  • Hey everyone! Welcome back, and thank you for stopping by my video. In this video, I share with you all my relaxed (I'm texlaxed - my hair is isn't processed bone straight which allows my hair to still have texture) night/morning hair care routine that I've been doing for years when I was relaxed and natural. I love a super easy HEAT free (I air dried my hair on wash days) low maintenance style, especially in the morning. Any hair type can achieve this style with just a little prep before bed.

    • @moniquew3603
      @moniquew3603 4 роки тому +7

      @@ennvee1989 It honestly varies, sometimes I blow dry weekly ( heat protectant used) or sometimes every two weeks. It depends on how my hair looks, feels, and smells. I would prepoo, shampoo, deep condition, apply leave-in and heat protectant, and blow dry with my Revlon brush hair dryer. After I blow dry I apply oil to my hair. Haven't had any heat damage since I started this new process, AND I find my hair is retaining more length. Like Megz did I oiled my hair everyday when I first started blow drying, but now I do it every couple days.

    I think I want to become a blow dried natural. I don’t exactly want to commit to a relaxer but I think I can still maintain healthy hair with blown out hair. It’s much more manageable and time saving. I have 4c hair and don’t get me wrong I love it but I think I may be able to pass my length plateau by going this route.

    I’m natural &found this sooooo much more helpful than other girls I’ve watched. Im not afraid to put heat on my hair, but most YT girls say “ I keep my hair straight for a MONTH, but the key is to NOT add product unless it’s a weightless oil and dry shampoo”.....I think they be lying cause after 4 days my scalp is crying for moisture and I think this will be my cure when my hair is straight.

    That’s it! You did it!! I’m about to get a texturizer and call it a day! 😩 I’ve been trying to be natural for like 13 years now! 😫 & have NEVER figured it out. Now I have always been busy in school, etc and having crazy hours so my hair STAYED in a puff ball, out, not detangled, and split end CENTRAL! LOTS of growth, but NO retention and scissors stayed in my hair because I have nice hair and know I can rock a short cut so when I get frustrated I just chop. I’m talking hair would get to shoulder length in 3 months and I would just cut it again 🤦🏽‍♀️ I have Never had my hair past armpit length ever in my life, and even then it really needed a trim lol. I have never seen bra-strap length on me. I wanna do it.. I don’t have the patience for natural hair and I’ve been fighting with this for too long. My scare is that I DO NOT like bone straight hair and my hair takes to relaxers very quickly and clearly there is no going back so keeping it on even a few seconds too long will make me not like my hair and cut again. I’m so scared of making it too straight though 😩
    Anyway, loving seeing you back to relaxers. This is obviously the comfort zone that we all know you in. & I’m going to give myself a try of being consistent and having a regimen. I know just 4 years overall will transform my hair. ❤️

    Loveee when you were natural but I missed your relaxed videos as you were one of my UA-cam mentors during my healthy relaxed hair care journey and then I finally gave in to going natural. Something I wanted to do for years but loved my relaxed hair protective styles. Now I’m a year completely natural as of February 14 and I’m still consistently watching your videos. Lol P.S. Maybe try putting your hair away in a protective style and plan for a way to make it easier to manage. I’ve thought about going back to the creamy crack as well though lol. You’re definitely not alone. You can always go back. Just use Vaseline on your whole scalp and wash it out if it starts to burn. You’d rather it be a little bit more kinky than not there at all. Trust me. My mom has to deal with pretty bad balding because she ignored the burning. It’s been a few years now and we’re finally seeing some improvements. Anyways, as long as you’re careful you can always go back or not 🤷🏾‍♀️

    Your hair is gorgeous. But I'm going to say it, my old relaxed hair could never! My hair is easily damaged by being super duper extra fine and high porosity dryness. Stylists and myself have to be highly skilled and highly aware of my hair needs. Wrong relaxer :My hair breaks. Wrong relaxer application method: my hair breaks. No protein: my hair breaks. High to medium heat: my hair breaks. The majority of stylists I've been to with my relaxed hair never could improve the health. In fact it was a white female stylist with short pink straight hair that told me I needed a daily protein leave in spray! Lol!

    I dont get it..when I was relaxed my hair was long(naturally had long hair before it) but it didn't break off as much as it has being natural. My hair is thicker and I love my fro but it isn't back to my original length ..i have cut my hair 5 times so that would explain part of the reason but when things changed for me and my motivation was gone and being natural takes work compared to just moisturizing slick hair...my hair just damages easy in it's kinky state..even after moisturizing and detangling. My hair acts as if it dislikes any product..it doesn't like my old products that worked wonders so now I'm left with working with my hair
