  • Don't ask me what I was thinking when I combined these ideas. I seriously have no idea how this came about but I made it anyway.
I'd kinda also like to think of this as a little celebration of the different kinds of families out there. No one family is the same and we should celebrate what makes our family special.
Sappy little side note out of the way; some of you probably have no idea what this is a spoof of. The trailer I used is for the movie 'The Birdcage'. It's a 1996 movie version of the French play/musical 'La Cage Aux Folles'. The plot is about two gay men (Robin Williams & Nathan Lane) who's twenty year old son announces he's getting married. The son's fiancée is the daughter of a conservative Ohio senator (Gene Hackman) who is in the middle of a scandal. So the son convinces his family to change their lifestyle to impress the daughter's parents and of course, things go wrong. My description doesn't really do much, you should check out the movie for yourself.
So the plot is basically the same except Disney style...and Aladdin's adopted parents are a Genie and a cross dressing alien and they have a llama as a butler/housemaid.
    CAST
Armand Goldman: Genie- yes they are both played by Robin Williams that was one of the reasons I picked him.
Albert Goldman: Pleakley- I needed a character who was in drag. Timon seemed like an obvious choice, but I couldn't get scenes out of him. Plus a Genie marrying an alien makes more sense than a Genie marrying a meerkat. You'll also notice Pleakley wears 3 different outfits (not counting the Hula dress for the little credit part); the orange dress is like what he wears on a regular basis, the sailor suit is what he wears when trying to act all manly and masculine, and the 'Auntie Pleakley' outfit with the wig is what he wore to play the part of a mother for the Keelys- cool, huh?
Val Goldman: Aladdin- he's a cute young adult
Barbara Keeley: Jasmine- goes well w/ Aladdin
Senator Kevin Keeley: Pacha- I guess the main reason was he had black hair and was married to a black haired woman. But if you've seen The Birdcage and Kronk's New Groove than you might think this was a good choice.
Louise Keeley: Chicha- just because I needed a wife for Pacha
Agador Spartacus: Llama Kuzco- Agador is the gay "housemaid" who lives w/ the Goldmans and makes a very terrible, very clumsy butler

    You should have used Timon.

He also would have used Kim Possible's parents as Kevin and Louise and probably Smithers as Agador Spartacus.

@@hamursh Actually, it's a: "she", not a "he". And she explains why she didn't use Timon in the description.
