I play fusion deployment to bring out dark magician more consistently in Gaia . You will see the new fusion out more by doing this .

@@TheSeraphrim depends how many of the vanilla you’re playing or if there are other monsters you can use deployment for, typically you want 3, but 2 is also good depending on what you’re running in the deck

Updated comment: i just now built this deck on Master duel to play for fun. I replaced Terriforming because it's banned. So Eye of Timaeus is the replacement. You just never know when that card will come in handy.

I already run Dark Magician in my Gaia deck because I play a Red-Eyes Fusion package so adding the new boss monster to the extra deck is a no-brainer.

I'm glad to see it. Got a new boss monster but still feel like the debt could use some new cards. Go in the main tag like some new curse of dragon monsters and some more Gaia the fierce night with a new fusion or two and new XYZ monster to go with it because I feel like the deck just ain't getting enough support

Set Rotation would be an excellent one of, both Field Spells benefit you while Gateway to Chaos disables your opponent from playing their own Field Spell.

@@michaelshumaker6515 You must have a valid target to activate Gateway to Chaos and due to game mechanics one cannot place a new Field Spell over a set FS, meaning it soft locks your opponent out of their FS while also never being a brick in your deck.

@@ld12278 so what do you do, use set rotation, put one gateway on their field and one on your field or the galloping Gaia, activate Gaia and then they can't do anything with their field zone?

Yes, exactly. The Zefra Field Spell also locks them out unless they can search a card in their deck that’s Zefra

I feel that if you summon Dark Magician on your field, the spell card "The Eye of Timaeus" I feel would be good for summoning any of your Dark Magician fusions including your new boss monster. That's just my opinon.
