It's so great to see them in this context. It's unusual to see Zakir standing while he plays the tablas! As he's usually sitting. Electric. Inspirational. Mystifying! Thank you all involved. 🕉
This is incredible however as a fellow Tabla player and one who has studied Zakir and still do till this day I do find it hard to find space within this context with so much going however he held it together and managed to pull off an incredible performance as always. I have loved his playing and its amazing how it's all come together in this one unique evening of amazing and incredible fusion.

One of the very few "jazz" players who makes my jaw drop with his phrasing and his timing. He's a God to me. Long live John McLaughlin
