I play warrior priest now but in vermintide 1 I would hog saltzpyre all the time when i played with my friends and every now and again I'm drawn back to my roots
I like how he actually points out that things aren't free and bad things just happen, but part of winning is trying and failing until you succeed even if it is luck. Often times in the media things are portrayed as "if you work hard you'll get it" or "I was simply good" but almost always it isn't so easy or simple at all.
I love how all Bentinck does is put a lot of nasal affect to his voice and sound all snarky when he's performing as Saltzpyre. Goes to show how much acting is in Voice Acting, eh? Also, damn does his natural voice really fit Saltzpyre.
Problem is that VA is a very gated community, you'll hear the same person for like 30 different characters, and theres probably like 40 something VA's all getting jobs. Dunno why, but its more endearing hearing Saltspyres VA saying to keep perservering, and break that gate down. The acting may be simplistic but the delivery is argueably the best of the whole cast, and theyre all great
@@MrNuclearturtle See that's the thing, yeah? Some would stand above the rest. But it's not like that's really their intention. It's just that it kinda happens cos they really are giving it their all in terms of performance. In Bentinck's case, it's not about whether he's trying to be better or not, it just is. His passion just happens to be burning hotter than his colleagues'.
@@PunishedVenomDrake True, and I appreciate that he dooesnt shy away from the one thing that makes everything all fall into place...Luck, because you'll need it, could be happen stance or a random opportunity or just bumping into the right person, be it love, friendship or a job opportunity, it all happens because it was the right time with the right circumstances.
Also I imagine that VA's real voice would be saltzpyre finally letting his guard down the night before the final fight of his life, by a fire with his companions reminiscing about his life, like his whole persona is front for his convictions, demons and personality, and stripped back this is him at peace.
I just love Tim Bentinck as a person. I had the pleasure to have him read a short letter for a friend of mine with the voice of Saltzpyre, and he didn't even ask for money, he just asked me to donate to charity. This man is a true gentleman.
Similar to the "Message to Nolan" video, here's another animation of a Tim Bentinck personalized message. Fingers crossed Liam makes it in the industry Music used: Vermintide 2 Keep music at 24:20 ua-cam.com/video/gRyNMw456ak/v-deo.html
Got a brother who's trying to get into acting. It's hard. Just me watching him and his friends, credit to them. It's Fucking painful to put your heart and sole into audition after audition and then get that rejection. But he's right. Never give up. Ever.
even though i dont play him, victor is genuinely the most loveable character in the game imo. hes just got so much character and personality and everything he says is un-ironically hilarious and he has the perfect voice actor. Vermintide wouldnt be the same without him
God, that's so sweet. And it's generally true for a lot of things; you need to believe in yourself always, because there'll be times where you're the only one that does. Best of luck to you Liam, and thank you for the kind words Tim.
That was really motivational and sincere. You can tell Tim (ahem, I mean Saltzpyre) really thought about what would be useful to know as well as what would be nice to hear. What a lovable guy.
I don't know, but I feel that of all the authors behind the dubbing of the Ubersreik 5, Tim Bentinck is the only one who sticks in the most appropriate way to Saltzpyre's expressions and vocalization. (A job well done to tell the truth)
One of my favourite voice actors to date, along with Simon Templeman - the voice of Kain from the titular franchise - and Patrick Seitz whom I enjoy for his more guttural performances and monster noises, just to name a few. Hope to hear Mr. Bentinck in more video games in the future.
Ive heard someone once say that the road to vecoming a successful artist/actor is sort of like playing the lottery. It all depends on being in the right place at the right time
In a game filled with beastmen, Tim still manages to be the fucking GOAT.
Das what I’m sayinnn
That's a good one
Bro, Tim is the reason why people fight to play as Saltzpyre. The dude is amazing.
Indeed.
That and just the utter satisfaction of the rapier and pistol weapon are my two reasons to main Saltzpyre.

I’m more of a billhook and axe/falchion enjoyer myself, but I always run the brace of pistols
@@cthulwho9125 it is always satisfying to embody the sassiness of rapier and pistol.

Yup. I always appreciate the people who are realistic about these things when they talk about them.

I hope he makes it in as well
It's amazing you can still hear a little bit of Victor in his normal voice. Man's talented.

Probably the best wisdom he could pass on to another man. What a gentlemen
It seems Tim (and Victor) speak nothing but truth. Indeed, Sigmar guides them.
I hope you're proud of your animation skills, because you have some shining talent there. Thank you so much for sharing this wholesomeness with us!

Almost made me cry. Well done.
Stuff like this makes me want to main salt so much more
He’s the GOAT of the squad, then Markus, Bardin, Sienna and elf.
It would be great to have an uncle like that while growing up...😢
pretty solid advice, specially the bit about rejection.
I aint no actor but i love this motivational speak from him. Its great.
Great piece of advise and applies to a lot even outside of acting.
As someone whos looking into the field as well, these are words i definitely needed to hear
Even if i dont want to be an actor but it do feel good to have that kind of talk....
Yes Liam go out there and beast it up. FOR SIGMAR
As someone trying to get my acting and voice acting career off the ground... man this is a godsend. I'm faving this video, fuck it.
dude is such a treasure. ive been thinking about getting a saltzpyre poster for my room so he can look over me in my darker moments
