London was a success from start to finish. We were very lucky with the weather.

It was near perfect event, we did phenomenally well. I will always be proud of what our nations delivered. The legacy of sport speaks volumes and the legacy of the whole park is incredible. I worked in the area for 6 years and it goes from strength to strength.

London 2012 was grand. I remember the whole nation being anxious about being embarrassed. But instead we were happy with the opening night. And we cleaned up in medals.

I had the enormous privilege of being right in the middle of it all living here in London and it was unquestionably one of the greatest summers of my life. I was fortunate enough to be there as the Olympic Torch Relay travelled through my home borough on it's inspirational journey to the then Olympic Stadium, and watched a couple of the fantastic Beach Volleyball games at Horse Guards' Parade, and it was all capped off with being amongst hundreds of thousands of other people to see Team GB 🇬🇧 on their awesome Victory Parade a month after the Paralympic Games were completed.
Sebastian Coe did everything right with London 2012. There will NEVER be another magical experience quite like it.
    Amazing. 👍👍👍👍😁😁😁🥇🥈🥉🇬🇧❤️👏👏👏👏👏👏

My company won the bid for the printing contract for the olympics and I hated it due to the fact I was sick at looking at anything about it because of all the work we had to do before hand. But it was a great games and we done amazing medal wise. Everything went pretty smoothly and we had one of the best opening ceremonies ever.

A massive howler was not collaberating with West Ham on Day 1 to have a stadium converted to Football
It was obvious that the Stadium was never going to work long term without Prem football...... They never do

Totally agree. Strange thing is Seb is a football nut, albeit a Chelsea one sho he should have realised the stadiums legacy would be football after the games.

@@chrisab66 I think his primary love is Athletics.... For obvious reasons.... But I guess he had a dream that Athletics could boom to such an extent that it could sustain the stadium..... A very expensive (and completely unrealistic dream) that wasted hundreds of millions

Its also not difficult to design a convertible stadium..... But the irony is that if you were to design a stadium that is not compatible for football.... It would pretty much be the current London stadium..... I think someone detested the idea of football being the legacy

Just host the Olympics every year in Athens, job done.

Greece can't afford to run the Olympics every year. Also, one of the attractions of the games is to have some diversity in venues, local culture and to allow different groups of people around the world to have direct exposure to a global sports event.

For once it’s nice to see SJ shut up and listen to a guest, he’s obviously in awe of him as normally he won’t let them speak

without a doubt this man would never be honest and up front if it meant displacing his arse from where he is/was.
London olympics stank and still does, especially living there during the games, its the same as everything else, great on the surface for the media but look deep into the background after and before.
