I listened to this as a fan rather than a contributor, if sometimes sideways, to her ideas. It made me feel quite sad about any time someone has intellectualised the creative process. Yet I think it is the stuff growth is made out of. The idea of the "cold take" giving rise to the "hot take", the sense of foreboding that artists face before they move between hemispheres, the idea of this album coming through during or after COVID & the pain that people may feel due to a loss of contact - all seem like feelings stolen when spoken about loudly.
