- In this video, I provide a Biblical perspective on the shadow, and I explain why our modern, western society has suffered spiritually because of repression. I also discuss the consistency between Jungian concepts, such as individuation, and the Biblical process of sanctification. I further provide Scriptural basis for the analysis of dreams and their archetypal elements.

It has become increasingly rare that I hear people talk about their dreams - or anything linking to their spiritual life. Everything is becoming progressively more physical, or fleeting, as you say here.
Indeed. Science and religion/spirituality are meant to work hand in hand. Go too far in either direction, and you end up in a dangerously rigid place. The greatest strides of advancement will come when science turns from materialism and embraces God and the spiritual reality. The church will be faced with hard choices in those days. In my eyes, one of the largest failures of Christianity was handing over science to materialism and government. Science lags behind because of material dogma and terrible government budgets. Christianity could easily produce abundant resources to fund and lead scientific advancement.
Sad, but true. Our culture is looking more and more like Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World", minus the "Soma". Of course, your "Soma" could be whatever you make it. Connect to the spiritual, and you will be set free from the carnal. Thanks for commenting.
