I forgot to mention that I wrote more than just one essay for the QuestBridge National Match application. I only talked about the largest and most important essay from that application. If you are interested in seeing some of the my other essays, I will be releasing them alongside my QuestBridge National Match Part 2 video later this summer!
Hi, loved your video !! I will be applying for fall 2022 and I am an international student who will be applying from India. Due to Covid i won't be giving my SAT exams, do you think that it will affect my chances to get in
It should not. If I am not wrong, Stanford is going to be test optional this upcoming admissions year. Not having a score to report won't hurt you. That being said you still want to make sure that other parts of your application are strong!
I just don't think a person who did 2 APs would even be put on "almost" the same level as another person who did 10 APs. That is just incentivising laziness. There would be no benefit for students to move to the top performing private schools if that were the case if the marginal benefit was soo tiny
I totally agree! I'm not sure if you're referring to my previous comment about how many ap classes to take? If so, I meant 2-3 ap courses a year, for a total of 8-12 by the end of high school!
The group chat is part of the QuestBridge Program I applied to for the full ride. Finalists of the program are all put in a Facebook group chat. So the only way to access it would be to get accepted to the program. In case you dont want to go down that road I recommend looking for Reddit pages like r/applyingtocollege where there are large communities of students!
Are ap exams hard? How many exams should I actually give in future? I know it would look weird but I am 15 and my one and only dream is to study abroad cuz indian education system is worst and the society is old minded,I am stressed
AP Exams are meant to be hard. A top score of 5 is typically achieved by getting around 60% of the points on the exam. As for how many you should take, that varies based on where you want to apply. I would research the schools and get a general idea of the scores expected from students.
I took 2 my freshman year, 3 my sophomore year, and 5 my junior year. I'll admit doing 5 in a year was a bit excessive, but I think 2-3 a year is good if you can do well on the tests. I only recommend 4 or more if you can keep up with the work, and still do well!
Don't forget to leave your questions in the comments! I will try my best to answer them! I want you to succeed!
You seem to be a really genuine person my friend

Hey there!
Great content!
I was just wondering whether I have to provide proof of my extra-curriculars and achievements.
As far as I know, you don't have to provide proof. I did not provide any. That being said I would refrain from lying 😅.

@@AlexAlvaradoB thanks
Congratulation!
Did you submit your ACT score? My test scores weren’t exactly high so I’m a bit scared
I did submit mine. Mine wasn't that high either but I think I made up for it with great AP scores.

Jaja, me olvide que hable en español durante mi celebración. Yo nací en Estados Unidos, pero mis padres son del Salvador 🇸🇻! ¿Y vos?
@@AlexAlvaradoB soy de Argentina 🇦🇷❤
also could you please give me some tips on my application
If you have any specific questions (especially as you have them when applying) I would be glad to answer them here or on my insta @realalex.ab!

@@AlexAlvaradoB Cool. Did you self study the 2 APs in your freshman? And what subjects were they?
@@reardelt I did not self study. I took the courses at my school and the classes were human geography and Ap comp Sci principles!
@@AlexAlvaradoB Wow. Your school is awesome. Did you also do Calc BC and Physics C in G10?
@@reardelt I was not that smart lol. I did calc bc and physics c mechanics my senior year...so this year.
Good content
Thank you!
What are you majoring in?
I plan on majoring in computer science!
@@AlexAlvaradoB wow that's cool! :D I'm planning to major in CS too. I'm a junior rn
