For people without oras,skill swap can be found at the battle tree and exeggcute with harvest at Exeggutor Island,the reason for this comment is that alot of people i know struggle with this.

Sure, but that's another advantage of false swipe, you can just keep using it. It has a PP of 40 so it's up there
@@cameronschmit6472 False swipe is fine but you can just use an item that won't actually apply to anything. For example use a revive when you have no fainted pokemon. It will consume your turn but not the item if it doesn't actually do what it's supposed to. Pretty sure adrenaline orb effects do not stack.
WoWisdeadtome that correct, it will take your turn and say, “it had no effect” and the orb will go back to your bag

Hey aDrive the thing people were talking about with SOS Method is if you don't use an adrenaline orb, now only 1 Pokemon will be called in and no more. but if you use an adrenaline orb it will keep calling in Pokemon

EDIT: I'm not hunting for the hidden abillity one and how many potions do I need to have
I'm a year late, but you don't have to use harvst when not looking for a hidden abilty. You don't actually nned haevest it just helps. For potions, to be safe I would say around 20-40 hyper potions depending on the level of your pokemon and the pokemon you are fighting against

The real key for Leppa berries is getting a pokemon with trace (like gardevoir), give it a Leppa berry, then it will harvest a Leppa berry as well.
My Gardevoir has Substitute like Dan says, then double team and calm mind just to reduce damage to the sub, and then it has draining kiss so it has sustainable health and it's boosted by calm mind.

You can also use a Smeargle to sos shiny hunt. This is for new players or anyone who just wants to know
Held Item: Leppa Berry
False Swipe: good good
Super effective attack: makes calling easier
Recycle: you can recycle your own leppa berry
Recover/Thunder wave/ Spore/Subs/Anything you want: depends on what you hunt
So you can use the Harvest Trevenant/Exeggutor then go to Smeargle then go from there. Only problem is the struggle for the Smeargle and no intimidate but you just never worry about using lots of restoring items and you literally just stay there forever.
For anyone who may be wondering how to get bestow on exeggutor, you cannot (at least when I checked) teach it bestow via a move tutor, nor through finding a TM with it. However, exeggcute can learn it at level 50 through levelling up, and I’m not sure as of yet whether this applies to exeggutor as well although according to Pokemon Database it does not learn bestow via level up, so in conclusion DO NOT evolve your EXEGGCUTE until you have reached level 50 and taught it this move. Hope this helped anyone wondering why you cannot find bestow at any move tutor :)
Also in addition, in case you don’t want to breed another exeggcute you could instead use a different Pokémon that learns bestow (I have a greninja that knows it via level up) to give the Pokemon a berry :)

A tip for new players experimenting with berries. The (arguablely) best berries are:
1. Leppa berries (essentially free ethers)
2. Sitrus berries (essentially free potions/super potions)
3. Lum berries (Free full Heals)

@aDrive You forgot to mention that the Adrenaline Orb here makes a Pokemon call for help more than once and doesn't increase the call chance rate, whereas without an Adrenaline Orb a Pokemon can only call once before you must kill it. :D

How did his Alolan Exeggutor come from the Kalos region? I know about Pokemon bank, but his _Alolan_ Exeggutor said "seems to have traveled across pace and time to reach you from the Kalos region". You can't get Alolan Exeggutor in X and Y.. hacks?
All Pikachu, Exeggcute, and Cubone that evolve in Sun and Moon turn Alolan, even if they were transferred.
realDonaldTrump no matter what.. The Pokémon always change into the alolan form.. So if I traded a Kanto or jhoto execute and evolved it.. it would become a alolan executor.. It’s simple yet confusing
1: Execute skill swap and trick/bestow, give leppa
2 false swipe pokemon
Use skill swap as soon as it starts, bestow the leppa berry to other pokemon with the harvest berry

Quick thing that some people might overlook...
Skill Swap will always fail if it is used on a Pokemon with one of the following abilities:
Wonder Guard, Multitype, Illusion, Stance Change, Schooling, Comatose, Shields Down, Disguise, RKS System, Battle Bond, and Power Construct.
For example, i just tried hunting for a shiny Zorua in Ultra Sun. Since the only ability that a wild Zorua can have is Illusion, Skill Swap will always fail, which i completely glossed over.
Ever since then, i restarted my game, and started hunting for a shiny Litten yesterday. With 71 attempts across the 1-2 days i am hunting for it, i'm losing hope that i'll get this shiny and i'll have to play the game. Wish me good luck?

Another good method. I'm sure you have probably mentioned it before but I will say it again for anyone that is trying this these days. Turn the move/attack animations off in settings as this saves a bit of time and if you are doing hundreds of encounters this time could add up to a few minutes total. It will just speed up the process.

You missed one slight thing. After encounter 255 the chain is reset back to 1. I.e. after 255 you won't receive almost perfect IVs until you hit 285. Same with shiny at 325.

If you get a chain of 70 or higher, your chance for a shiny is as high as it could be.

This is so incredible to me... While I was trying to find an exeggcute/exeggutor with harvest, I encountered a shiny exeggcute (1st help call from a normal exeggcute)! It doesn't have Harvest but now I am sure this method works for real! XD
