Kyle Winconek but it makes ya feel better knowing we got air superiority to help take it out an we got our artillery that's not getting harmed that much cause of the German air cover mostly gone an also we got more tanks then the king tiger tank an we got better working tanks. The British Comet could outrun this thing an could penetrate it's armor with its APDS rounds... an the M4 Sherman could overwhelm it.

The only tank that can beat it is itself. A bunch of dead weight was too much on the Maybach engine that if the tank tried to climb a small hill it would destory the engine. Nevertheless the Tiger 2 is a fantastic beast when it worked.
The Tiger II was addressed as the Königstiger in many official propaganda videos, if we were to call them by detail, addressing it as the Tiger II would also be incorrect.
Wondering how strong the Tiger 2 would be if fitted with trophy system, reactive plates and a modern gun.... It looks simply so much more imposing/resistant than our current Leopard 2 Abrams and T90...
It looks so massive because only way to get more protection back then was to add more steel. If you built something as resilient as an Abrams turret just from steel, you'd be looking at armor thickness similar to a battleship... Basically a modern MBT has better protection and firepower than what was planned for the Maus, with mobility better than a WW2 armored scout car.
Late comment but the tiger 2 wouldn't last a minute even if receiving modern equipment. Because especially compared to an abrams or leopard, the tiger 2 is both huge and slow, making it a very easy target compared to said modern mbts who at least got mobility
Lino Mahlke but not a very good working baby. Cool in terms of appearance but it's got way too many problems and the German tanks of today, the Leopard series is way better.

Yup! Those Russian men were some brave SOBs!!!
Sean Mager yea the Germans tank crews would always comment on how it always seemed like there were always an endless supply of Sherman tanks coming at em, they would take out a few but then there would be 15 more coming at them lmao
Smacks roof : Yep...this baby is ready to Blitzkrieg.
Still impressive 76 years later
When you're trying to start up your king tiger but then you remember there's no more gas.
What a beautiful machine, crazy that this was built before my grandfather was born.
0:50 im crying in tears
So beautiful baby
Ofcourse you're crying in tears, you'd think you can cry in bloods?
@@Komyeta can't you?
*OMG!* 😲
_This must be what it sounds like to tickle a tiger 🐅 right when it’s about to sneeze and has to fart at __0:46__!_
That crisply profound *CRACKLE* at startup and subsequent roar from the exhaust there after is enough to scare a man to death!
That had of been one of the most terrifying sounds if you are in a forest and all the sudden you hear one of those moving towards you.
The best tank in the world at the time, opposition was nothing compared to this beast, now its just a historical relic
The only tank that can beat it is itself. A bunch of dead weight was too much on the Maybach engine that if the tank tried to climb a small hill it would destory the engine. Nevertheless the Tiger 2 is a fantastic beast when it worked.
@@DanDJ85742 well said
Makes me have a better appreciation for the M1A1 Abrams I spent so many years in. If nothing else it was much easier to start than this thing.
Easier to stop than this thing too.

Don't be ridiculous.
It came from the factory already broken.

Tank commander: "Ok! Lets start the engine!"
Tank gunner: Squeak, squeak, squeak...
Starting this at 4am to leave for work, I bet my neighbours would be as happy as I'd be.
Thought it was a ripcord from the thumbnail. ... Was not even remotely disappointed.
Sounds like you're starting drag racing car, very scary but awesome.
The Tiger II is such a beautiful looking machine. Thanks for the video, despite the use of "king tiger" lol.
Or addressing this machine as KonigStiger
The Tiger II was addressed as the Königstiger in many official propaganda videos, if we were to call them by detail, addressing it as the Tiger II would also be incorrect.
It's been 76 years comrade
Couldn't believe!
0:44 lots of people would have been eagerly watching and recording , the experience was slightly marred by the hairy ass crack , thanks mate .
Wondering how strong the Tiger 2 would be if fitted with trophy system, reactive plates and a modern gun.... It looks simply so much more imposing/resistant than our current Leopard 2 Abrams and T90...
It might look, but in terms of performance it would be nearly useless.
Tsukushi Ikeda it was useless back than and it is even more useless today, even with modern uogrades
Not effective today buddy.
This is a German Baby🇩🇪❤
Lino Mahlke but not a very good working baby. Cool in terms of appearance but it's got way too many problems and the German tanks of today, the Leopard series is way better.
@@seanmager1168 wow facepalm
Sean Mager If course it would be,Without these tanks,The good tanks wouldn’t even be invented
German are fathers of modern warfare
Jza Gza no modern MBT took real influences from the two Tigers.

0:46 I like the sound it made when it roared to life.
"Clicky-clicky-clicky-clonk-clonk-clickclick *BOOM.* rrrrrrr..."
I have this engine sound as my alarm clock.
Nothing like a V-12 Maybach HL 230 P30 roaring to life to get you up in the morning!
Seeing the king tiger go up a slight incline
Me:wait that's illegal
Very good video. Sounds motor🔥🔥🔥👍

Parents: fight back

Grand parents:
That sound must of been terrifying in the war.
Not only the sound, I was there this year the whole ground vibrates like an earth quake when the tiger goes on. You can feel the vibrations in your whole body
That movie, saving private ryan, in the ending, when the tanks are coming, it always give me goosebumps...
Not as terrifying as American artillery was to the Panzers... The American approach to artillery was 'too much artillery? IMPOSSIBLE!'.
the "Stalin Orgel" was much more demoralizing to the germans then any american :P, btw the americans demoralaze with there tons of bombs
German engineering at its finest. But I still love tiger more than any tank in the history,
I don't know why you should make your assumptions.
I have a special place in my heart for the Stug III cause my ancestors fought in Finland in ww2 in a volunteer Wehrmacht unit. The Finnish Stug 3's took out many bigger soviet tanks, but it was probably thanks to the Finnish soldiers themselves cause they managed to take out soviet vehicles with Molotoff cocktails
But yeah engineering wise the Tigers are hard to beat. All the German big cats are great tanks
Perfect recording
Where is this tank kept and how many Tigers are still in existence? It's long been remarked that these tanks had a unique sound when firing up!
1 and its at saumur in france
Well, the sound of the engine when starting is very true to its name in addition to the design.
When the Sherman sees the tiger “ahh shit here we go again”
I didn't think a wind-up rubber band would provide enough power to drive a tank.
0:41 and that's why I wear work trousers with suspenders. lol
Better engine than some produced today, that says a lot.
That thing is intense. Absolute beast.
Now imagine you're walking through the woods in the snow and all you have is a rifle and you hear that noise coming through the woods and then you hear another and another and another and another and they're all coming towards your area and you know that every single one of them will open fire on you if they see you. Today's generation has no idea what real fear is
Is this really how they started it back then ???
Only for a cold start

Beautiful machine. Beautiful sound. But also terrifying.
25 years after the war it was still listed as a top 5 rank tank of the world ,with no air cover life span was 5 mins after it was spotted .P-51's had 9 hours of fly time they just camp air space and owned air and ground
