I can’t believe she just breezed through not being on any meds despite her diagnoses. If you have bipolar/depression/anxiety disorders DO NOT take yourself off your meds because you “feel better”. That is so incredibly dangerous.
It's also a recipe for disaster you feel better because the meds are working but she didn't ask my opinion when deciding to stop taking them so here we are.

It happens alot with bipolar. I finally have my husband making sure I always take mine and not stop.
As someone who has bipolar and would be no longer living without their meds, personally, I always find it rather alarming when she does this. She stops taking them for long periods of time reasonably often.
It isn't a super uncommon thing to do for people with bp, but it is still alarming nonetheless. If I didn't also use my meds to treat insomnia, then I would have had times when I stopped medication too. I'm just fortunate that mine serve a secondary purpose. My best friend also has bp, and they are often stopping their meds. It's not a good thing at all. It's dangerous, but common.
She should start taking them again, especially during a move and major life changes. I don't like Amber, but I also don't want anyone who can be treated to remain untreated, obviously.
I have bipolar and have stopped meds many times due to side effects and the fact I just don't want to have to take them. It never ends well and yet I can't count the times I have done it over the years.

My bff's uncle is bipolar. He has gone off meds several times and each time the family has to track him down and get him stable a few times the police had to get involved. I don't know what he's done while being off meds, but it's been really stressful for them to deal with.

Whenever I felt that way, my therapist or psychiatrist would often talk to me and explain that means the medicine was working! And if they thought I was ready, they’d slowly take me off of it just in case my symptoms flared up again. Just a thought I had.

And she said she’s been off one of them about 2 months. So around the time of the break up she went off it. That doesn’t seem like a good time to go off medication for psychological or neurological conditions

I’ve seen some comments about the meds but wanted to add…. Many people go off their bipolar meds when they are depressed/down from life (like a break up) because going off often causes a lift usually in the form of mania. Mania can lead to weight loss, hyper sexualization/risky sex (like having sex with an ex), euphoria, grandiosity, and rash decision making. Having unmedicated manic episodes is REALLY not ideal for the brain and will increase chances of future episodes.
I’m not surprised she “feels better” and is forgetting her anxiety….. we obviously cant tell from a video if shes manic nut she needs to see her psychiatrist asap

Okay on the whole medication topic, a diuretic just makes your body eliminate more water than it has been. It isn’t a “weight loss drug” in the traditional sense. Yes you lose weight, but it’s due to you peeing and eliminating excess water weight (or you dehydrating yourself if you don’t have excess water weight). If ALR gets “swollen” as much as she claims she does, she should talk to her doctor about getting on a diuretic to help reduce that water retention.
I could rant more but it’s futile. Let’s just say ugh I’m so sick of her medical misinformation.

That's not uncommon. People moving long distances can't always make a trip just to find a place. I agree it's not a great idea but People have to do what they have to do.
Not necessarily true, that's what we had to do for the home we are renting. We got COVID and couldn't tour it, only has a video tour the realtor took but we needed to secure it before someone else got it. The location, price and it being a home is why we did it. We did the tour after being approved and putting a deposit down and have lived here almost 2 years.
So, depending on what she was on, the weight loss could be a byproduct of getting off certain medications. Obviously, we're not entitled to that info, but I know first hand how medications can effect eating habits and weight fluctuation and exacerbate already existing disordered eating patterns. Sometimes with medication you have to choose between your mental health and physical health, which sucks. Whatever's going on with her, I hope it's a positive change that sticks.
True. I was on a med that made me hungry all the time and I gained 15 pounds. I switched meds and I slowly lost the weight I had gained because my appetite went back to normal.

I took a 7 month break from watching my amber related content cause life threw me for a loop and school just started(junior year), I saw your video notification pop up a few days ago and decided maybe i should catch up. I wanna say i’m shocked but i’m not, after watching her for nearly 6 years she really hasn’t change. About 2 years ago my parents separated and recently my mom found out my father cheated on her for 5 years, off topic but it’s crazy seeing the similarities between my father and amber, especially the way they treat others along with manipulating them. Your videos have been such a joy to watch over the years and i’m so happy i found you Zach. Last week i went to an appointment to take an ADHD test and my psychiatrist will go over the results in a few days(little nervous) but this was one of the bigger steps i took to improve myself and accept help. I’m also thinking of re-learning my parents language(Vietnamese) and maybe korean again, i just wanna live life to the fullest. (this was extremely long, whoops😅)

Lastly, I refuse to believe amber initiated the break up or mutually agreed on the brake up with wifey. Becky was obviously checked out for a long time and Amber would've gladly gone on exactly as they were until the end of time with no thought or concerned for becky.
