Just saw Arlo and his band at The Ark, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, last night. I was only introduced to Arlo McKinley by playing samples of his songs, while viewing the show schedule at The Ark. Then I listened to more of his songs on You Tube. I decided to purchase two tickets to the wonderful venue that The Ark is, and hoping my wife would agree to go with me as she is skeptical of seeing bands she's unfamilar with. (She is also legally blind with a bad back and doesn't feel comfortable out after dark). Anyway, Arlo started the show with a few solo acoustical songs, which were quite amazing. Then he added his band, one member at a time, until he had the whole group onstage. That's when I realized that we were seeing a great performance, one of our most memorable in a while. I´m crying....so strong!
I have a friend that is teaching me guitar after I stopped a couple years ago... this song is what he’s teaching me and I love it... I love it and I was just shown it today...
Um yes please..... Someone that helps you grieve when you didn't even know you needed to hurt...
Shiloh Store yes!!!
Well said!!
Oh, shiloh. Well spoken 👍
Shiloh Store standing here with tears in my eyes, this is the perfect description of what’s happening to me right now.
Shiloh Store Damn. You nailed that.
Yes, I love the raw, message and the second he starts playing the guitar and singing, I'm mesmerized. Loving it
Pure and raw...the best way

#weMustBeRelated
You want it, I can feel it
Got a bag of pills, I've been dealing
So I can take you drinking
Don't tell me about a love thing
We'll get high and talk until morning
And you can catch me sleeping
[Chorus]
AND ALL I NEED NOW I don't want
AND ALL I LOVE NOW it's all gone...to my head
Hail Jesus can you save me
Didn't think so guess that you're busy
I guess we're all busy
I remember when you told me
If I believed I'd never be lonely
I think you were lying
[Chorus]
AND ALL I NEED NOW I don't want
AND ALL I LOVE NOW it's all gone...to my head
LOVE I don't want it
it's so easy, to die
LOVE I don't want it
it's so easy, to die
This song is as beautiful as it is simple. A man and a guitar making magic.
Oh my lord what a voice
Why can I not stop listening to this song? Love is an understatement . Why is this man not a household name? Xo
He’s Rocking a Sturgill Simpson shirt. Genius recognizing Genius
The moment you figure out what this song is about is the moment you’ll realize how much you appreciate this guy that you don’t even know. Amazing play on words. Impressive to say the least.
My thoughts exactly .
this song just speaks to the soul, if you have one
My friend you are a saint for bringing this forward. I do believe from the bottom of my heart I know where this song comes from. Thank you for the awakening!
I'm a 47 yo biker
i just found this
i cried like a baby
thanks
At least you know you're not as hard as you may appear to be, nothing wrong with being vulnerable!
@@littlewing1083 ..... no matter how hard the stone with age the edges get worn the bad dreams fade ...
@@charliebuckets8849 my edges have been smoothed over by time.....circles change with age as well......running with a softer crowd will speed up that process.
This song really makes me feel some kinda way. I feel like ol dude is singing from the heart.
I GUESS WE'RE ALL BUSY"........never too busy for this my friend......
This song has just captured my soul. I feel like it's been apart of my mind for years now... I just heard it last month
Is it just me? Or does this have the feel of grunge and country mixed together. Like if Alice in Chains did some country.
phatfire29 I have listened to this so many times because I also hear a strong similarity to another song from years ago.. like 90ish... and I still can't put my finger on it.. I love it and love how a newer song can take us back yet also give us something fresh!!!
I've flat-footed to Alice in Chains so it's easy for me to be agreeable to that description
Thats called Aaron Lewis.
Well he is playing a signature guitar from the lead singer of Rancid
🍆💦💦😨
The following lyrics at the end, I felt in the very Core of My Soul! I’ve cried out a similar prayer and hearing this tonight got my attention as I quit what I was doing and listened all in word for word as Arlo sang.
Thank you for sharing your gift with the world Arlo!
Lyrics:
Hell Jesus, can you save me?
Didn't think so, guess that you're busy
Well, I guess we're all busy
Cause I remember when you told me
If I believed I'd never be lonely
Now I know you were lying
And all I need now I don't want
And all I've loved now, it's all gone
To my head
