I'm thinking the same but for now xParticles has more leverage than C4D particles since it can do many more things. Just for now I guess. Soon C4D particles will have more features.
Wonderful tutorial Mikhail! As you suggested, i started out with Noseman's Introduction to particles on Cinevirsity. It's magnificent and crucial to get a solid understanding of the foundations of particles and how they work.
Thank you for the demonstration. Honestly, I did not observe any practical examples of particles over the web, only abstract concepts. I hope to see some professional vfx application sometime.
Awesome tut man! Can you make particles avoid collisions between each other? When they-re close to each other on the rock they collide and it looks like some kind of paste
Thx. I don't know if it supports octane render now. This question goes to octane team. Speaking of render geo objects you should use cloner and choose partciles as a source for cloner onject. Now it supports attributes directly from particles , such as color, scale. velocity.
Hey Mikhail, thank you sooo much for sharing this stuff ! I have a problem : when i put the RS object tag on the Particles group i can't see the "particles tab" inside the RS object tag I Can' t understand why, am i doing something wrong ? Thank you
WTF ! haha sorry, i'm going to answer my self : I had just installed the new version of Cinema 4D, but I hadn't updated Redshift. As a result, the old version of Redshift couldn't see the new particle system. I've since updated Redshift and everything is working fine now.
This is just a first release with particles from Maxon team i think they will add more features in near releases. Xp still has a lot of nice stuff such as flip solvers etc. but as for me I would prefer use native tools cuz Insydium fused cost a lot.
I hope it will take very fast updaters and save us from the insydium scourge.
if I'd known Maxon was going to make such an update to its particle system, I'd never have extended my X-particles maintenance a few days ago...
Xparticles still much better. C4d new system doesn’t have solvers and lots of other stuff

It's a good start. x-particles must sweat now.
@@petrholusa5855 Competition is always good! XP will start adding even better features now.
insydium fused is also a hell of a lot more than just particles now
это такой сюр, я слушаю русскоязычного человека, который говорит на анг, и которого переводит на русский браузер яндекс
Согласен))) Но я на международную аудиторию работаю, поэтому стараюсь на английском.

полезнейшее видео по данной теме. спасибо, Михаил, за такой удобный и понятный формат
Appreciate the in depth tutorial
Вау, очень круто! Thanks!

In the new version you simply can drag the hdri from the asset browser to work place and will create automatically dome light with the selected hdri😅
Yeap!

Great tutorial! Question: how do you render out particles in Octane? And can you replace particles with polygon objects?
Thx. I don't know if it supports octane render now. This question goes to octane team. Speaking of render geo objects you should use cloner and choose partciles as a source for cloner onject. Now it supports attributes directly from particles , such as color, scale. velocity.
Thank you soooo much for this tutorial!!
Can you make a rain tutorial like those fancy xparticles tutorials rain setups in default c4d?

Anyone else just getting particles falling through the floor plane object after a few seconds no matter what you do? a bug?

awesome. thx, very helpfull
RIP Insydium
how can we achieve this with x particles ?
i need stove flame in c4d 2024 plz
Do you think this is an xparticles competitor? or we're looking at Maxon buying them out
They can't be competitors
