FLEX FX2241 24V Brushless One Handed Reciprocating Saw Review

  • While this is a one-handed reciprocating saw, this FLEX FX2241 has plenty of power to tackle just about any job. FLEX included some antivibration technology in their one-handed recip to mitigate much of the shaking back and forth that typical recips deliver. The 24-volt battery powers that brushless motor that moves the blade up to 3,000 SPM. A variable speed trigger allows you to throttle the power to your desire and application. You can get this tool for $159 (bare tool) or with the kit for $199. #flexpowertools #itswhatsnext #review

    You do such a great job showcasing the tools on here. Very much appreciated. Sometimes it's nice to have some goofiness and shenanigans like the other tools tubers. But just right to the business is definitely welcomed as well. This saw looks to have more than enough power and stroke to make quick work of whatever you let it eat. I haven't ran into many situations where a one handed recip saw would be worth investing into myself, but I'm sure there are plenty of good uses for this bad S.O.B. Flex still has my full attention and interest but until I meet someone who's using them so I can get some hands on time with, I'm sticking with my Ryobi HP tools. Love these things to the ends of the earth.

      Have converted to flex. Dewalt batteries tend to fail, Milwaukee tools (not Fuel) have failed on me. Bosch is not keeping up. Makita have great power, batteries, and are reliable but feature wise FLEX is leaving everyone in the dust. The Flex 7 1/4 " rear handle left blade is a dream to use (great power and no dust all over you). The 6 1/2 Flex inline saw is quiet, belt driven, powerful, can see the blade from both sides! And can use a straightedge because the motor does not get in the way. Blower is better than any I have ever used. 7 1/4" right blade circular saw is more ergonomic and more powerful than my DeWalt . Heavy duty hammer drill is likewise more ergonomic, more powerful, and lighter than my big DeWalt but the Flex has more torque! Variable speed side grinder is priced less than my single speed DeWalt and once again more ergonomic. Variable speed makes this grinder easier to use and safer. The 18 gauge nail gun is half the size of the DeWalt. I will sell most of my DeWalt and continue to use the Flex. I stick with the stacked lithium batteries. I never thought I would leave Makita or DeWalt but these Flex tools are definitely a step ahead.

    Straight up beast when paired with a 6 or 10 amp stacked battery. Can blow through 4x4 and 6x6 like most any 2h saw can. On top of that most of these reviews forget to mention that it’s fixed orbital but not a very large arc that would prohibit metal cutting.

    Really like the chuck design with quick insert and quick release. Wish my M18 Fuel Hackzall had that feature.

    Nicely done review, and thanks for the aluinum cutting tip too. Makes it easy to see the similarities between this, my full size Flex recip, and other recips I've used.

    I like and even WANT to get excited about Flex, BUT the fact that their lifetime warranty ONLY goes for tools purchased in 2023 and registered in 2023, STINKS! Man I don't want to buy into a platform and have some tools on lifetime warranty and others on 1, 2 or 3 year warranty. That's ridiculous and for the life of me, I can't understand why they're doing this. Just make the lifetime warranty a permanent part of your platform FLEX. Cut out the BS. For this reason, I refuse to buy into their lineup and have instead spent my money elsewhere.

      Nobody could afford that. Be happy they are temporarily offering the best warranty possible.

      Even without the lifetime warranty they have a 5 year warranty dewalt , makita 3 year Milwaukee 5 on some tools but they go from a date code on product I have had issues in past with tools them saying that it's not under warranty. My biggest problem is I am busy and don't always register my tools and I have forgotten register tools with flex but I've only had one battery issue so far

    are you limited to ONLY Flex blades?

    • @TOOL_TECHNICAL
      @TOOL_TECHNICAL 26 днів тому

      no, recip blades have a universal shape, I only use diablos for example but you can use whatever recip blades you like (just make sure they're sharp as dull blades force your tool to work harder)
