Nice video. Hopefully you'll get some more work done to it and get it back on the road again. I actually have a 1952 buick super I inherited from my grandfather after he died. He bought it in rough shape it it sort of a rust bucket i could say but looks like the car came from Iowa at one time and was last driven on the road back in 1975 looking at the old registration cards left in the glove compartment. I suppose I will need to save my money and take my time getting piece by piece restored and getting the old I8 engine and dynaflow transmission rebuilt and eventually get it back on the road one day soon hopefully. Look like my grandfather though did try to get it going or was going to before he died because I seen spark plugs and the receipts of them he grabbed for it at auto zone. But anyway wish me the best of luck on this.
Love it, Love it, Love it, the I8 runs! These engines of that period were bitchin’, vibration free, reliable & real nice to know she was a straight 8, something real representing under the hood and not a piss-poor I6.
My son (22) saw a 51 Roadmaster Sedan and fell in love with it. Haven't bought it, but seeing some details about the Buick I8 is super helpful. The word on this car is that it has an intake bold that broke off and needs extracting, so I have been looking for info on that. The plan right now, once the car is in the drive way, is to soak, heat, and extraction kit.
Any day that you get a car running without catching fire is a good day. You did way better than the last guy who got frustrated and kicked in the door when it would not start for him. I bet if you inflate a football inside that door, that dent will pop right out. Looking forward to seeing more progress on this one when the new parts arrive. Thanks for sharing. 😎🚘
I'm totally obsessed with Buick straight 8s since watching the Hagerty channel where Davin rebuilt one and did a fantastic job of it. 1951 is my favorite year of the Buicks. It's great to see this one come back to life. Best of luck to you in your efforts and challenges in bringing it back. 🤠👍

Its worth fixing up...n keeping..homemade interior is sort of fun to do. I am doing a 51 ford..68 yr old mid michigan

That straight eight runs very well after sitting so long. Sad the rest of the car is in such sad shape.
