Now onto Moonlight.
I ended up having to cheat a little on this one. That disjointed part at 3:25 is just dumb. They say in the book to try to ignore what the other guy is doing. Lol, good luck if you're playing lead. At least the rhythm follows the bass drum. Also the first chord of the second bar is actually delayed by a 16th note, so it's even harder than it looks. Took me a while to figure that out and why it didn't sound right. I ended up having to record a different version of that part to play along to because even after going through that loop a million times, it still melted my brain. No clue how they do it live. I would assume there is some assistance in the click track.
For the part at 0:17 where they ascend on the fast hammer-ons, that's a crazy jump at that speed. The second half can be switched to 0-3-5-7 on the A string and it makes it a ton easier to play.
There's also a small mistake in the tabs at 3:14. Two of the patterns at the end actually have a descending note at the end rather than ending on an ascending hammer-on. It also helps to play the opening run with a bar at 12 rather than trying to do that crazy back-stretch. It also makes it flow better when coming back around for the 2nd run. The only other deviation was the last pinch harmonic. I couldn't find it on the position in the tab. Oddly I ended up moving it to a fret that's out of key (so don't miss it or it sounds real bad lol)
Lastly, it's criminal that they left Tim's clean solo out of the tabs (I think it's Tim anyway). Not sure if I'm playing it the same but I think I got the notes right.
I'll be doing The Dissentience next, mainly because I'm sick of transcribing drums and bass on Scurrilous.
Sick as always dude. I love the dueling guitar melodies like at 1:07 and 2:24, this is definitely on of my favourites from them. And yeah, the disjointed part near the end is just ridiculous lol. I swear Luke writes himself next to near impossible to play stuff just because. Your interpretation of the part sounded great. Looking forward to The Dissentience and anything else in the works!
I'm glad you requested this one. This song is top-notch songwriting and I forgot how much fun this one is. And not having learned Tim's parts, yeah, the melodies in this song are killer. I'd love to know what parts Luke considers to be the "what the hell was I thinking" parts.
Hi! Awesome cover as always!
Are you planning to play songs from the Kezia album? I'd really like to hear this.
I'll definitely get there eventually. There's no drum and bass tabs so those are going to be a lot of work. If you have a specific request, drop a comment and I'll add it to the queue.
@@spiritcrusher5708 I hope to see one of these songs someday: «Heretics and Killers» or «Blindfolds Aside».

Both of your wishes were fulfilled, won't you look at that?
