I thought it was about time for a new recipe for Swedish Kladdkaka, aka Sticky chocolate cake or mud cake. I made a recipe in 2014 that is still a favorite (www.callmecupc..., so really there is no need for improvement, but I thought I'd add a super simple on to my repertoire. This one requires only butter, eggs, sugar, flour, cocoa powder and salt. Ingredients that most people who love to bake most likely have at home. You don't NEED fresh berries and whipped cream for serving, but I definitely encourage it. Prep time is about 15 minutes and then only 15-18 minutes bake time (yes, that is correct!). And then time to cool of course!
I'm using salted butter for this recipe but you can use unsalted too and just add a couple of pinches extra of salt.
If you don't have a 18 cm springform pan you can still bake it, of course! Make sure to adjust the baking time accordingly, for a bigger springform pan I would bake it around 10-14 minutes.

I think I’ve found heaven watching your videos. Thank you for your work ❤
very beautiful! whenever I need two minutes of quiet, I find one of your videos, Linda. they really are special ♥
♥ That makes me so very happy to hear, thank you Babi!
The great thing about cake is it doesn't feel like work. You forget about work. Kids, adults, they all get the same look in their eye when they're decorating cakes. That's the magic right there. Love from Korea🇰🇷💕
You are so right! 💕 Thank you for your beautiful comment!
This looks Divine.
I was a student in Sweden and spent around two years there. I used to eat this cake all the time while studying, in espresso houses. Thank u for the recipe,it’s made me to recall those days! 🥹
I could watch you bake all day. Lovely video💕💕💕

I love your beautiful videos every single time 💕
That makes me so happy to hear, thank you! 💕
I am trying this tonight! I've had other mudcake recipes but they are never quit "it". So , I am excited to try this one, with berries and whip cream ( a must as far as I am concerned!)
I hope you liked it, Terry! :-) And I agree the whipped cream is a must for me too, although yesterday I ate it without and it was still so good!
Thank you, Linda. Your videos are always a delight to see, and this cake looks so delicious. I must try it, once the very hot weather leaves us (Toronto, Canada). Have a wonderful day! 🌸
Thank you for your kind words, Sashine! Oh, wow, is it that hot in Toronto now? It's 13°C here this morning, so cold! Have a great weekend 🌸
@@LindaLomelino Hi Linda, you're very welcome. Yes, yesterday felt like 40C in Toronto and it's been around that for the past few days. The first part of the month was a bit better. I don't use my oven from June until October, but I look forward to making this lovely cake. Thank you again! 🌻
It's been so hot here this summer that I've been dreading using the oven but I think I might have to turn it on for this beauty! It looks delicious :)
At least it only needs a few minutes in the oven :-) It'll be a perfect treat for winter too. Thanks Courtney!
I love gooey cakes so much! I'd probably have it with homemade frozen custard (the one I was inspired to make after your strawberry ice cream video!)
They're so good, aren't they? This one is ridiculously easy to make too! :-)
@@LindaLomelino It's so hot here in Texas but I just can't resist a warm melty cake 🤤
Beautiful❤️
So lovely, thank you
Thank you, Linda!
So beautiful 💖🌷
Thank you Nataly! 💕
This looks wonderful! Do you have to use a springform pan? What other pan could you suggest? Thank you so much!
Thank you so much!! You absolutely don't have to use a springform pan! As long as you're ok with leaving the cake in the pan you can use any pan that is the right size :-)
This looks just divine, but I've also been watching this on repeat for the beautiful music. Do you have a song name that you could kindly share? Thank you 😊
Thanks Alison! 😊 The song is Remembering by Ever So Blue!
@@LindaLomelino thank you so much
😍😍😍
😊😊
Any alternatives for egg?
Imho the nordic countries versions of mudcake are way better than anyother, the nordic recipes really rely more on the muddy texture that is the whole point of mudcake.
looking fabulous, but my god that is way too many blueberries
