    It’s almost chilling to see that Senna rushed to the scene of Roland’s fatal crash less than 24 hours before experiencing his own… And Comas rushing to the scene of the crash, much like Senna had done for Roland

      He actually stopped a race to go and shut off another injured driver's car prior to this.

    • @matthew-jy5jp
      @matthew-jy5jp 5 місяців тому +1

      Isn't that ironic that on one side he could be a driver that would literally cause a crash just to win and at the same time give up a race to try to save a driver. He had those 2 sides in him. And if you think about it, how it was the drive to be the best that actually killed the man.

      Apparently that wasn’t Comas trying to intervene but a cock-up. Larousse had not noticed Ayrton’s accident, as they were trying to fix Comas’s suspension. The pit lane officials hadn’t put the red light on, so he went on and had to brake hard when he came across a helicopter on the track.

      It was the FIA who decided not to postpone the race when it should be. This is such a waste of life. We all know how dangerous F1 is, how deadly it was back then (Jules notwithstanding). But tbh the FIA putting money above safety and well anything else really is totally on brand. I adore F1 but the FIA needs a total overhaul. It's stories like this one, where truly avoidable deaths happened, that make me ill and a little angry.

    This would be even better if AI wasn’t used for the voiceover. It feels unnatural in my opinion

    I nearly turned off straight away as I hate AI commentary. So glad I didn’t. One of the best short F1 docos I’ve watched! Might go through and watch the rest. Keep up the good work! #recordingmachine 😂

    for anyone wondering what Senna said here in 5:28 he said "Him? nah, he needs the sponsors to pay him more for the next year, or else this boy won't be able to race next year." yeah, it's just a simple and funny sentence in it's context, but it's just to make sure to everyone that he isn't saying something worth of time to go searching, lol.

      The story telling is also all over the place. Jules hitting the crane 20 years later is really unnecessary since this story is about 1994. It's so cluttered.

    It was rumored Benneton was using a software based form of traction control that would erase itself upon car shutdown. Fastest pit stops because they illegally did not use a fuel filter to get the same amount of fuel in less time.

    The person who deserved the blame was the predecessor to Max Mosley as the chairman of the FIA, Jean-Marie Balestre, who had an adversarial relationship with Senna, and he’s the muppet who DIDN’T CARE FOR drivers’ safety.

    Senna's steering column broke after the accident not before. The column was broke in the shaft itself not at the weld where the repair was made. Also senna lost traction in the rear before impact. Alot of evidence supports the steering never broke before impact. Damon hill said he'd got into trouble in that corner He also said he wasn't travelling anywhere near the speed senna was in that corner. I think people have to stop playing the blame game. With most of these accidents, it's often not one thing, that's the cause, It's often an accumulation of things. I myself believe it to be that ! I love senna, i don't blame Williams, Patrick head or Adrian Newey for his death.

    33:28 what an undeserved win. "I crashed into you so i win it all no matter what". So basically he couldve just purposfully crashed into him to take him out like how he did right there and bam champion. Without even needing to complete the race

      Funny how Hill himselves admitte din interviws (and i think in his own book too), that a) he should not have gone for that gap at all, and b) He would have done exactly the same thign in Schumachers stead, because thats how it was done back in the day. The whole incident was blownmassively out of purposions becaus ethe most prominent media about F1 was the british one, and it happends AGAINST a british driver, and the british are still salty about it to this day.
