I absolutely love Ali‘s interviews. He really cares about movies and asks interesting questions that seem to be different from the rest of the interviews. Actors always seem to be very comfortable in conversation with him, this interview is no exception!
I’ve seen people say that he’s changed (in a bad way) and has “gone Hollywood”, but this press tour is showing that he’s still the same down to earth, slightly awkward, loveable guy that he was 5 years ago 😂
yeah I think obviously he will change (as is nature), but he seems to have the same core personality and values. but ofc he won't be the same wide eyed baby forever.
People will always change its a part of growing up. Plus plus people shouldn't be mad about him taking opportunities. People always will have something to say. 😂
yeah lol im happy to see he still seems humble and himself. hollywood is soooooooo evil. idk how he does it. its the biggest test of character i think, to become that rich and famous. idk why i care but i hope he never goes down the road many actors do.
It's is so lovely to see, that whenever Timmy is with the right counterpart, he is all himself. Yes, he became more mature, he's surely less naive but if he feels comfortable with someone, he totally opens up, is full of joy and excitement like he was in his first interviews. Hollywood will never spoil him!
This is definitely one of my new favorite Timmy interviews! He feels so much more confident and relaxed. I love his film knowledge. Ali is a phenomenal interviewer!
This new Wonka guy is amazing, I’ve been traumatized from the other 2 Wonka movies as a kid….this movie is so much different! I don’t feel scared of him at all….if it wasn’t for him playing the part….id probably still be traumatized
The look on Tim’s face with the little smirk at 10:31!!🤭 I love how he wants to keep it on the DL and the guy says there’s no cameras around when there is one looking right at Tim!🤣💀
I just saw the movie, Timothee was really wonderful in the role. I'm defintely buying the soundtrack once it comes out. Who knows Timothee can perform at the Oscars lol
Wonka was absolutely phenomenal! The story, music, songs, cinematography, beautiful colorful sets, everything was top notch. Perfectly captured the magic of the Roald Dahl books. Timothée Chalamet stole the show as Willy Wonka. One of the best feel good movies I have seen in a long time. 🍫👏👏👏
It seems like Timmy has come into his own more recently, especially evident in this interview - a bit less awkward and more comfortable, with the conversation flowing effortlessly. You can really see it in his body language. Must be the Ali Plumb effect!
Met Tim in NY a year ago, can confirm hes just a dude. My brother lives in LA, I visit him a lot, the "start struck" thing wore off real quick. Tim is someone who vastly prefers being viewed as a guy who is well-known for his trade. We mostly just talked about the best spots for coffee. Really chill dude.
Une conversation agréable et une merveilleuse interview que j'espérais ne jamais finir. Timothy est talentueux, distingué, réussi, humble et plein de moralité. ❤❤
9:59 one thing I love about this suit is that it feels the most like the original illustration particularly the coat. Which is the second most important thing when adaptating Dahl's work which is the costumes...The other two being sets and costumes. I honestly cannot wait to see this when it comes out in the US a week from today because the suspense is terrible I hope it last.
The size of the air bubbles, the consistency, sweetness etc of chocolate are actually different in certain markets - Canadian is different than American, American is different than UK, etc.
In Gene Wilder's most recent book, he talked about the cane... and he said that they had placed a couple fake bricks made up of styrofoam in the sidewalk to hold the cane up. It was a brilliant technique.
They took the brick out and created a new brick out of clay, so no matter where he stuck it in, it would stay...and it's easy to pull it back out! Low tech, but it works, and after all, it was 1971!
he's the first person I've heard his age admit they like raisinets. hell, he's the first person I've literally ever heard even mention them. that's like saying you love good n plentys. fully not watching that movie now.
I must admit this made me less close minded towards this movie. I had no idea Paul King was directing. As much as I still think they’re just trying to make money. There also seems to be a lot of passion behind it. Zero chance of topping either previous film but it might be fun.

Arguably the best Wonka interview and most natural I’ve seen of the whole press tour
A MILLION PERCENT. and hes genuinely a one of a kind actor
I love how passionate and enthusiastic Chalamet is when he talks about movies. He really cares about them, it's not just mindless movie promotion.

totally agree

nothing wrong with changing. he’s still gone hollywood though
Kylie jenner will take him to the dark side

What a lovely and Humble young man he became. He is just so good and talented person.
This new Wonka guy is amazing, I’ve been traumatized from the other 2 Wonka movies as a kid….this movie is so much different! I don’t feel scared of him at all….if it wasn’t for him playing the part….id probably still be traumatized
I like him, he is one of the best young actors in Hollywood.
Sure, princess lol
Whoever edited this video deserves an award. Such a beautifully put-together production ❤
He was incredible as Willy wonka, the movie was a joy to watch.
He made the role so wonderful and magical!!! Love timothee
It’s always a good day when Arrested Development gets referenced
100%
I still couldn't believe he sings so beautifully
He used autotune tho
Love this interview, it flowed really nicely. Timothée is such a humble actor, I'm going to see Wonka this weekend and I know I'll love it.
The look on Tim’s face with the little smirk at 10:31!!🤭 I love how he wants to keep it on the DL and the guy says there’s no cameras around when there is one looking right at Tim!🤣💀
I saw Wonka today. Timmy is so amazing🍫🍭🎉🤎 Such a great talent. I haven't seen an actor so versatile since young Johnny Depp!💙
Saw it tonight and dare I say Gene Wilder would have left the theater with a smile on his face.
Gene rolling over his grave@@natashaharsh9793
It was truly enchanting. I saw it on a whim and I'm glad I did
0:30 Thirty seconds in and omg what a crossover!
he is the hottest actor in Hollywood rightnow yet still so humble
Are you 13? 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
SO REAL AND TRUE
I just saw the movie, Timothee was really wonderful in the role. I'm defintely buying the soundtrack once it comes out. Who knows Timothee can perform at the Oscars lol
I saw the film today and absolutely concur. The songs are very good and Timmy has a lovely voice. Superb film 🎉🎉🎉
Ali's interviews are always great but this Tim / Ali combo was really special. Great!

In my mind, he's Tim Tam Ticketyboo! 😂 He scored himself a Golden Globe nomination! ❤❤❤
1:21 I love his eyebrows
Timmy is a true star: friendly, charming and sweet! I can't wait to check out this new film. This interview was incredible
It seems like Timmy has come into his own more recently, especially evident in this interview - a bit less awkward and more comfortable, with the conversation flowing effortlessly. You can really see it in his body language. Must be the Ali Plumb effect!
Wonka was an awesome movie he killed it and especially the songs so glad of how far this franchise has come in 52 years ❤
Love his performances , so much passion always
Ali is the best interviewer and I have been so excited for this!
So Precious ❤
not ari's "sweetner" at 7:31 😂 love this interview. well done!
The song choices in the background 😂 perfection👌

The wonka portrayed in this movie was phenomenal
❤ I saw Wonka yesterday. I'm gonna see it for the 2nd time
Same, i was pleasantly surprised how much i enjoyed it. I'm eager to buy the soundtrack
Une conversation agréable et une merveilleuse interview que j'espérais ne jamais finir. Timothy est talentueux, distingué, réussi, humble et plein de moralité. ❤❤
He actually really does look like a young Gene Wilder ( first Wonka actor)
Really looking forward to seeing Tom Davis in this!
Such a lovely and humble young man, and such a talented actor! Adorable, too!! ❤️❤️❤️
It’s sad that Timothee couldn’t master the Australian accent but the Troye Sivan impression was interesting. He can be my sleep demon anytime
I watched the recent Sal episode that he hosted and the Troye Sivan skit wasn’t in there.
@@kellycreates3310 Interesting
probably because the production in snl is so rushed with so many skits to prepare for, he would not have had time to perfect it
I love how they were playing Sweetener by Ariana Grande in the background! It's so fitting!
loveee him

Definitely a movie everyone needs to watch in theaters 🫶🏼
He’s so fine bruh, and he’s funny and well spoken
Timothy i love you so much ❤
The size of the air bubbles, the consistency, sweetness etc of chocolate are actually different in certain markets - Canadian is different than American, American is different than UK, etc.
I love Timmy. But I actually clicked on this for the interviewer. He’s my fave
I’m seeing it tomorrow ❤
Whoever marries Timothee Chamalet will be extremely lucky
Good questions! Well prepared!
I love Hersheys forever
Many thanks to Ali and Timothée! 🍭
I was surprised how great Wonka was🍫

He’s gonna be such fun as Willy Wonka in Wonka!
That tumble in the original Wonka was Gene’s idea actually. He talks about it a lot in interviews. They almost didn’t do it.
He is sooooooooooooooooooo FINE
Another in a long line of Brilliant interviews, from an American’s humble opinion.
Wonaka is the no. 11 film of the world grossing film in 2023
Wonka is now #7 film for 2023 movies ($629 millions)
Coming to this video IMMEDIATELY after watching Timothee’s Dune: Part 2 interview with BBC, and hearing “Paul is paddington” was SO confusing
Love the interview.
great interview
fantastic interview and interviewer!!!
i want him in hot ones so baddddddd maybe next year
10:36 SO CUTEEE
"I hate to speak in film critic terms" he says, while speaking to a film critic 😆
I wish it was out this week before rebel moon
Merry Christmas 🎅
I want Timothee to play Doctor Who. I know he's probably too famous, and expensive, for that but he would be awesome.
PLEASE PLEAS PLEASE
