    'BLESS'D THE DAY' [SOLOMON'S QUEEN]
    Bless'd the day when first my eyes
    'Saw the wisest of the wise!
    Bless'd the day when I was led
    To ascend the nuptial bed!
    But completely bless'd the day,
    On my bosom as he lay,
    When he call'd my charms divine,
    Vowing to be only mine.
    Bless'd the day' [da capo]

    Thank you for "blessing my day!" Masterful and heart-felt. And I like the tempo. It conveys the joy and uplifting nature of Handel's music and text.

    Blessed is the man
    Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
    Nor stands in the path of sinners,
    Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
    But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
    And in His law he meditates day and night. Psalms 1 : 1-2.
    Dear All: Have a blessed New Year 1 Jan 2020.

    Lovely singing but the tempo is too driven in the allegros. The thing is that the words are important and are lost because of the speed. It should be slower!!! and would be so much more meaningful. No woman says Bless the day when first mine eyes etc at a speed that takes away all the sensuousness

      Händel's manuscript says "allegro" though... Also, I can assure you (since I'm a woman, I know) that we CAN do that.
