I grew two. I have one in the ground and one in a pot. The one in the pot gave me two beauty’s. Fairly large and very sweet. Mine ripened in the heat of August. No cracking just a beautiful tan with stripes. 48 grams. Got the cutting from off the beaten path
@@RossRaddi ahh ok. Harvey says in his video there’s 2 fig trees in the movie. Yours looks small and purple whereas mine is big and brown. Maybe yours is just much more ripe.
@@stevegrant4543there were two fig trees in the movie, yet one died before coop could get it. Keep in mind both the fig trees were/would have been at least 43 years old when coop found the people who had got the trees.
Hi, I'm interested in buying a RdB tree from you (on FigBid) to plant in ground in NYC (Zone 7). I want to be able to plant in-ground as soon as I buy it, as I don't think I have the right space to overwinter indoors. Will you be selling in the spring? Alternatively, is it OK to plant the new tree and overwinter it outdoors even at the young age. Also, I'd like to know how old the tree you're selling is. Thank you!
Without winter protection, that would be unwise. And if you're new, you probably shouldn't risk losing your tree. My two trees available for sale are like 6 months old.
This is one of my favorites. Grows great here in Texas too
The original tree is in 'Long Island' to be exact, although the original tree in long Island, it originally originated from Sicily.
This fig tree is an offer none of us can refuse

Awesome video. Thanks so much Ross. I love this!
Very nice! Do you think you’ll be able to review Texas peach this year? 😎 thanks Ross :)
Nothing this year.
Lol literally just got this variety yesterday. Looking forward to fruit next year!
Hey Ross, what is the ct ag station? I live in CT. Just wondering if I'm missing out on anything.
Are both figs from the movie in circulation? This doesn’t look like the godfather fig I have or the one in Harvey’s video.
Only one fig from the movie. This fig is the same as Harvey's. Just watched his video again. They match and are the same.

@@RossRaddi Thank you. The most I'd likely do outdoors is a simple wrap. Do you plan on selling in spring?
@@rhome4420 Absolutely.
@@RossRaddi Thanks, I'll be in touch in spring for those RdBs. Thank you!
Will you be selling starts from this tree?
There's one listed on my figbid link in the description right now.
I don’t know where they say this fig was in that scene but I’ve seen that scene a lot of times and I’ve never seen a fig tree in that scene.
It's in the movie for sure but if this tree he has is from that one tree, who knows? No one
I wanna buy one of those..

Can't refuse"...

Did you not say that Osborne Prolific is a green fig? This one has a dark skin.
The one the USDA has is mislabeled.
Do you sell cuttings from it?
