My neighbours used to play Hotel California every weekend at night and scream sing it at the top of their lungs. Thankfully, the drunk dad died a year ago and they stopped playing it.

I think people are starting to hate The Eagles only because they have one song that's over-played on the radio, which is Hotel California, which truthfully, is a great song. But when you've heard it 10,000 times, ALL the time, it becomes something you hate....Just like me and virtually every single Bon Jovi song.
People have always hated The Eagles, but it's mainly for Don Henley and Glenn Frey and their proud embodiment of everything wrong with the music industry.

If you notice, most drummer/singers will play a simpler beat and sing, then stop singing and play something more difficult. The dude from Mastadon drums relatively difficult stuff and sings, which is more impressive than most. I really don’t enjoy Underoath but their singer is great at singing that gay shit, and he is a solid drummer. Shame he sings teenage twee goth suicide notes. Phil Collins famously drummed and sang, and he’s pretty cool. The Eagles dude will drum the simplest shit while he sings and the Eagles smoke dense choad.*
