a retired Air Force aircraft mechanic and what you said makes me laugh. We used to cuss the engineers who designed the F-15, building it as if nothing would ever break or go wrong. 😆✌️ Keep it up Post! Rain and Rakes!

Hey guys. If you happen to see this guy doing this, give him a honk and let him know he is appreciated. Great job man. You should bill the local authorities for your work, or even get them to employ you as you obviously love doing this. I get hypnotised every time I watch these videos. Awesome.
You deserve a prize for putting up with all of this in order to make the roads safer! It surprises me that so many drivers don't have their lights on when it's raining. In Florida it's the law. Also, when they drive through water they should slow down enough so as not to splash anyone or another vehicle. That splash could even wind up on another driver's windshield, obstructing their view. Be safe and be considerate, drivers!
Just found your channel. You have a great voice to explain the drain issues and how you fix them. By the number of views and subscribers you have I’d say you have quite a following of others interested in the effects of Mother Nature vs. man. I’ve subscribed so I am looking forward to your videos.
This brings back memories, I grew up in a ghetto. The storm drains were small in the neighborhood. The houses were really close together. Litter would easily clog the drains. Whenever it rained the streets would flood.
There's so much more going on here, more than just unclogging a drain or pipes,, I absolutely love All your videos. I can watch for hours and I do. 🙏🦫 Thank you for sharing.

Man i have very big Respect in what your doing one man and a Tool working wonders and cant stop looking at your videos. Beavers dont like you but can live with that.
So weird how your area gets so many floods like this. Where I live this is never happening. I think it's the way the streets are. You have like city style streets in places that aren't in city area. This road doesn't look like one that needs a sidewalk and curbs. My area roads like this have no curbs and water just flows off into the ditch or sides of the roads... In the city or suburbs we have these but there are not enough trees to clog the drain with leaves. I don't know much about infrastructure but this seems like crappy design.
Seems like the drains should be in the curb. Not sure what that type is called. Curb drain? The ones where clowns like to hide LOL. I guess the brightside is it gives Post 10 something to do and something for me to watch. Which, is oddly satisfying.
Most of the drains he clears in this area are poorly designed; a significant number could just be replaced by cuts through the kerb, allowing the water to drain down the verge (like the one he cleared in the middle of this vid), rather than through a grate and down a narrow pipe. You probably live in an area with drainage designed by someone who studied civil engineering, rather than politics with media studies :).
He’s in New England. Lots of factors. Older road designs, salt/sand applied to roads for winter storms that accumulate at curbside, collection of fallen leaves in the drains (especially if it was windy) and of course trash. The salt takes a toll on the roads, wearing them out faster. Also I’ve noticed many videos in wooded areas which ups the leaves 🍁 quotient.
@@JoshuaMuse yeah exactly, we can call it the Pennywise drain, these ones are a pretty modern design, allow debris to be floated away and usually have bigger pipes leading the stuff away. The one with the grate AND the slit in the curb is also problematic because that grate catches the leaves and blocks the slit... but the design with the curbs and then ONE SMALL damn drain with those small holes, it pisses me off.
Since watching your videos I’ve been looking at the drains in my area. Apparently my town and surrounding towns take good care of them most of the time. And our drains are very different with wider grates.
I have gone down a rabbit hole with your videos! Somehow they were suggested yesterday and I have been watching them ever since. You're an interesting person, with interesting hobbies. That would make people want to splash him even more. What he needs is a "Worker Ahead. Slow Down. Splashing can result in a fine." sign. At least one PD has said they'd ticket people he catches splashing him, so it's not a lie.
I just stumbled across your channel last night (1.26.20)... I hope your community/town/city APPRECIATES what you are doing... I think it is wonderful... and VERY INTERESTING... NEW SUBSCRIBER!!!
Wow, cars slowing down, even driving on the opposite side of the road, whats going on?? Have you been pouring “Considerate driver” potion into the water supply?
Something satisfying about watching that water drain away. I used to do this for an HOA. I got a scoop shovel and drilled some half-inch holes all over the bottom of it. I could stir up the leaves and debris with the rake and then scoop out the leaves and debris away from the drain with the shovel. That way the debris didn’t keep finding its way back to the drain. I hope the motorists in your city appreciate all the hard work you do.

You need a big sign “dont splash me, im post 10 clearing your road for free. Be nice and dont splash me”
Or a sign that says "No splash No bash" as in no splash, no rock going through your window. Or "no splash or ticket"
Thank you for your service
Well done sir
Thanks for sharing this video great work as always please be careful out there.
9:24 In a million years, the second grand canyon. 😝

In Texas people will drive through roads where you can’t see how deep and it’s bothersome.. then they get stuck and want to cry for help.. glad to see you are helping the issue where you live 💜
We need to get this guy a truck/van with some blinkies on top
For all of you wondering why this fella isn't getting any recognition from the city/county, just remember rule 1 & 2 of Life.
1) Never embarrass the Institution
2) Never allow your paycheck to be threatened.
He's doing both.
But he has our respect & admiration.
Water particles: "Heh heh, we're gonna flood this road and turn into ice!"
*Distant war drums beat*
Water particles: "Eh? What's going on? Who's beating those dru- *P-P-P POST 10?! NNOOOOOOOOOooooo burble burble burble bloop!"* Down the drain
NCR Ranger good one

The water particles were talking like British people in my head for some Reason
This guy needs recognition for all he does in his community for other people. The local government should give something back to him for his hard work. Your real hard working guy 👍👍👍💦
