I couldn’t resist, I ordered mine in ‘The Fall Guy’ colors. You have a new subscriber and I can’t wait to detail it! We just need a 3D printed push bar now. 🤘🏼💯
I run the rc4wd BFG Baja T/A's on my K5 with the rc4wd white wagon wheels. This combo looks great on a truck that's been lowered and looks super scale. Does really well on the trails in my opinion.
Thanks Matt for all the info. I agree with you on the TSL Swampers, would definitely go with that tire for sure and maybe the shiny aluminum 80's-90's style wheel. Looks like a great combo!🤘💪
Great video as always! Has any companies come out with shock keys for the k5? I feel like having some adjustability with shocks could help tremendously.
Thanks for showing us the great options for this truck. i would like to see the rc4wd 54mm mud bashers on this because i like tractor tires on lifted old trucks.. i think i'm going to try this set first when i get my k5.
The swamp king should be 64mm I think yours are worn a bit. Love the info. I'm definitely shoving the original swamp kings under mine I love the way they preform and the added clearance you get.
@@MrWheatable I haven't ordered one yet. I'm going to order it at the end of summer and order 64mm swamp kings and weighted rims. I have weighted rims and swamp kings on both my other micro crawlers and absolutely love the performance you get. from them
i threw on some 58~60mm injora boggers (the ones that say austarhobby) they suck but seem to be perfect size for my truck. i really like the look of those proline swampers. wranglers look great too!
Looks good with larger tires! FMS should have stretched it out to 155mm wheelbase and really compete against traxxas in the 1/18 market! I run my power wagon at 155mm and it's perfect for that platform, good climbing without getting hung up too bad on the center skid.
Thought these were pretty cool looking when they first came out, but said, "Nah, don't need it". But with the 2fmrc discount, I changed my mind and said, "WTF!". Just ordered one for $135.99 total, shipped. Already have the original FCX24 and like it. One question... Is there a decent oil damped shock option that gets rid of the undamped shock "jiggle"?
The hobbyplus Aluminum oil filled shocks for the rock van and t hunter would probably be a really good fit for this one. I may try them on mine. Haven’t did any test fitting with them so not sure but they hold oil well and seem to be really good! I love them on my T Hunter. shrsl.com/40yls
@2FM RC Yeah was wondering about that. Would it help if they were run upside-down? That's how I plan to run them eventually. Just ordered my orange k5 beauty from your link. Can't wait to get it!! Thanks!!
@2FM RC Honestly, I'm really not mad at the stock shocks. with really thick oil and no springs and being mounted lower and back on the frame, they work really, really nicely. I get full movement from full droop as low as it can go to full extention with the driveshafts almost falling out, all with the short stock shocks.
Hi 2FM! I was curious as to what kind of wheel you are using on those shown at 10:20 with the Crawler Master tires? I have chrome wheels that look just like that on my fullsize 76' Jimmy/Blazer. Thanks!
I know you had said that you're like Dementors and stuff like that slay the lines that that truck could not do a little comparison might just show a lot of people which way they want to go you know like if they want to go and scale truck or with the actual crawler buggy just thought I would throw that out there
Guess they shut it down. They told me they were going to stop all codes on the Blazer on the 17th but maybe they started a bit early lol. It only works on the fms site in case you were trying fairrc
You know I had a set of those sitting on the bench but they weren’t mounted so I didn’t try them yet. I’ll have to try them for sure. I wanna start running them some again

Thanks for taking the time to test all these tires out!

Thanks Matt, I always seem to order to large a tire, that helps me a bunch. Can't wait till mine shows up!
That orange and white K5 body is asking for some patina effect. It's the perfect color combo to work with. It would look so sick
That's my plan.

Thanks for that.
You have so many tires 🤪👍
I caught that discount code. I just have to sell 2 of my rigs. One to pay for the blazer. The other to pay for our anniversary.

I have those tires and man do I regret buying those they look good but somethings just not right
@@prob6999 for $13 on prime in not mad lol but yeah, horrible compound but good looks. they are okay on the super jagged rocks where I crawl in AZ
Good job I have a spare set of 56mm tyres on brass beadlocks. I snapped some screws so they're stuck on there 😅
Yeah I appreciate it Matt, I did get the discount On the orange and white one I ordered a couple of days after the black one
Sweet. I’m gonna have to get those pro line swampers
Good luck finding them right now! I couldn't find any in stock right now. I run them on a different truck and they are great tires
@@Glowingtomato yeah I’m gonna have to get them when they come back in stock hopefully get it within a couple weeks after the blazer
They're good, i'm using them on my trx4m and they get me everywhere.
Thank you for all your info on this!!
Function over form... I need the best grip on loose leaves and slick river rock
A pre-ordered mine with your code when do they come do you know and that sucker looks nice......... Thanks for always posting these awesome videos bro
Supposed to start shipping the first of May I believe. I appreciate the support man 🙏

58mm looks like a good fit
Agreed
Wow great video and great info!! Almost time to build a 1:1 scale lol
Dang you!!! You got yours Early.
Any idea where I can get those wheels/center caps you show at 4:50? Those are super rad.
Those came from the hard body crawler co
thehardbodycrawler.com/product/vintage-wheels-set-of-5/
As im watching this video my 2fm rc Shirt just came in the mail
Thanks for the comparison. Looks like the front links could be extended to center the front wheels in the wheel well. Is that right?
I was looking to get treats but they seem to big for mine so I’m gonna go with injoras instead
Another great, informative video. Thank you!
I bought the Smasher v2 but I want more narrow tires and wheels. Unfortunately I paid $145 no deal for me 😔
Great review. I snatched one up at that great price w your promo code. Thanks
Nice! Hope you love it!
Wish they would have lengthened the wheel base a touch to fit the body. Otherwise I like it!
Yeah it would’ve definitely helped performance also
Can you put different tires on the factory rims without buying new ones?
Thanks for doing this!
Like the 62's 😜👊👍✌️🦅🇺🇸🦼
Love the smaller tires. The bigger tires make it look like a cartoon car.
Those 55 mm injora tires and wheels even have the proper Chevy center cap
Gosh dang tire shop. They just kept coming and coming 😂😂😂
Max smasher tires!!
I'm going to make some custom links for the front of mine after I get it to lengthen it. Do you think the rear could use a mm or 2-3?
At 4:51, what wheels are those please? I've been looking but no luck

What about the carisma msa-1e aluminum oil shocks? Those are the ones I'm going to try on my fcx24 once the stock ones stop holding oil.
@@JP-qq2kn yeah those are a great choice also. Longer than the stocks and the ones I mentioned. They just always end up leaking eventually.

Search for "axspeed 1.0 beadlocks", you'll find them.
@@tarantula-man Thanks for the information, I appreciate it!
Does the smasher body fit with the blazer chassis? Thx
What about some deep dish rcawd rims ?

Maby the smaller muddslingers?
if you get extended shocks wouldnt it fix the rub issue?
Has anyone tried to remove the foam from the stock tires?
😂 bro love the injora crawler tires.....lol.....how bout mudslingers

White wheels with the swampers?
How do the Smasher tires fit with flex?
Not good at all really. That’s why I don’t know why people keep showing it with them. It’s something I’d never run basically lol
They'll look good sitting on the shelf...
The problem isn't the wheels, the problem is the ride hight
Wat about scramblers 😂
Rubbing is racing lol
I guess Smasher tires will not fit
They do just not real well. I did a video on monster truck tires on the k5 also.
