    You guys, this is the FIRST makeup tutorial that I have done on the channel! Truthfully, I was scared to add new content because I just wasn't sure if you guys came here for the hair content only. I finally listened to the hundreds of requests and posted it. What do you think? Do you want more makeup tutorials and look ideas? I was really excited to support Symmone Harrison, a young girl in the beauty business! I was also a young girl in beauty not too long ago (okay maybe it was a while ago...hahaha!) Use code Gabi25 for 25% off of all Ennomy’s Beauty Products! Thanks so much Diane! I always keep my looks totally neutral and simple. It is very very rare that I do anything overly bold or expressive simply because I don't feel beautiful when I do that. I use makeup as a form of adornment and self expression and whenever I go too bold, it feels like I am hiding behind it. That was what I did when I was younger and it was a toxic relationship. I am currently editing a video all about that. It will be posted on Friday of this upcoming week :)

    Gabi, thank you for doing this video. 👏🏻🙏🏻 I love how concise it was to show exactly what to do. I’m going to try it for sure! I love the look of winged eyeliner. I have hooded, deep set eyes and have not mastered the technique. I’m really interested in trying out the eyeliner pen to see if that helps. My hand doesn’t always have the steadiness and dexterity it once did. Another UA-camr I watch talked about practicing at the end of her day since she would be taking off her makeup anyway. I thought that was smart. 🧠🧐 I’m going to try it. I am really appreciating the minimalistic look. That color palette of Symone’s is beautiful!!! ❤ I’m so excited to see what you share! I hope you don’t get discouraged by the ones who need to share every thought they have out loud. 😰 You’ve handled yourself gracefully, as usual! 🤗 For some reason, Charlotte Tilbury’s marketing keeps playing through my head: Beautiful Before; Beautiful After. 🥰🤣🤗

    Can I make a suggestion?
    Use a mineral based sunscreen instead of a chemical based sunscreen. Also, the sunscreen should be applied over your moisturizer. Dermaplane is another great way to exfoliate your skin and your skin will look much better

    • @GlamGirlGabi
      @GlamGirlGabi  2 роки тому +2

      Hey! That depends on which type of sunscreen you’re wearing. If you’re using a chemical sunscreen, it should be applied before the moisturizer, since the sunscreen needs to get absorbed into the skin (I wore a chemical sunscreen here). Physical sunscreens, on the other hand, should be applied after your morning skincare products, but before makeup. I actually did derma planing this week!!! I bought the razors at the drugstore and it did an amazing job. Thank you so much for your message and your helpful tips.

    • @jr-pr9lw
      @jr-pr9lw 2 роки тому

      @@GlamGirlGabi The order is always cleanse, moisturizer then sunscreen. Sunscreen is always last whether chemical or mineral doesn't matter. The point of moisturizer is to seal in the water in the skin to avoid TEWL- trans epidermal water loss. You need to seal, then protect -i.e. sunscreen. By applying moisturizer over the sunscreen you are moving the even barrier that you just created leaving possible, invisible to the eye, patches where . There are so many derms on UA-cam that discuss this : Dr. Dray, Dr. Idriss, etc. All this is said with love to protect your gorgeous face!

    • @GlamGirlGabi
      @GlamGirlGabi  2 роки тому

      @@jr-pr9lw Thanks for clarifying! I appreciate you taking the time to comment and let people know. I didn't realize that because I have read several articles that say the opposite (Here is an example: www.ipsy.com/blog/spf-or-moisturizer-first) Regardless of that though, it doesn't matter because I never apply both since my skin isn't dry in any way shape or form. Even a light sunscreen often times feels too heavy for my skin mid day. But I apply it anyway to be safe :)
