At this point I think all of Yugi's classic Duelist Kingdom cards (and some from Battle City) have their own archetype, which is amazing to think about. Looking forward to this one. My first ever secret rare was Gaia the Dragon Champion (and the misprint Ultra Secret rare) back in the day, so this archetype is very nostalgic for me.
A lot more spells then I expected, but with a archetype that has limited core cards this makes the most sense( Also I totally knew you would do gaia.)
This might sound a little crazy, but hear me out: I don't think this deck would be super competitive, but I love the concept of an Armed Dragon Gaia mashup. The Gaia field spell can search for level 5 dragons, one of which that comes to mind is Armed Dragon Thunder Lv 5. I haven't done much testing yet, so I havent quite cracked it, but I feel like there might be something there. As an enjoyer of both decks, I think it'd be fun to pull off but it'd probably be on the casual side unfortunately. Still! When I was able to pull off some combos I was having fun with it. Just need to fix some ratios and consistancy. I feel like a lot of Armed Dragon decks turn into Tomahawk plays, which is fine but at that point, AD feels more like an engine than the main point of the deck. Being able to somehow put out a big Gaia monster as well as a big boy Armed Dragon just sounds awesome. Not to mention, as far as I can tell, no one else has done it yet.
Might have to give a Gaia deck a shot after seeing this deck profile seems like a really fun deck to run
Gaia the Fierce Knight! Spiral Shaver!!! Love this card from back in the day. Hopefully you do Celtic Guardian one day. One of Yugi's early monsters.
