Just because of the i6, BMW. I kind of like the styling of the Benz better, but the zoom zoom factor pushed me toward the BMW. I enjoy the side-by-side comparison of the vehicles very much. Great video!
48 miles, officially. Here is my full review of the GLE, starting with that figure. ua-cam.com/video/WGR5WrXE2u8/v-deo.htmlsi=-7S2hQy2cGIAgJBJ&t=631 Hope that helps.
I’d go 40i M Sport, it drives like a M60i (just without the extra power) and it should be reliable for at least 80k-100k miles, I don’t recomend the 50e as BMW PHEVs aren’t reliable
@@viewsonvehicles try a 40i non M-Sport and a 40i M Sport, you will notice a difference, my dad ordered a X5 40i with the M Sport Pkg recently and we wouldn’t get a X5 40i without it
Money no object, the Cayenne. It drives extremely well! But, it's also $30K more than the BMW and $25K over the Mercedes, the ones I tested anyway. I hope that helps.
That's good to know, I was wondering the same. Personally, I'd probably lease this and since this car will drive nearly 100mile/day I'd probably get the air suspension, which the 40i doesn't let you add without removing the M Sport package.
@@SK-so5nj don’t get air suspension on the X5, my dad has a 2025 X5 40i M Sport fully loaded with adaptive M suspension which rides just as good as X5s with air suspension due to adaptive dampers while having superior handling, get a X7 if you really want air suspension on a BMW SUV
Great job, thanks! We are shopping. We have been a BMW Family and recently looked at Mercedes. The braking system with Mercedes has me concerned. I wish this had been addressed.

Thank you! And, yeah, totally agree, the I-6 is a big plus.
No compromise BMW all day long.......
very comprehensive review. thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful!
Maybe I missed it but how much ev only range is the Mercedes? I saw you said 40 for the bmw

Which one is better to buy x5 40i or x5 50e?

I've only driven the 50e of the current X5s, so I cannot say, unfortunately. I'll see if I can get a 40i to test

No need for a big engine Waste of money I have X640I more power than I can handle.
Bmw for me all day long 😊
Mercedes! Nice comparison video
Thank you!
If you put cayenne ehybrid in the mix, what would you pick?

Please compare the 2025 Accord and Camry.
It's on my to do list.
X5 is better however I’d pick the 40i over the 50e for reliability
What was your reason?
@@timp8332 BMW PHEVs aren’t reliable generally speaking but they are def better than they used to be

@@CarGeek360 idk what you mean with BMW PHEV being unreliable, have a 2021 45e with 100k on the clock, never had a single issue and it runs like new

Good luck with your shopping
Good comparison.
Thank you! I'm glad you like it. I will put another one together soon.
@@viewsonvehicles I appreciate the opinions of ‘this over that’ for a given use case.
Mercedes Benz for more luxury and a Panoramic roof.
BMW
BMW…like the other guy said, the zoom, zoom factor 😅
Mercedes has power 2nd row in the 450e???? What! Now that’s nice. Never understood $80k+ and being stingy with pull-down second row seats.
Yeah, it's nice and it does more than just fold down: ua-cam.com/video/3ZeGR8bfGnY/v-deo.html
BMW is not regenerative which is stupid. And their AC system no auto is a joke. Stiff ride, inside sucks. Mercedes much more luxury for money.
Not sure about your suv but my bmw x5 50e certainly has regen brakes
