I have an idea... for DRAFTING.... and impartial person will screenshot the BIO of each player and then.. DRAFTING begins having some background of each player..I think the BIOs are funny for DRAFTING and getting to know the player.... it will make a fun moment of convo before the episode starts
I don’t hate that idea. Ive always hated how late the bios come in when they’re perfect scouting material before the draft.
I just think thats more editing and hassle that could be too much for this type of content. Plus when you get that late game reveal of the kid being 10 its hilarious. Personally love the blind way they do it now

That said, if taking 3 screenshots takes you more than 3 minutes of editing, I'm shocked they have an editing job.

Although interesting, I do think the reveal afterwards is more entertaining. To have a higher pick start to dud and then find out he likes to draw in his 2 point sport bio is just hilarious.

Prior to watching this episode, if my math is correct then whoever scores more points in this episode wins the controversial 1st episode trade between Jake and JoZack.
Update: Jake won the trade. It's happened twice this season where JoZack draft first and get 0 points from it.

Reposting my earlier comment cuz I stand by my great idea lol:
LOVING the new changes with the addition of Team JoeZack, and the new rules you added for Season 2, BUT I have one big suggestion:
It bummed me out to hear y’all telling JoeZack that their stellar Season 1 didn’t matter because the final episode was a “winner takes all” event. This means that all those exciting picks, trades, and wins mean nothing all season… but you have the perfect opportunity here to make the regular season and the Crag-Off more like an actual episode of Guts! Hear me out: Regular season is just the same as you have it setup, but then the Crag-Off is for MORE points added to your regular season total as opposed to just winning it all.
So you get the same chance to steal a win but your regular season moves and picks still mean something overall. The regular season episodes can be thought of as the individual events. Then the Crag-Off is like the Crag finale event!
Example (using current Watchin rules):
Regular Season: 0, 2, or 4 points
Possible Crag-Off Points: 0, 4, or 8 points

Hate to break it to ya but none of it matters. It's just entertainment, nothing is on the line. It's fun to watch, don't go that deep.
I think they should do it like a fighting game tournament. Fighting game tournaments are double elimination so they have a winners bracket and a losers bracket. Whoever makes it through the losers bracket goes to the grand finals where they face the winner of the winners bracket. In order to win the tournament the player from the losers bracket has to win twice, but the player from the winners bracket only has to win once.
Let's say for example, going into the crag brag, joez is in 1st place, Jake is in 2nd and Jimmy is in 3rd. Jimmy would be out of the competition. I mean he can still be there during the crag brag episode, but he can't compete. It would just be Jake and joez playing an episode of guts. If joez wins that episode then that's it. Joez wins the entire competition. But if Jake wins that episode then the bracket is reset and they play a second episode of guts. Then whoever wins that second episode, wins the entire thing.
I like this idea because it would make the crag brag episodes (most of them anyway) an hour long instead of just a half an hour which would make the crag brag feel bigger and more important. And it also gives a big advantage to first place while also giving some incentive to at least be in second place.

I wish there was a way to watch each contestant's "Spill Your Guts" before the draft so you have a better idea of who you're getting. Because right now it's mostly just first impressions off their entrance.

I watch these with my wife and told her as soon as Mo explained the grounds for DQ-ing someone on the high jump Jake’s pick was a lock to have a jump nullified. The very first jump attempt and it already happened lol

I think an interesting rule change could be that each game you get the number of points the kid gets. Could change up the strategy a good bit

1. Thank you for saying "Welcome back to playing watching guts" instead of "playing guts" it is by far the better and more accurate intro, and I wish you had put that on the t-shirt. I will order one regardless.
2. I would level an argument that missing the first actuator is both more acceptable because it is the first one they have seen (if they miss one towards the end when they already know exactly what to look for, I would be more disappointed. Also, missing the first actuator and immediately turning around instead of getting to the top and having a larger detour would be preferable for any competitor. I mean, it didn't change the result this time, but with a different athlete it could make all the difference.

I think that the trade offer was very fair. I would value Joez player as 0 points at the point of the trade deadline and Jake and Jimmy's players as worth 3 points. I think one regular pick swap is valued at about 2 points, ie I think a first round pick is likely to increase your finish by about 1 position. I think a mid-game pick swap is probably worth 3 points. It will definitely lift you at least one ranking, but could increase by 2. I would value 2 first round picks, this late in the tourney since you might not be able to execute both before the end or only for a 2nd round to 1st round, as worth about 3 points.
Thus I think both trades were 3 points for 3 points. If, however, Jimmy and Jake thought their picks were for sure winners then they are valuing their player at 4 points but Joez was only offering about 3 points worth of value. The stipulation that the trade only executes if Jake's player is beat by Joez' player, I think, pushes the trade back into Jake's favour as it would only execute if Jake's player is likely 2nd overall in the show and thus only worth 2 points (still maybe able to win so more like 3 points), but would have got 3 points from Joez. I think Jake should have taken that trade.
Mo & Joez love side quest is going to be devastating for Mo's husband. The man's a juggler.
To date that has to be the worst #1 pick. I feel bad for JoeZack but holy fuck that was hilarious. And it was so obvious that David was the weakest contestant from his frame and how bored he looked.
Also, that was legit JoeZack's fourth purple pick in a row. I think they're too biased by the purple crag. It is something to consider but you have to compare the strengths of the other contestants and if purple is worth taking over them. Taking purple every time is not a recipe for a championship.
