    This Trucking Game may not be a view from inside the cab, but it's the most realistic physics that a truck makes where you get to understand how to truck operates in reverse. American Truck Simulator (ATS)and European Trucking Simulator 2 (ETS2) are the best trucking games that you get, and I recommend that you play them, but my game is created for people to just get used to reversing a trailer.
    I have heard from so many users that truck schools across the country use my game and use my videos to show their students how to back up.

    If you’re fully loaded, you cannot jackknife a spread axle while in reverse , the trailer will first start to rock from side to side as if the 5th wheel is a fulcrum. If you continue to back at too much of an angle the trailer will flip over. You have to use as much space as possible to eliminate the angles.

      A couple of factories in Virginia want you to jacknife with a loaded trailer. You definitely want to keep your stuff strapped, because that trailer will tilt big time. I hate this crap.

      @@JohnSmith-wx9wjIf you're an owner operator with your own trailer you can get a dump valve on the rear axle. Cheap, easy to install, and you simply dump the air before you back to take all the weight off that axle, then it backs like a tandem. I don't know why companies don't universally spec their spread axle trailers with dump valves, but almost none of them do. It's idiotic.

      Backing up in that tight of a spot loaded is not possible irl, just spent like 10 minutes trying tonight and there was still more room lol
      To be fair, our axles are a bit more spread than this which makes it even more impossible 😂

    This may work if you are empty but with 50000 pounds you jack knife a spread axle you going to be putting tires on the wheels

    22 yrs so far pulling a spread axle flatbed, this vid is close but yet so far off. 10-2 spreads turn so slow while fighting the drag of the front spread. Add in a 46k pound load and it gets worse. I can't put it to words exactly but I can tell you that the wall in your vid would have created a serious issue in the real world. You are moving backwards, and you realize that the trailer is gradually making this long exaggerated turning arc, much slower than what you are expecting. Great vid, neither of us are right or wrong, I do my backing different than you simulate, but I am going to try this example out and who knows, you may have simplified my life.

    I just started to drive a 53' flatbed, axles are like the one in the video. The problem is when the trailer is fully loaded, if you jacknife, it wont pivot, it jerks the tractor.

      I start in about 2 weeks with a spread axle flat. I keep hearing horror stories about damaged axles and blowing tires.

      @@dblr88 I quitted after a month, not because of the flatbed splitted axles but the company. Stay away from Western Express lol. But about the flatbed part, you wont have problem if you gotta back on dirt or gravel, kinda helps you to pivot the back. But on concrete, just do a 45 until it stops you, if you need more rotation pull up and try to rotate it until you got it in.

    You do not jackknife a spread axle. If you're loaded you'll be rocking the trailer at best, blowing tires most likely, worst case you flip the trailer.

    In reality its rather hard to do with a fully loaded flatbed spread. The way you are talking about how to do this it will tear your 1st axle tires.

    Dump axles are awesome. It's the easiest thing in the world to back. It's like sliding your tandems with the push of a button.
    Dump the back to jacknife. Dump the front to get under it.

    • @explicitdetour8467
      @explicitdetour8467 3 роки тому +2

      Can you do that while loaded ? I want to get a spread axle 53’ but have read that you can not alley dock or do 90 degree turns as the front axle tires will wear out and possibly come off. I was thinking that if you need to alley dock if your loaded you can lift the rear axle just like you said to be able to clear it

    • @MG-ks1qg
      @MG-ks1qg 3 роки тому +3

      @@explicitdetour8467 yes, you can use dump axles while loaded.
      Just keep in mind that you shouldn't drive fast with the dumps activated. All that weight will be on one axle instead of both. It's best for backing and negotiating tight intersections.

    You said it right at the very beginning of the video you’ve never pulled a spread. So you should not be on here giving advice on how to pull one. You cannot jack knife a spread it will tear up the tires and twist the axles if you don’t flip it over first. The best way to back a spread is to use as little angle as possible. Or just install a air dump kit on your axles and you can dump the air and instead of trying to slide your front axle across the parking lot with all that weight on it you can dump the air and take the weight off of it. Or the same for the rear axle it makes it so much easier to back in and it’s so much easier on equipment. A spread axle is far superior to a close tandem if you have dump/lift axles and you know how to use them and how to work the trailer around.

    How could I get this split axle trailer on the app ?

    • @MyTruckingSkills
      @MyTruckingSkills  3 роки тому +1

      The only place to try a split axle is in the CDL levels. Click the type of dock you want do, then the length trailer then just keep trying each level till you find it.
