I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned because I didn't read all your comments but I've been using Lush for many, many years and I've found that if you take a bomb and put it in a thin sock and slam it on something hard, they will break in perfect halves. Also, with the Butterball, you want it to melt fast so that the oils will have longer to sink into your skin. Not all fizz out as fast. :)
the bath bombs go fast because they do stuff for your skin and they need to scent the whole bathtub. The butterball bathbomb is to make ur skin super soft and moisturize it. It's also supposed to scent your skin. I used the blackberry bathbomb which smells amazing and it turns your bath a deep purple color. It lingered on my skin all day and people complimented my hair and my scent i guess u can say.
The girl at lush told me to wet the buffy exfoliator and then just gently rub it onto ur skin before getting into the shower and then once u get into the shower just gently massage it and rinse it. It is abrasive and I think that is inevitable but it works better that way. It worked for me maybe u might want to try that. And, thank you for hooking me into lush. I just absolutely LOVE IT.
really? honey i washed the kids' smell is to die for? when i got to smell it at Lush few days ago i was surprised how it was not as sweet as i thought it was going to be. i bought a small chunk of rockstar because it smells like bubble gum and got bohemian as a sample. i was thinking of buying porrige because it smelled so good but i guess i should be warned lol thanks for the review!

no you are right about the abrasive side of porridge! I tolerated the porridge until about... 3/4 of the bar was used...but then you get this big..nucleus of oats... it hurt so bad! so I used it on my feet instead.
for the soap cutting; try dipping your knife blade in hot water (kinda like when you cut a cheesecake!)
i just went to lush yesterday and i got the rock star soap, the candy bath one, dreamtime bath melt, the thearpy bar, the wiccy message bar, the ring of roses soap, an emoitbomb.. forgot the name of it...ivory savon soap, the buttermilk bomb one.. i tryed the rock star soap and i loved it.. and my mom tryed the ring of roses soap and that one is good as well..
I had the same "skidding" problem with the rockstar soap. I've learned that it lathers better if you use a bath sponge. I just rub it on the sponge until I get a rich lather and it works wonderfully. It also only takes a little chunk, so I seriously have had my .3 pound chunk for like 5 weeks! Just a suggestion!

Also, the bath bombs dissolve quicker the fresher they are. You should try the Happy Pill bath bomb and use the whole thing, that one lasts FOREVER.
(I always use the whole thing, personally, I think it's worth it because the fragrance and color is stronger and sometimes there are little surprises in the middle of the bomb. ^^)
Elle u have to try the facemasks from lush. They're made from fresh ingrediants so are all good for your skin! I love 'cosmetic warrior' which helps spots! I really recommend them. 'Cupcake' (made from chocolate) and 'Love Lettuce' are good also! x
u know what your mom was thinking about when she asked if baby dinosuars come out of the bath bombs.
do u remember the baby dinosaurs that were really tiny and, after u get them wet, they sponge out to be really big and change in its size.
i agree with everything that you said i just bought alot of lush stuff yesterday and its funny because everything you liked i liked and everything i hated you disliked too thats why videos like this are great people can watch this before they go buy it
Dont give up on bath bombs! My favourite is Blackberry Bath Bomb, the smell is to die for and it turns the water a dark perple colour! I havent tried them all but thats my fave so far, I bought like 4 of them the last time I ordered from Lush!! lol

I haven't tried any of Lush's products but plan on doing so soon...and I really wanna try the Honey I washed the kids, but since the lush bath bombs and soapa are so moisturizing do u need a moisturizer after u shower?
hmms I thought that buffy was definately painful to use but porridge was fine for me....a thing with porridge was that it melted really fast. I'll definately go back to get the butterbomb ^^ sounds really nice

After this, I'm gonna go to town tomorrow and get some Honey I Washed The Kids and Rockstar soap. I've never tried Lush products before, but after this review i'm gonna give it a try!

LOL What your mom said was funny cuz I had that same thought before! I was making my own bath bomb and tried to put a baby dinosaur in it...it killed the dino :( it got all mushy and icky lol
haha so today, I went to Lush and stood there for like ten minuts smelling Rockstar Soap and Honey I washed the Kids and like everything else.definately, saving money to buy stuff :D
its weird cuz when i used honey I washed the kids it kinda skidded too, but i still think honey i washed the kids is a good soap. anyways i love your videos, you make me laugh :D
I think Lush should offer a free cutting service. Like the local bakeries where you can buy a whole loaf of bread and they can slice it in a machine for you. That would be great.
And if you don't like buffy's smell then you should try aqua mirabilis because it does the same thing but it smells like cocoa buttery, I like it and it exfoliates more than the buffy.
I new to Lush but I already love it!!! If you but your bathbomg in a ziplock bag and throw it on the floor a it will break in pieces and your can use it over time instead of just once!
i think you did a really super review, i work part time at lush during college i think people should definatly make more reviews on lush! and ur cat is soooo cute!
My bathbomb that i got was Sex Bomb bath bomb and it took quiet a while to finish fizzing so maybe it was just the one you got :/

I never want to be a negative Nelly. I have tried several lush products, but I feel as though they are so overrated. They smell nice, they make you feel pampered, but ridiculously expensive as compared to other natural soap and bath product companies I have purchased from. The difference would be is that the names aren't as cool and the packaging is different. Again, I like them, but I think the hype is kind of crazy. I think it was crazy that I spent $150 on a few bath products.

first culinary rule: sharper knife = less pressure to cut = LESS chance of injury :] how else do us chefs cut into bone ;)
you could microwave the soap for just a few seconds to help to make it easier to cut also run the knife under hot water to make it easier too

You can ask the people in Lush to cut your soap into a smaller piece usually, so I'm sure if you asked them they would portion it up for you. :)
Most people actually hate the fact the wax comb is on top of the soap because you end up paying the price of the soap for a layer of wax.

Maybe to cut the soaps you should heat the knife by putting it under hot water, like you do an ice cream cake. It might work!

I have no idea why you think the soaps are hard to cut. I cut through my soaps with ease and I used a butter knife.

Honey i washed the kids soap is one of my favorites!! That was the first Lush product I ever tried 2years ago.

Porridge really hurt my skin too! I can barely rub it against my arms, it hurts so much!!! Lol crazy.
A tip for cutting the soap is to heat the knife under hot water, it should cut the soap like butter.

ive tried the ring of roses and it smells so good. it smells citrusy with a hint of roses. and u really have to rub them in your hands for them to lather but i think they worth a try
Next time you have to cut your soaps try heating your knife, it should cut easier that way :O)

Mine were all really easy to cut, so that might be different from place to place or batch to batch. Mine were definitely really smooth though. And I absolutely love porridge - but yeah, it is slightly abrasive. Love it though!!!

I just went to Lush for the first time today!!! I am so excited to have a bath! According to the lady helping me today, the bath bombs do dissolve pretty quickly. I remember her sayin' that cuz she said they're more for getting your bathwater to be moisturizing or whatev. When she said that, I basically just kinda wrote off the bath bombs cuz I'm more into bubble baths. I don't like to see my bathwater, lol.
hey great review love ur cat... super cute! anyway, you mentioned having problem cutting the soap... I had a hard time at first, but I have been using lush soaps for like 6 years, so I found an easier way (( for me anyway )) to cut them, if you get a dish of really hot water, and set your knife in there for a bit to get warm it cuts through the soap like butter... so thought I would pass that along... Hope it works! Happy baths!

Thanks, great video! I am getting big into Lush and I am a guy. I like the ones that invigorate me and also sooth my dry skin. I want to get the honey one now because it looks so cool. Green monster is my favorite now though. I have eczema and need something good. I want to eat the honey one the way you show it..lol

You could try warming the knife before slicing. I think that may help.

I used a product I dunno remember the name but it did not last long!!!..some kind of body butter soap I was disappointed.. these things are expensive.. you would expect them to last a good bit
