They changed the law in Australia about 15 years ago to make it so they could only be charged if it was overdrawn for 24 hours and you could only be charged a fee once a month capped at 15 dollars. You do have to pay an interest rate based on the amount you're over drafted if you're over drafted for over a month but its based on 8% PA from memory. At least with my bank.
Work at a McDonalds, by far the most messed up thing I saw go down personally, was when my manager had to kick a person high on something out on Halloween. They came back and threw a rock the size of a basketball into one of our windows and broke it.
I worked at a warehouse in Columbus dont wanna give out her business so I'll call her Sunshine because she's always smiling so Sunshine had been SA for about 6 month along with harassment and finally spoke up. Sunshine was then picked on by the boss and then FIRED FOR MISHANDLING PROFITS THAT We All KNOW SHE DIDNT DO. Last I heard Sunshine is in the skies😢😢😢 she Unalived herself and was found by her Teenage Daughter🥲🥲🥲. Who then got hooked on substances and OD and the Father And tha Son Lost there Mom And Sister and home 😩. The father later passed on do to a broken heart and the Son has tried numerous times to end the pain. SN: THIS CREEP IS IN PRISON FOR TOUCHING A MINOR BUT HE TORE A WHOLE FAMILY UP. Sorry Sunshine Rest in Peace I still remember her Laugh 😢😢
I worked in a prison and two co-workers who had dated but broke up, he took out a 9 mm gun shot her twice in the back, pointed the gun at me 3 times then shot himself. Does this count. This happened inside the prison.
Work at the Fresh Market. Another guy saw a customer put his hand in the olive bar, lick his hand, and then use his hand to scoop some olives for himself. We had to toss the rest of the tray because...gross.
I work at a 7-11 Girl (15) comes sprinting and sobbing, screaming her grandad just beat the crap out of her and she was wearing a white hood with red spots which given what she was telling me, I believed was blood, call the police and lock the door as she was TERRIFIED her dad was about to come and force her to go back. The police get to the store, two cars of them and they take her outside to calm the young lady down, then as if by pure chance the dad pulls up, red in the face, asking me where she is and I (hoping he'd do something stupid and get arrested for letting his dad beat his own daughter) told him, he goes outside, starts screaming so loud that I can hear him through the door and then speeds off down the road, I really hooe that girl is okay, I haven't seen her since...
I work in the trades as an electrician. So often Im in people's homes. For WTF moments, it is usually one of two modes: A: How TF did this house not burn to the ground??? B: I DID NOT need to find THAT under the bed while checking the outlet!🤮
I work at Amazon, not even halfway through my first week, I saw two foreign dudes sticking their hands down each others pants and management didn’t care.
Lady had a heart attack then a trained nurse who was shopping that day told her she was ok to drive herself to the hospital where they confirmed that yes she was having a heart attack.
Had a guy helping with a 9' piece of 6/4 hard maple on joiner, he tripped while balancing the outfeed & my dominate hand got a bit chipped. Worst part is the paramedics destroyed the dust collection system so they could mush the red stained lumpy sawdust mix into a bag, later resulting in a laugh with the hand surgeon when presented with the challenge. Luckily only lost my ring finger, of course it was a few weeks before my wedding. Ugg
Wasnt at work but walking on the way to work, I saw a junkie do the saint row insirance fraud mini game in real life. He literally jumped into the side of a car as it drove by and bounced off kinda unfazed, so then he proceeds to take a few steps back get a running charge and dive head first into the next car. I dont know what happened next as was a bad neighborhood to begin with so you just move on and dont ask question
I had a bank stack overdraft fees like that up to over 500$ plus my existing negative balance, but they refused to help with any of it. I paid it off by dodging their calls until it went to collections, dodging their calls for enough years that that debt got sold off to other collection agencies, and eventually one of them didn't care and would accept any amount of money to close it out, and settled on about 25% of the original debts. Was this a good strategy? Yes and no. My credit is shit, and it's been yeaaars but I can finally start trying to rebuild it. But I also didn't have to come up with a bunch of money I did not have to give to a bank that didn't need it.
The most phuqed up thing I ever saw at work was the day I got laid-off after working there for fours years with a perfect attendance record, never called in sick or late once. Phuq U andit industries.
Man its one thing to be such a loser you feel necessary to point out being first, but its a way lower level of pathetic to claim it when you wernt even first lmao
My boss had a seizure at my first job when i was 15. Thank fuck I'd babysat when i was younger and had taken lots of first aid classes for it, as my other coworkers were the same age and completely freaking out. I got one to call 911 while i held my boss's head off of the tile floor. She ended up being fine, she was also pregnant and the baby was alright too. It was just awful. I also saw a guy try to rob a sonic carhop with a knife while i was across the street at my job. The dude must have been high or smth bc it was literally 3pm and was stopped by a cop quite literally just driving by within 30 seconds. It happened super fast.
I caught someone lighting up a cigarette next to a crate of large propane cylinders 😨
Overdraft fees should be illegal. Every time a bank gets caught charging one, they should get a five million dollar fine.

Sounds normal for McDonald's lol
Sounds like a regular day at my local McDonald's.
I was really hoping you were going to say that they threw a rock into the fryer
