    I ride them in 30mm on my Dogma F12. This are the best, most smooth an grippy tires that I ever had!

    I, too, bought a pair of these in 28mm since the GP5000s are still completely unavailable. So far I have around 300 miles on them and I am liking them very much! Although I don't go up the hills any faster, I seem to be passing everyone else on the way down, so it ain't the tires holding me back. :-)

    Ok. I’m switching from gp 5000 to these based on your video. I hold you two responsible for any flats.

    Spot on guys. Tried Shwalbe but they let me down (along with the air every day😀). Had bad experiences with Conti’s in the past, tried the Pirelli TLR and I’m sticking with them

    After 3500 miles and no flats I had to change my rear tire,I've been using Pirelli's for a while a I love them. Had really bad experience with the Conti 5000s and the Schwalbe Pro One and even though they are pricey I get 1500 miles extra compared with the Conti's which wear pretty fast

      interesting how Conti seems to be seen as the gold standard, however once you start digging a bit deeper, I see have been let down by GP5000's (like myself)

    I’m a huge fan of the GP5000, but I’ll give these a try after my current stash of 5000s runs out.

    I just bought P Zero TLR 28mm Speedcore and I'm really dissapointed.
    28mm model measures ~26.5mm on 19mm inner width rim !! (the same was with P Zero Race 28 TLR TechWall)
    whereas other tires, Conti GP5000 or even *Pirelli P Zero Road* on the same rim have ~28.5-29mm !!!

    Oh. I forgot I posted when I got these. I see that after posting today.
    Stay safe and I’ve only had Conti 4 and 5k and some factory Giant tires from the factory as my comparison.
    *Guess I bought them last year, but just mounted them in June.

    I have always ran continental gpx 5000 just bought me some perelli tires. Have been on them for 80 miles. My experience so far is they where not as solid in cornering as the gpx. And were a little softer and mooshiy then the gpx. But everything you said I would agree with

    I will try the 35mm version. A road bike tire on a gravel bike, test if that works...

      @@lucatonipeperoni Yes I got the Pirelli Cinturato Velo in 35mm. They bomb-proof all season or supertough winter tires and work great. Although relatively slow, but for winter tyres (as I see them) they are great. Then I had the Continental Grand Prix All-Season (AS) in 35mm and they are also all-season but way way faster, although less bomb proof, but I think still tough for most. Both never a puncture and they (both) are not completely worn-out prob will put them (unsure which one) on around november this year (unsure)

      @@Aragorn.Strider thx for the reply. Do you know the inner size of your rims? I have 25mm and depending on which table i look it says it’s not compatible. But cant imagine that 35mm won‘t fit

    • @Aragorn.Strider
      @Aragorn.Strider 2 місяці тому

      @@lucatonipeperoni I have 24. On the officlal website it says from 30 to 60mm. That being said, I think anything higher then 50 will be to balloony. With your 25 I think 32 to 55 would be good. Maybe 30 is also possible on yours. The tendency on road bikes is to use wide rims and narrow tyres. Maybe someone on yours would even try 28 but unsure. Just a few mm more then the rim is width is recommended. There are official tables from schwalbe and a few more about rim width and tyre width, but those tables are from years ago, and now many would make them much closer

    • @Aragorn.Strider
      @Aragorn.Strider 2 місяці тому +1

      Also on the plus side of 35mm road tyres is yes you can use them during rain, or right after, also good on brick roads, and even on tame gravel. The good ones are only marginally slower then a full road bike tyre. Just don't pretend they are mountainbike tyres, that won't work. Don't use them on single track, not on sand roads, although on a few meters and being extra careful, a bit slower, and put your skills to work, yes it can still work on hard sand.

    I just got a pair of these and I'm excited for my 1st ride tomorrow. I'm making the change from the horrible Continental 5000 s tr. Those have to be the worst Conti tires ever for riding the streets of NYC.

  • @edlorenz1552

    Good tires. I've found them to be very smooth and excellent at taking out the road vibrations. However, they are not as fast as the Pro One TTs. Just a note.

    • @DialedCycling
      @DialedCycling  3 роки тому

      Thanks for the feedback! Just based on speed alone, we have come to the same conclusion through the different published tests out there. This is great for the racer, but the overall durability of that tire isn't the best from our experiences. We'd be curious to hear your input, though!

    • @edlorenz1552
      @edlorenz1552 3 роки тому +1

      @@DialedCycling Yes, the Pirelli's are more durable. However, I was leaving the comment on your video to offer prospective buyer's the insight that the Schwalbe's are faster. After all - Pirelli has labeled this tire "Race", when in fact, it really isn't a race tire per se, but more of an all round, "performance" tire.

    Uhhhh. Couldn’t disagree more. Based on your review I switched from GP 4000/5000 to these. Bead hard to get in then worn stay. Randomly they’ll be flat when I go to get on. With only about 1800 miles they look rough. Many slits and despite the new tire nobs still being on the outside the tread is worn a LOT. They grip ok. Worse than conti for sure. Had to emergency stop once and slid under 12 inches and there’s a giant patch down to the cords. Just my take as a long time solo cyclist logging around 8k a year.
