Ok so what if my male cockatiel is like this all the time? I tried giving other food be he staves himself. Given new toys, wont really play.. only cuddles on the head, when he asks..

My macaw too... And she knows "it could never work" which gets her frustrated... We are seeing a new/ better avian vet in a few weeks to try to get to the bottom of things (she plucks now too ☹️)

I need help, i have a male conure only have had him for about a month and he is really bonded to me his aggressive to anyone else except my boyfriend.
Anyway more recently he has been humping my hands and ive been putting him on his perch to distract him but he will literally just fly towards me and " cuddle " with me.
I try to ignore him and sometimes i even throw him away ( he can fly perfectly ) so he can stop cuddling me, i do training and i usually give him only green veggies like cucumber, brocoli, red peppers, carrots. His fav is rasberries but im trying to avoid that right now because i know about the soft food impact it has.
    someone please help x

please help!!! Maybe around 1 and a half month ago my female cockatiel sometimes started doing her mating sounds when i scratched her head it was not frequent and i just immediately stopped and waited until she didnt do the sound anymore which didnt take long. Im not sure but maybe i touched her back without realizing but whatever just wont do it again. But its progressed and today she wanted me to scratch her, i only just started to scratch the very top of her head and boom she started immediately making the sounds. I stopped the second she started but this time she went on for like 4 or more minutes. I am so confused because i didnt even touch her back or anything. I always avoid touching there but she continues to do it. I need help i dont want her to become frustrated bc of this. Btw she is not aggressive to me at all or nests anywhere. I also have a male, but he is not interested at all in my female. Hes more interested in inanimate objects.

It's true if I bring a female to my male cockatiel if they mate the behavior could change for the male. So I will not pet him anymore? Or even touch him?

I have a question. A friend of mine got bit by his, Sulphur-crested cockatoo, male on the lip pretty hard. Now when I visit the bird likes me so my friend asked me to bird sit the bird for a awhile since he has another, female who is very gentle.
Anyway, that was about a year ago. Since then the bird has been pretty good for the most part. Bit me about a half dozen times, but we seem to have that worked out.
HOWEVER, now the bird keep attacking my from off his perch. He also, squawks when I leave and I have to put cover his cage when I leave so he won't wake up the whole block. So now when he's with me in the office, he doesn't even like it when I go into the other room, again, squawks way too loud, and then attacks me. I've gotten pretty good at swiping him away in the air when he attacks, then put him away in his cage. Now NOTE: He doesn't like this, he wants to be out of his cage with me, but keeps attacking me after a 5 minutes or so when I take him out.
At night, he just wants my to hold him and he cuddles under my chin as I pet him. Goes back to his cage, goes to sleep.
HOW do I get him from attacking me? This is also the first bird I've ever had and I don't want to hurt him when I swat him away from attacking me. By the way, he goes right for my face and during our kerning curve, got me on the neck twice.
So I do I get him to stop attacking me? AND does it have something to do with him being hormonal at a certain part of the year? And if that's the case, how long will this last.
I'm a big guy, but feel like I'm walking around like Inspector Clouseau waiting for Kato to attack me at random. lol Any advice would greatly be appreciate.

My cockatiel and I have a strong bond, and I know it. However, he has been very bitey lately and has been screeching a lot. This behavior worried me, but the odd things is whenever he sees my sister he does heart wings and begins singing. It’s like I’m the annoying mom and she’s the girlfriend or something 🙄🙄. But he’s been vicious towards me like I’ve never seen before. He’s 9 months old so I think this is his time? But I feel like this weird stage has been lasting awhile now. I just feel so upset because when I take him out he might be sweet towards me, but when he sees my sister he suddenly becomes super aggressive. I’m not sure if he’s just hormonal, or if this is just something instilled in him; because it’s not like I can give him to her, she doesn’t even like my bird. If anyone has some advice please share, I just want to get my buddy back 💔

My Sun Conure is 18 and I have been getting randomly bitten since daylight savings time started. I have tried just about everything to curb the hormones (she has laid eggs in the past). I hope she calms down soon. This has been one of the worst spring seasons with her

I remember when my tiel started acting hormonal on me and tried to pleasure itself on my hand, my immediate response was to flip him on his back and hold him there for about 5 seconds (he absolutely hates that). Only took 4 attempts for him to realize trying that sh*t on me is only going to end annoyingly bad for him 😎

So we are supposed to suppress all natural instinct? I’ll be honest. I let my bird get stress relief by jumping my knuckles a few times a year. There are some excellent suggestions, (10-12 hours of darkness, limit access to nesting materials, blueberries, romaine lettuce, and so forth. Is it an embarrassing behavior? I suppose. But if you see the anxiety, know the pitch of your cockatiels’ voice when stressed and frustrated, it’s better to let him or her get some “relief.” Afterwards we cuddle & no I’m not a sex offender. 🙄
