PLEASE READ!
So yeah...I found out the Jersey Boys movie existed through the trailer in like May. Saved up money, saw the movie, loved it, and wanted to pay tribute to it despite my terrible, always freezing/breaking down video program. Is this one of the best videos I've made? Probably not, but I'm still proud of it. It took a lot of time, I tried new things, and hey, it could've been worse considering how bad my program is. Plus, first attempt in HD
Jersey Boys, for those who don't know, is the story of the 60's group the Four Seasons told through their music (with hits like Sherry, Big Girls Don't Cry, Walk Like a Man, and Who Loves You just to name a few). It was a Broadway hit in 2005 and was made into a Clint Eastwood directed movie released on June 20th

NOTES:
Couldn't find clips for 2 scenes (the feet tapping and the Neon sign). So I kept the trailer footage and tried to make those look animated.
When they're singing 'Big Girls Don't Cry', I couldn't get a good enough clip of Hercules talking and what not, so I made it look like he was dancing. They did dance you know, this is a musical.
Originally, I was gonna use Jim Hawkins from Treasure Planet for Tommy DeVito (the bad boy). However, not only did my footage not come out right, but I couldn't decide what went where. So Flynn Rider went from Nick Massi to Tommy DeVito while Dimitri became Nick Massi.
There's actually some symbolism there:
Tommy DeVito's actor Vincent Piazza was the only one the four actors not to appear on the stage show of Jersey Boys. Flynn is the only non 2-D Jersey Boy.
The actor who plays Nick Massi, Michael Lomenda, is Canadian. Did you notice all the boys except for Dimitri are Disney? That's a subtle little nod. Plus the real Nick Massi passed away and (I know this sounds kinda mean) but Fox Animation- which made the movie Anastasia- is basically dead.
All of the Jersey Boys are from one-named movies (Aladdin, Hercules, Tangled, Anastasia). If Jim Hawkins was to be Tommy, then all the 2-D Jersey Boys would have been from Disney movies directed by John Musker & Ron Clements and 3-D Flynn would represent Canadian actor Michael Lomenda.
The scene with Meg pulling the curtain to show a partially undressed Hercules is in reference to the scene in the trailer where they discover Bob Gaudio had sex for the first time. A naughty little reference there, but I saw the opportunity and I took it. I tried to match up some other clips like Dimitri jumping down the stairs is equivalent to Nick sliding in the church, the thing with Flynn near the beginning was supposed to be like their attempted crime, Flynn/Tommy listening to Hercules/Bob propose a partnership with Aladdin/Frankie, a comeback concert for 'Who Loves You', and the fight where Tommy lunges for Frankie.
Yes, you are seeing 2 Odettes from Swan Princess as the twins. In a twist, the evil Odette (Rothbart's hag in disguise/Odile as she's also been named) is the "good" twin and good/real Odette is not.
Ooh surprise, surprise I used Aladdin & Dimitri again. Can you blame me? Aladdin & Anastasia are 2 of my favorite animated movies (and movies in general). This is the first time you see Hercules though. Fun Fact: growing up, I thought Hercules was the cutest and he happens to play the Jersey Boy I think is the cutest (Erich Bergen as Bob Gaudio). Aladdin, one of my favorite heroes, was the original out of the 4 boys and John Lloyd Young (Frankie Valli) was the original Frankie on Broadway too.
