It’s incredible how Beethoven created such beauty despite his deafness! Do you have a favorite classical piece that always moves you? #Believe - Feb (from Evan's team)
@@EvanCarmichaelWell, besides Beethoven's 9th, I'd have to say Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. This may sound lame, but I'm a Historian by training and as such I understand what Tchaikovsky was trying to portray when he wrote it in 1880. Napoleon's campaign in Russia in 1812 was a singular moment in history both for Russia as well as Europe in general. And I feel the Overture captures the fear, determination, sorrow and glory of that time. I love it so!
I found myself crying... so beautiful , touching... That's actually the way we are supposed to be. . Randomly getting along altogether, adding each individualness to the whole. In this isolated quarantine time, it's even more moving scene. I wish you all well, my dear human companion.
I love how deeply the little children are affected by this tremendous piece by Beethoven. This music has the capacity to touch the soul, and believe me, little children's souls are deeply touched.
Thank you so much to everyone who performed in this beautiful event!! ❤ what an inspiration! I love to see the innocent joy of the children in the crowd and equally so, the adults who stopped to realize that this is a once in a lifetime special experience they had been blessed with 😊 What a gift!
I remember watching this video when it was first released. Now, in this time of uncertainty, it brought tears to my eyes seeing such a beautiful thing. I’m glad I encountered this video in a time where hope is needed 💛 thank you
A timeless piece like Ode to Joy is proof that immortality exists. Mozart, Beethoven, Pachbell, Tschaikovsky, Litzst, Haendel, Puccini, Williams, and many more classical composers will forever be Legends and myths. Thank you for sharing this video. I hope to see a symphony orchestra again - in live performance - before kicking the bucket.
Absolutely! Classical composers like Mozart, Beethoven, and others are indeed timeless legends. Thanks for sharing the video. Hopefully, you'll get to experience a live symphony orchestra performance soon! 😊 #Believe - Feb (from Evan's team)
I've read the backstory of this performance and it truly is amazing. The cellist waited for hours and was not going to start playing until someone added a coin to his hat. It was a story about what I would consider politics, anyway...He was very close to giving up and not playing at all. And the wee girl wanted to hear him. Her parents would not give her any coins and she saw all the coins in a nearby fountain, got one, and put it in his hat before anyone stopped her. The rest of his orchestra was waiting as well and it is absolutely amazing to me how music can be so fun and healing for so many if you allow it.
@@EvanCarmichael Ive shown perhaps a few dozen of these Flash Mobs videos and they do have some preplanned even without rehearsals. It’s the music and those few musicians and dancers that motivate the crowds of passing people that are then motivated to join in the fun and it is fun!
I am a musician, not by profession but for the pure joy of it. At 3:25, where those two little girls are conducting out of pure happiness,.... that's what we do it for. A successful performance for sure!
YES !!! I've watched this several times and I look for the joy on the faces of those 2 little girls each time, always brings a smile to my face .....and my heart !!!!
The song, the meaning, the spontaneity, the expressions on the people and those singing along, the child climbing the post to get a better view, and the child that started it all. It's all enough to bring tears to your eyes.
I don't know how many times that I have watched and listened to this. I never tire of it. Every time, it brings a tear to my eye. For me, music is all about how it moves people. For me, this is as moving as music can be. Young, old, and everyone in between in this video were all affected. Bravo -- and thank you -- to all of the.musicians who made this experience possible.
I'm almost 100% certain that Beethoven had exactly this kind of performance in mind when he composed it.. A joyful sound for the masses, especially the children.
I have heard this song so many times, and I still love it. It makes me happy when I am having a rough day. Thank you, heir Bethoveen for writing such a beautiful song

Back in 1989, my school choir was one of several chosen to be part of the "1,000 Voice Choir" at Disneyland to set off the Holiday Season. After we finished performing, we were allowed to play in the park, and of course just about everyone ran to Space Mountain, and the line was really long... Out of boredom, I casually started singing one of the carols, and my friends joined in one by one. Then it spread to others in our immediate area, and so on, until it seemed everyone in line was singing 8-parr harmonies... Back then there was no formal concept of a "Flash Mob", but it was still really fun.

I do too, no words.
Thank you for sharing. 🥰 #Believe - Feb (from Evan’s team)

Get part of something like this. It is an awesome feeling when you create great emotions like this in others and also the work before is amazing as well, getting a part of the team and feeling stronger boundaries to the others working with you. I can only recommend it
Back in 1989, my school choir was one of several chosen to be part of the "1,000 Voice Choir" at Disneyland to set off the Holiday Season.
