This was pretty dope. It reminds me of my cheap ass Walmart detecor. Except it has TWO knobs but still one tone.
But my next idea for you is to use an old ww2 mine sweeper lol

Gotta love those old machines. Reminds me of the first detector I had, a Garrett Freedom 2+ . It worked pretty well and was really similar to yours. I found a lot of stuff with it, and it found the token that won my second detector at a seeded hunt in MI, many years ago. Once you found a target, you could turn the disc knob higher until the target sound disappears, and get a rough idea what it could be. You could also estimate the size the target by moving the detector back and forth over it And watching the coils swing distance as you move it. Fun machines they were! Keep Digging, A!

That’s funny. I bought the exact same detector about a year ago in a thrift store for $20. I bought it to resale, but did play with it for a few hours. Ended up selling it on eBay for $120. Not a bad profit.
Me & my wife sell on eBay as our full time job. We absolutely love our job & make more money then when we worked full time.

Really enjoyed this episode. Love the old detector. It works well actually. I like the simple ones. Do a episode for each individual detector you have. That would be great.👍👍👍 Thanks

ALL my detectors are from the 80's and 90's and they still do very well!

Surprised how reactive this one actually is, seems to process the signal really quick! I tried a modern $100 amazon detector it's pretty weak compared to this old one

I have an old M Scope Gold Bug. Pretty sure it was built in 1987. It's the only machine I've actually found gold nuggets with. Got a whites GMT goldmaster but it's so heavy I usually grab the Gold Bug, if Im prospecting. Zero discrimination or Iron reject... If it beeps you dig it 😂.

Someone told me that it doesn't matter what kind of detector you have if there are no good targets in the ground to start with. You got to go where people lose the coins and jewelry to make the good finds. Of course, it can be surprising as to where those places are sometimes.

A friend of mine had this unit during the early 90's & did real well with it at the schoolyards.......I sure miss those days!.....We can't hunt our local schools anymore. They are now guarded like Fort Knox now!

I bought a Garrett Freedom Ace from a rental place for 20 dollars about 10 years ago. Works fine! Any idea how old it is? It looks like yours in this video but it has two knobs for discrimination. Thanks for your video!!

You know after you've located a target item, re-scanning over it after increasing discrimination (sometimes repeatedly) should give a little better clue of what you are going to dig ... enjoyed the video.
