They have been my go to pellet for a couple of years now, the batches can vary quite a bit but they all seem to work well in my gun at 50yds, i also use them for the BR comps at 25 and do well with them 😀
First time using them for me mate, ive got a good selection of standard length ones to play with for the moment but I'll definitely have a look into them again.i bet they will go well through my walther barrels
boys done the club swear by them . they import from germany. i found they are pretty good i my 510 out to 40 but the wind dies seem to take them more in my gun than th standard size . nice to see you out shooting mate
RWS Superfield don't get enough love either tbh It would be great to have a chrono reading at 25 metres too....I set about doing this some years ago but....shot my chrony...twice. Preliminary results were that H&N FTT were carrying 20% more energy at 25m than JSB Exacts but at the expense of 50% group size....still grouping around half inch though...so in some ways the correct hunting pellet for those sort of ranges.
Very interesting , so you can't ( or will find it difficult ) get these " shorts " in the UK , why's that you reckon ? And in any case they need to put an " S " ahead of the " exact " on the tin , depicting the fact they are the shorties ... that said , R12 & ultra CLX owners wont buy them anyway , short pellets tend to drop back into the breach in those models .. super vid , and good shooting anawl .. excellent stuff
Have you tried falcons also made JSB, they shoot brilliant though all my rifles (hw95,, katran c,, and agt vixen), the mono pod looks a great bit of kit ,you should put it into production 👍
@@tillysgunstocks the only performance difference I’ve noticed is that jsb heavy 177 hold better accuracy past 40m than QYS..I have only switched to QYS due to the unacceptable level of skirt damage in every tin of jsb I’ve bought recently.. another good pellet I’ve found at all ranges is H&N hunter extreme.. may buy some more of them again for longer shots 👍
I've recently got into this hobby and as always I brought something high end for myself (vixen long)... is it true that everytime you swap pellets you should do a barrel clean and if so am I ok doing it with cotton pellets
Nice bit of kit the vixen.. If I'm testing batches of the same brand of pellet then I won't clean the barrel between them, unless I notice any weird behaviour or terrible groups. It's good practice to give the barrel a clean(I carefully use a pull through) before starting on testing.just so you know how long it takes for a pellet to lead the barrel in. If like I have been of late, swapping between pellets and slugs I'll definitely clean the barrel between. But once I'm settled on a pellet,I usually won't clean it until I notice the groups opening up. You would be wise to keep a rough note of how many pellets you've actually ran through it.you may start to notice trends.maybe it will want cleaning every tin, maybe never but you would be wise to pay attention to any group changes and keep an eye on barrel cleanliness. Every barrel performs differently and it'll take some time to learn what your particular setup responds best too.😉
Interesting... But what would have been even more interesting would be to have a way to know wich one we have on hand {Measurements} _[Kenadian suppliers are not great at labeling tins... You are lucky if you know wich lot or headsize it is sometimes.]_
Have a nose at the orange sticker on the back of the tin.it has the batch code, die number and date on,so you can then, once you've found a good lot buy more.. There's loads of vids on yt of how to identify the batches 😉
@@tillysgunstocks the problem is .. I got batches that doesn't have the stickers on the back at all and some do... _Id guess they send boxes of 10 tins and only mark this box with the lot number._
it is totally unclear to me. how we can tell from the sticker on the tin which pellets we are dealing with. I can't find anything that says short or normal jsb exact. Maybe you guys can help me thnx.
@@tillysgunstocks hahaha that's kinda sad. that 1 of the larger pellet manufacturers in Europe does not bother to put a sticker on their boxes so that we as consumers know what we are buying. I have checked a large number of batches and there is indeed a difference in length between them. without a big white sticker haha. thanks for your reply . I learned something again today 😀 😉
Not dissimilar to ely wasp i know that they are poo pood compared to today's pellets but they shoot very well in some guns and are very fast and were the best we could get way back in the seventies
Outstanding shipmate. Press on. USS Kitty Hawk CV-63 Jan 1980 to July 1983. Air gunner for life.
I use the .30 cal JSB Exact pellets in my FX Boss, great pellets.

Where do you get them from?
Another great video.. Really enjoy watching these .. looking forward to some nice warm still days to come
Now we're talking Andy.. I cannot wait, I absolutely hate the winter.
I've been using these for a few years now for field Target and I don't plan changing back to standard ones
Another interesting video, always look forward to watching your posts.
Thanks for watching them mate 😉
There's quite alot of chunky skirts where I live, however I'm no going to try them out.
😂😂

Some reason jsb exact jumbo express comes to mind. Like to try jsb exact short but can't find it anywhere.
QYS pellets begin to spread out at around 35 to 40 yards which is no good for HFT.
Those JSB Exact shorts look pretty much the same as BSA Goldstar @ same weight.
Pretty sure BSA gold stars are made by h&n

The .177 falcons are a bit lighter than I tend to use, ive got loads here mind and the jsb rs/express and Webley mosquitos, but seldom use them nowdays
Can I ask what do you use to clean your vixen barrel, and any other things you recommend for it... I have the vixen long
@@cater4anytink45 napier pull through kit is the only thing I use mate , 3 to 4 times until the towels are clean 👍
Why not switch to QYS ? Practically zero damaged pellets and spot on accuracy
I second that Kevin..........QYS ate superb.
I use the streamline heavies in the katran when using the mags. But in single shot my old batches of jsb do marginally out perform them though.

Good pellets...my Daystate just doesn't like them.
Good to see the goat again, as said try the QYS pellets
I run the qys streamlined heavies through the katran mate. I've a few decent tests on the various qys on the channel here 😉

Me, I use 35grn Zan .25 slugs in FX FAC rated at 65fp @1050fps, all you will ever need.

The white paper sticker on the back of the tin is the only obvious external difference to the tins 😉

Love the vid, very interesting. Like you say I,ve never heard of them. How can I get some of these to try ?

Tried to buy some when they 1st came out, never found any???
They aren't too easy to find in the uk, these ones came from germany😉
Scope cam PIP footage defenitely will improve your video... 👍
Agreed. I'm working on a solution that doesn't interfere with the shooting too much. 😉
Do they do the same with .22
всё ок,но очень много лишней болтовни!!!!
Try Apogee they're very good.
