Good video. I put a Strapcode Oyster on mine. It is much better quality than the Seiko OEM bracelet and most definitely raises the level of the Sarb. It feels even more like hi-end luxe watch now. Congrats on snagging one before prices got really crazy.
I had a question about the Seiko sarb033. I am interested in this watch for purchase, the condition is pristine with box and papers. The seller wants $530.00, so my question is if it’s worth it or should I wait for something else? This would be my first watch. Thank you for any feedback
I would say value is relative. For that price, I would look into the micro brand realm as well but they don’t have the same provenance as Seiko does. My highest ceiling for this line is $400 but the selling price of SARBs lately is steadily rising. As a first watch, you can’t go wrong as the SARB033 is super versatile with strap options. It could be your one and only watch and it would fit most if not all occasions. If it had a threaded crown, I would be less hesitant for $530. Just know that hype is also part of the price increase. Thank you for watching!
Hi! On the top of my head, check out the new Traska Commuter, it has a Datejust/SARB design. I would also look into the Nodus Contrail 39, but it has a ‘sportier’ feel and less dressy and is not in production right now. Let me know what you think.
@@WeekontheWrist I love that Traska but it's basically the same price as the sarb. Are there any other options at a lower price point that you can recommend?
Value is subjective, but I don’t think it’s worth it for that price in my opinion. The quality and specs are up there and was pushing boundaries when it was at around the $300 price point, but more than doubling the sale price is a little too steep to me. If I could suggest, look for a used one to try it out and see if you would want a brand new one still. Thanks for watching the video and good luck!
Go for a new one even it’s overpriced. At the end of the day you’ll appreciate it more. Although it’s a same watch but now you’re living in 2021 and NOT the year it was introduced. You can’t reverse time and the value it comes with it is tremendously flawless. For your information I owned one and never crossed my mind to flip it.

Thank you! Haven’t had experience with StrapCode before, it’s on my list of brands to check out for sure. I got a heck of a deal 😁
Very nice, beautiful piece! I like that you showed different bands on the watch.
I appreciate it man, I notice not a lot of reviews do that 😁
Not sure if you like chunky bracelets but Islandwatch.com has a jubilee bracelet made just for the SARB. Thinking about getting one myself.
I’ll check it out! Thanks for the suggestion!

@@WeekontheWrist which micro brand watches do you recommend instead?

How much cheaper are we looking at?
I love that watch and own one myself but that video makes me so sleepy.
Thank you for the input! Have a nice day.
Im trying to find one at a steal 295 is a great price!
Agree! Can’t pass a deal like that. Best value for a weekday watch. Thanks for watching!
Planning to get a brand new piece for about 720 USD. Is it worth it at this price?
