    Eric Clapton was my dad's favorite artists, his favorite that he often sang was tears in heaven.
    My father's eyes was my favorite when my father pass away. I had a hard time looking at his eyes as I was losing my best friend when he was suffering with cancer. I was pretty young and felt lonely and scared but I looked into dad's eyes and helped him cross over . Dad I love you and God Thank You for bringing me closer to you. Thank you Eric

      Yes...my dear father too...he had the most gorgeous eyes...I had to watch him die from cancer too. At least we were there and loved our precious daddy's to the end. Its the best we could do. All we could give. Love.

    Man, Clapton really hit his peak from 1999 to 2007. I haven't seen a bad performance from him at all from those years. Every solo is just blistering. Even his voice is great.

    No one who believes in God can ever be fatherless. He is the ultimate father to the fatherless, or even if you need a different kind of father than the one you have. God controls it all. No matter what you have, it's what God planned for you, and that is never wrong ❣❣❣

    • @ToddBrittain1963
      @ToddBrittain1963 3 місяці тому

      Nonsense. If as you say, "God controls it all. No matter what you have, it's what God planned for you, and that is never wrong", then the implication is (to cite a couple of examples) that if a child is orphaned, kidnapped and sold into slavery in a child-sex trafficking ring, or forced to endure sexual abuse from a close family member/relative ( just two among countless horrific scenarios that children are forced to endure all the time), it cannot be wrong because it's what God planned. If this is really what/how you think, then you're captive to a delusion to the extent you're prepared to believe in a god who - as you implied - cannot be anything other than a psychopath. There's a simpler explanation: Your beliefs are misguided and this god of whom you speak so fondly does not exist.

    • @kimberlykairo
      @kimberlykairo 3 місяці тому

      @@ToddBrittain1963 I respect your understandings and opinions. I will only say that the God I speak of is the one depicted in the Christian Bible,, of which I am a true believer. There, it is explained that we cannot think the thoughts of God. Also, many examples of God’s actions that we may not understand are given. Suffice it to say, God is God, and we quite obviously are not.

    I do not have my fathers eyes to look at ,did not even meet him until I was 30 years old. In spite of him leaving when I was born, when I met him he was a good man, but had his demons . He died 2 years later. The eyes I look into are my sons. He is a Family Minister at a church in VA. He was in an accident & lost the use of his legs. We still surf together & when I look into his eyes ... I want to cry but when I look a little deeper I see his passion for life, its all in his smile & his devotion to his 3 children , his wife and God

    eric never knew his father.
    he was abandoned by both his parents.
    this is a very personal and childishly hopeful song.
    conor, his son, died and he wasn't there to stop it.
    eric's story is universal and so is this song of searching.
    eric became a man the day his son fell 53 stories.
    a working man and a working artist.
    long road down to up.
    a bluesman, not someone imitating the blues.

      Das ist ein wundervoller Song von Eric. Er weckt große, wunderschöne Emotionen an meinen lieben Vater. Leider hat er mich durch einen Autounfall vor 63 Jahren verlassen müssen. Da war ich gerade erst 12 Jahre alt. Er wird immer seinen Platz in meinem Herzen haben.
