They're like 22 and 23 here. Cliff's death hit them hard and fundamentally changed Metallica forever. And Justice For All is the album the band members have the least good memories of making, partly because they were still hurting. But it's also my favorite Metallica album, so... make of that what you will. People often mistakenly think that Cliff's death also changed Metallica for the "worse" because of the black album. The problem with this notion is that Cliff was the guy whose taste MOTIVATED them to want to make something like the black album. And both James and Lars have said that had he lived, And Justice for All probably wouldn't have been made, but the black album would have.

If you really want to see Cliff full talent you should check out Metallica - (Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth…it’s a bass solo and the live version will blow you away

Cliff knew classical music and music theory, he played piano since he was 6 years old, however, he started playing bass in his teens, he was the oldest in the original Metallica lineup and taught others a lot about harmonies and melodies, unfortunately Cliff died in tour for the band's third album, Master Of Puppets, in 1986, when their bus lost control and overturned on the road, Cliff did not survive the accident, his body was thrown through the side window of the bunk bed and crushed by the weight of the bus that fell on him. he. Back at the hotel, that first night without Cliff, they got drunk. No matter how much they drank, no one could sleep. James fell to pieces, anguished one moment, filled with rage the next.
At four in the morning, the others heard James drunk in the street, shouting, “Cliff! Where are you?!" Kirk couldn't help it and started crying.

If you think this camera angle favors Cliff Burton the most, it’s because his dad shot this on his own video camera. The whole CLIFF ‘EM ALL! video collection is special-highly recommend if you get a chance to watch it. The Day on the Green footage (For Whom The Bell Tolls) is in it along with a few other very early concerts.
