‼️As somebody that has worked in TV since the 90s, here’s what changed:
1995: 90% Planning, 10% Shooting
2020: 10% Shooting, 90% Post
Also, just look at the crap advertisers put out now. Nobody has any money for advertising because the ad agencies have found ways to pocket everything that comes in. So a $10,000 budget (for the production side ONLY) gets you a pregnant woman and her abused BF and whatever new toy they want to use that day.
Oh yeah, they love toys. They buy something saying how badly they need it, play with it for literally one shoot, then it ends up with all the pieces spread out all over the storage rooms and nobody can ever get it in one piece and then it gets thrown out.
They pitch ad ideas based entirely on what THEY want. If they feel like visiting a ski resort, suddenly the next ad customer that comes in is going to get pitched an ad that features a ski lodge or skiing or whatever.
Think I’m joking but look at literally any ad today. No budget, no vision, no effort. Just big fat baby lib clowns that think they’re entitled because they know what words like “post” and “Dutchy” mean.

I mean he is kinda right tho. How are people supposed to know what they’re looking at on a diagram unless they have someone to explain it to them, it’s not exactly ikea instructions. We didn’t get taught in depth about how circuits worked until junior year physics. Sams only real problem is that he just thinks what he wants to think. He will learn everything there is to know about a subject he’s interested in, like video equipment, cars, and graphic design. But if he doesn’t care he just doesn’t care. And that’s a pretty common problem to have.

1 = open (on) as in the disc is turned sideways letting the water past on each side

Idk how the ⏻ messes with Sam. Must be -tism but if i'm trying to explain it to a 5yr old then its "O" is connection/circuit (circle = connected) and I cuts the "O" so it's off or shuts it down. I've also heard that it's coding. On is "1" and off is "0" so adding them together makes sense. Never heard the tube/valve explanation but it makes no sense. Def something those old rtrds made up. I don't know more/deeper about it but it's a crazy good sign to use that anyone understands what it means except Sam.

Yeah those “old rtrds” as you call them are correct. Off is a circle representing a flat disc like a coin blocking a tube. Turning it sideways lets the water thru and you just see the edge of the disc, like a straight line. “Well I don’t get it so they must be lying”… ok bro
