Awesome video with great details for those of us planning to travel to Japan! I really appreciate travel vids that don't just turn into drone footage showing "amazing" views that our traveling eyes wont actually see lol.
The reason why everything is 3 and not 4 is because in many Asian cultures, 4 sounds similar to death. That's why in Japan the number 4 is avoided. Buildings does not have level 4 and in some buildings floor levels 40-49 are skipped
@@TheLoversPassport Aghhhhh!!!!! I'm sooo excited to see that you guys replied!! I am such a HUGE FAN!!! I follow all your social medias lol definitely one the BEST travel influencers in the industry!!!
Hi! Wanted to say thank you for making this!! This video has been such a help planning my trip! I was curious how guys got from the Mt. Fuji area to Kyoto (like which station was the easiest to leave from)? Which route did you find worked best for you guys?? Thanks so much!! :)
"Dressed to the tens" is not a thing. "It comes from the numbers that were traditionally allotted to the mediaeval guilds in the City of London. The number allotted to the each guild determined the order in which members of that guild would march in the Lord Mayor’s Procession, an annual procession through the City of London that is still held every year today. The tailors’ guild marched (marches) in position no. 9 in the procession. Obviously, the members of each guild put on their best clothes for the procession, and the tailors’ guild (in position no. 9 in the procession) naturally had the best clothes of them all, hence the phrase - dressed (up) to the nines."
Hi, I enjoyed your video! Question: Which tea ceremony did you book? I would like to see a Geisha show and I saw the Geisha performance in your video. Also, is it okay to film?
I will be traveling to Japan in October and staying for 2 weeks we are staying in Tokyo but want to visit Kyoto and Osaka can we visit these places at a reasonable price without purchasing the JR pass? When do you feel it’s worth it to buy the JR pass?
We think the JR is worth it if you are doing lots of day trips and taking tons of bullet trains in a week. We only took 2 bullet trains so it was not worth it for us.
What was customs and immigration like when landing in Japan? I haven't seen too many people talking about the declaration forms given on flight or in the airport when you land. That's one thing I'm super nervous about. I'm confused on if it's required for all passengers regardless of what they brought with them, or only for those that meet the restricted items listed.
Every person entering the country goes through customs! It was super easy - just fill out a form whether or not you are declaring something, show them your passport and you're on your way! They have lots of people in the airport to help you if you get confused!
@@TheLoversPassport Thank you for the quick reply!! What does it mean to "declare something"? I suppose it just asks you what items you brought inside your carry-on AND your checked luggage?
I'm so let down by the fact that this video is 40 minutes long actually that makes me happy but the fact that you show your face is so much turned me off
I have been watching many travel tip videos for Japan and hands down this is the best one! Thank you!
Thank you so much that means a lot!! 🫶

Do you use debit card for ATM? Would think better than using credit card
Love this!!!
If you think that you will only ride JR trains then it is worth it but we didn't think so!
I'm pretty sure the plane went to the other direction (20:20). 😂 Great video, thanks for the tips!!!
Hahaha thank you 😂😂

It was absolutely a dream 😍😍
Is there any reliable courier that we can send luggage from hotel to airport and store for 2 days before flight?

Did you fly into hineda or narita for airports in Tokyo?
We flew into Narita for the airport!
