It's hard to give Dubois props for character when he's been given every opportunity after several performances which would have ended other peoples career. It's hard to fault Hrgovic for being annoyed that someone like Dubois is currently ranked above him, for one difficult win against the worst version of Jarrel Miller.

Hrgovic has been looking for thr fights. I live in Croatia and I see him trying to get the big fights, his issue is this. He is dangerous, but he does not bring money to a fight, so he gets passed over.

In all honesty, this is all-in for both guys if they win or lose. If Dubois wins, he'll prove he can stick in the top 10, that he has heartily overcome his losses and is a worthy opponent, and Filip will finally have a solid opponent he's been properly preparing for which can only enable him further great fights. I don't see how the loser here doesn't become written off and given shoddy fights for the rest of their careers. Even with him being my fellow countryman, if Filip fucks this up he has no business talking any more shit and may as well retire like he said he will imo.
If Filip loses, maybe a fight with fellow countryman Babic would be on the cards.

Very simple why Hrgovic has a crap record/hasn't got the push because he ain't from the anglo-speaking countries. Usyk only broke the trend because the WBO give their champions a mandatory so he forced his way into AJ's plans.
That plus Usyk being unififed, undefeated cruiserweight champ and having a gold medal.
UK boxers are spoiled, look at AJ getting two instant rematches, after already having gotten three title shots all at a younger age than Hrgovic who is now getting his first one. Tyson Fury could get away with fighting Chisora and Ngannou and delaying the Usyk fight at will.

Good vid as always. I've read a lot of the comments and to be honest, I believe that Dubois can win and by knockout. Looking forward to the fights.
Dubois is the bigger puncher but Hrgovic is more well rounded fighter.

But then Hergovik hasn't really looked good since Zhang. Dubois, arguably, has improved through his losses too.

Hrgovic vs McKean was laclustre but what I was surprised at was Hrgovic's diry tactics, look at the knockdown, repeated blows to the back of the head of McKean before the stopage, that was due to Hrgovic's frustration that he wasn't falling over like his usual tomato cans
*Frustration due to hugging, McKean tried to hug again in that situation to save himself
Look at he match again, but objective this time and then comment dirty tactics.

And what is not known, Hrgović fought this with a cracked nose he took on sparing.
Daniel going down in 3rd round. Good thing that this fight is scheduled at half time of Champions league final, so football fans don't miss anything, and can watch full fight as well. Probably there will be some time left for commercials to.

Obviously it was close, but I my opinion Hrgovic did beat Zhang! And it's clear when watching the fight, that he did it whilst putting in minimum effort! Whatever was going on with him, he beat Zhang at 50%.

Croatia is a small country, we don't have so many good boxers. At that point both of them were undefeated, and Babić is more Bridgerweight. Plus Hrgović aim on top 10 boxers ( yes yes they ducked him so he end up with Mckean and De mori 🙉)

Sheeraz has got quite the lack of defence. Stepping over himself as he’s moving forward with shots, Willian is very good at counter punching, Sheeraz is long but stands very close, doesn’t really move the head, Williams has very good head movement and doesn’t lean over himself along with very good body work. Against a man who doesn’t have a tight defence the body work will do wonders. No idea of the chin of both men but I’d lean towards Williams based on what I’m seeing from both.
Can anyone tell me the fight card order (I know Wilder vs Zhang is headlining), articles on the internet are super inconsistent as to the order of fights (figure Dubois vs Hrgovic is the 2nd last fight of the night but even that is showing in a different order depending on what you read)

This is all depends on Dubois mindset in the ring. He should win Hrgovic is nothing special. His last opponent was a journeyman on his 40s.

Not sure what do you mean saying D fought much bigger names than Hrgović. D Fought 2 big names Usyk and Joyce. Lost both. Usyk humiliated him big time. Joyce was almost killed by Zhang so it is questionable is he or how he fought bigger names. Oh yea, Fat baby Miler is not a big name, he is just big.. I think Mckean would beat Miller.
I honestly don't know how good Dubious is. He seems to have great physical ability, I'm not convinced he has a good boxing brain and natural ring craft. AJ is similar, but a better version IMO. If he wins, I'll be very impressed and it will give him a huge boost. A big KO would send a message to the rest of the division! 💪

Hrgovic gets an early KO win. Too big, too strong and Dubois will quit again.
Hrgovich is clearly a strange unpredictable fellow but I don't like betting against a guy that can ride plenty of zhang's bangs for the dubious Dubios, who's taken the knee more times than Kaepernick.
As for Wilder Zhang, I mean I can't see Wilder being able to put enough pressure on Zhang to make him overly tired, Joe Joyce couldn't do it because you just can't risk getting in range. Wilder has never tasted a monster puncher like Zhang either, he's gonna send a left straight down the pipe and that's it, probably inside 4

In the Zhang fight, at one point looked as if he just couldn’t be bothered but, then suddenly he bit down on his gum shield and decided to get on with it. I don’t believe Dubious is a quitter, to me he definitely has something wrong with him…pretty sure it’s autism. So he hasn’t got it in him to “front it out” when he gets hurt. All the time he’s enjoying it, he is great but, as soon as he gets hurt, he WILL take a knee. He will not want to play anymore…!

Hrgović, except for being my countryman, is a really good fighter! When you say that the list of his opponents is shit, I can add - it is super-shit! But that is not his fault, he has always been a guy whose name people cannot even pronounce, not very marketable, but still dangerous enough to mess up literally any top heavyweight. A high risk, low reward guy, so he never could get much better opponents. Even now, he will be denied of fighting for a belt, which was promised to him, and he is the number one contender, so should not be boxing for anything other than the belt...

Fellas-Hrgovic won that Zhang fight 115-112 imo. People knock him for that fight but Zhang went on to win vs Joyce. Ask yourself this, that same version of Zhang, how does Dubois fair against him? Makes u appreciate the Hrgovic performance a little more.

Hrgovic is too slow to bother any real top 10-15 heavytweight, Usyk/Joshua/Fury/Whyte/Ortiz, even Chisora ethier just straight outclass him or just outpoint, overwhelm and even chin him.
By what criteria is it slow? Hrgovich destroyed terrifyingly fast boxers in his amateur career. With quick combinations and jabs, he completely outboxed Zhang (and hundreds of others in his amateur career) and nearly destroyed him. Statistically, Hrgovich landed more hard punches than Zhang: 168 to Zhang's 149. Hrgovich was superior in clean jabs 40 to Zhang's 5. As well as body shots 68 to Zhang's 8. Hrgovich is known for absolutely controlling the fight and imposing his pace. Hrgovich can certainly beat Usyk/Joshua/Fury/Whyte/Ortiz/Chisora. Hrgovich is probably the only one who cannot outbox Usyk (but this has not been proven in the ring), but he can knock out everything.
Hrgovic is so underrated. Think he beats most heavyweights personally

I don't give Dubois a huge chance vs Hrgovic. He was lucky to get out of the Lerena fight and Hrgovic is a proper big hitting hw with a solid chin. If he goes down vs Hrgovic he will be stopped.
