From a cannibal to a candy man. Timothee has such range. He was great as Wonka. Great movie
Not really. He only really plays naive characters with innocent hearts. But maybe Dune 2 will change that
Yup, great job at Wonka and dune and bones and all. The version of Wonka is full of pure imagination.and as he said in the interview, this version of Willie Wonka is positive,energetic ,innocent and at the same time a bit naive, but also make you feel like you can dream and realize your dream. That is the character , He has acted and delivered this image well.

Using the name Wonka + the Pure Imagination song naturally have people expecting some logical connections to the character's lore as established onscreen already. Otherwise just call it a different name.@@Norreil
Imagine if CMBYN is remade, but Elio is now a different personality and crestfallen over an older woman who abandons him after an affair after all. Would you like that new "version", or think CMBYN/Elio were used for branding?@@Norreil
This was the most in-depth interview with him I've ever watched. Timothée is brilliant and seems to be very grateful for all the opportunities he is having in his career. Truly a rare talent, I can't wait to watch ''Wonka''.
He certainly knows the right things to say. Whether it is all genuine is hard to say. You don’t bash your boss or your peers in front of a camera.
You should check out the happy sad confused podcast if you haven’t. It’s the same interviewer: Josh Horowitz. I think that is the most open and honest I’ve heard him be about himself as an artist.

This was a great chat, albeit shorter. Timmy is continuing to do great work. Love to see him growing into his career. And what now???? He has unreleased Dylan tracks?? I'm taking notes.
I love this interview so much! He seems really comfortable to share and I love getting to know the updates of his upcoming projects. As a fan of Timmy since CMBYN, it’s been really nice to see the growth of his career - he just keeps on soaring to greater heights! I wish that he’ll be working with more talented filmmakers in the future and maybe be nominated again and win at the prestigious award shows.

This makes me sad…only because I now know that it’s very probable that I sat one seat away from Timmy on the Metropolitan line a few years ago. I wasn’t 💯 sure it was him at the time and I was too scared and embarrassed to ask 😭😳 My 2024 goal is to make more of a fool of myself😅
Beautiful Boy was the first one of Timothée’s movies I watched. I cried while watching it in the cinema. It was such a raw and touching performance, by both Timothée and Steve Carell. I was still thinking about (and getting over) the movie months later👏 🙇♀️ 👌

one thing i’d say is, though i love both but i don’t think we should be putting austin up there with timothee as if its a major showdown 😅 i dont mind it and both are talented! but it feels a bit much despite elvis being great when you look at their careers side by side. so josh hyping that specific dune duo to that extent made me pause a bit ngl 😭 although it’s an amazing set of actors nonetheless! and it is indeed exciting to see them plus the rest go head to head and to witness their gen of top tier actors become good friends during their primes is super exciting and wholesome to see. the film world right now is thriving imho.
i’d like to see timmy in that new tarantino film if it is his last (among other actors of his generation too possibly, zendaya, flo, austin, paul, tom holland, saorise, tayruss, lily rose, jacob elordi etc) too. or to see timmy work with jordan peele or martin again

I love how the interviewer was all like shocked to hear that Momoa will be returning to the Dune films; like he had suddenly gotten Timothee to spill some massive spoiler.😂 I’m like “read a book, man!” and then Chalamet saying “spoiler? The books have been out for 70 years!” 😆🤣😆 Duncan Idaho is the only character present in ALL the books. If they make all six Frank Herbert books (and the two concluding Brian Herbert ones) into movies, Jason Momoa is gonna be a very busy guy.

I totally agreed with him when he said it's not a hardcore musical, it's more like a movie with songs. Because that's how the original movie was you didn't think of it as a musical, you thought of it as a fantasy movie with a few Willie iconic songs and that's how this one is.

Tim is such a good versatile actor and so multitalented. He did a great job with Wonka and the film was great and very well thought out. Kudos to the director and writers. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was a movie with songs. Wonka was a flat-out musical. I wasn't expecting that but it worked because the story didn't get lost along the way. The only way Wonka could have been any better is if Jeremy Allen White got the role of Wonka. Not because he can act better than Tim but because Jeremy looks exactly like a young Gene Wilder.
